Pixel C won't turn on, no google Logo, no USB Identification - Pixel C Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I didn't use my pixel c for some weeks, today I charged it but it does not turn on.
It does the 4 coloured stripe on the LEDs in the back, but nothing else. No google logo, no USB Identification, nothing on the screen.
If I tap it I see that it is fully charged.
If I shine my torch on the screen i also don't see anything, so the backlight is not the problem.
Is this a known problem? is there a button combination for lower level access than recovery mode?
Thanks for your help

How long did you hold the yellow reset button for?? Did it vibrate while you were holding it down? If so how many times?
Are you able to get the device into Fastboot or Flashmode by connecting to the PC with Vol +/-??
Reset button,i hold for 15 seconds, and after vibrate 3 times, then when i do it after turn on power button, make nothing, only led red blinking, when i connect in fastboot mode (volume -) dont happen nothing, when plug on flashmode (volume +) only turn on led red, again.....
will be the battery problem? like to know if that?
thanks in advance
i have the same issue

hi there, i have the same issue with my xperia zl not charging just red led light flashing 3x but i manage to turn him back to life with this method,
1.push the reset botton untill the device vibrates 3x.
2.leave the phone alone atleast 2 days.(do not push any botton on the phone on that time span)
3.plug it in to your wall charger for an hour, then try to turn it on while still on the charger.
4.dont let your phone turn off ever again.
I do this every time for 4 months now. but im planning to get the z2 on december as my replacement!
hope it works for you.
Well, just download a program called Light Flow.. It's a program that manage the notification light

as I know its a battery problem.... I think you better replace the phone if its on warranty.
Any body have issues after replacement???.. Mine just went went for replacement...It restarts after SONY logo
I want my phone replaced. There is a display glitch in my zl which acc. to customer care is a software bug but i am experiencing it in every version.
Is there anyway i can make my phone reach that dead state so that it can be replaced?
How exactly did your ZL go into red led blinking state?

Note 5 with serious issues: Screen dim (Almost unreadable), battery icon center

I was given a Note 5 to fix. I do not know the history of the device. If a Android update was attempted or why it is needing to be fixed. It presented with a very dim (almost unreadable, except in completely dark room) screen. I have wiped cache and master reset the device. I can see that the powered off battery icon is center screen all the time and it is solid black. I cannot power it off via the normal power button but I can power it on. I can power it off using the power button + volume down. The touchscreen is responsive and not cracked or broken at all. The back, multi and home buttons react normally to touch and light up. When plugged into power or PC, it does charge and will show a red LED when charging and a green LED when battery is full. The sounds are normal as far as I can tell. I cannot get the screen to change when I swipe or press a center button. I was able to get a picture of a begrizzled man peering closely at the phone trying to figure out what the hell the problem is. So, softwarewise, some of it seems to be working. But, I cannot figure out the dim screen. Like I said earlier, there no cracks or even scratches in either glass, front or back. The bottom portion of the stylus is broken, but I was able to use a tiny phillips head to stick up in the open area and it working. I get a sound and vibration when it is removed and inserted.
Any ideas?

For some reason when the phone detects that the battery is under 5%, it will forcibly dim the screen until it is charged above 5% or plugged in. Maybe the phone thinks that the battery is at or below 5%. Have you tried plugging it into a power source to see if the screen lights up?

Update #1 - Somehow, without knowing how, I managed to turn on an Accessibility option for the phone to tell me what buttons or actions I have taken. Unfortunately for it is in Spanish. I guess I should have taken Spanish in high school...

Yes, I have plugged it to the wall, I have plugged it to my PC and I have wireless charged it. It seems to charge to full as the red LED turns green.

New pixel C not charging - can it be charged in recovery mode?

This is the third new pixel C I've tried this week(!) and they've all had the identical problem.. It would be incredibly bad luck to have 3 defective devices so I'm wondering if this is a known problem and there's something I can do to fix it.
The device will never go further than flashing the google logo very briefly. The light bar shows all red for a fraction of a second, then nothing. After this point the display is blank and the light bar is dead and does not respond to tapping.
If I go into recovery and select 'turn off device', the light bar is responsive but just shows a single red segment.
I've also tried the usual 10-20 seconds power off and the volume up/down/power switch combinations.
Is there any way of getting the device to charge from recovery mode?
Wonder if it's reasonable to assume that recovery mode consumes less power so the problem is a deeply discharged battery and I think that is a significant issue with Lipo cells. I assume your " 10-20 seconds power off and the volume up/down/power switch combinations" are those recommended at https://support.google.com/nexus/troubleshooter/3337561?hl=en-GB&ref_topic=6023299
Is the Pixel C charger "intelligent" ? - try a basic charger or a PC if you have a usb A/C cable?
Booted to recovery, powered it down from recovery and left it 2 hours. After a couple of attempts it booted :victory:
I left my pixel c on charge for the night (usb charge hub, 5v/2a, way I've used to charge since I got it), pixel c keyboard attached in the laptop position.
This morning I got up and press the power button to check it is charged and it was sitting on 0% saying it was charging... Power it off, leave it plugged into the wall charger that came with it and 3hrs later still nothing.
Recovery, turn off, closed it up so the keyboard is in put in the bag move, now checked it is charging, 1 red segment flashes. See what happens next. Never had an issue in the previous 7 months of using this device. Very odd, hope it is ok soon... Best Android Tablet I've had, don't really want to buy a new one...
Edit: looks like it is all good. Phew!! Bit strange.
Just Recieved and the same
Another one here with the same "issue" or strange thing that it does before start charging
I have the same issue. I can't get the thing to turn on at all. How do I even get it into recovery?? All I get is the google logo for 1 second, then the bars turn red and everything turns off.
Power button does nothing. Power+Vol Down does nothing.
I have a similar issue! Welcome to 2021. I plug in to charge, lightbar goes to Google colors and then red. It'll do that back and forth without turning on. Any ideas?
Had same Problem. Press vol up and down and then Connect the charger. Then I coud boot in recovery mode. From there rebooted in Android and charge up

Xperia Z2, flashed long time ago, screen all black out but still responsive

It was 2 days ago since my phone screen suddenly black out, still responsive thought, checked by entering the passcode, answers call, and turn on the flashlight. If i pressed the power button which means screen on, the screen showing a very low white light over all the place. And when i pressed the power button again which means screen should go off, it's off like a normal. I tried search for solutions mostly suggests to sony companion software repair that brings to factory reset. But sadly i can't use it because my it says i'm using modified software. I'm planning to flash my phone again. Currently, usb debugging is off and can't turn it on since the screen black.
Any suggestions for what should i do? Maybe cast the screen to pc using some apps?
