Track my runs? - Samsung Galaxy Watch

I like to reach my runs with Strava, but I also like syncing them with Google Fit and Samsung Health. I tried using Syncmytracks after my first run with the Galaxy watch active 2 and that resulted in the run showing up twice in Samsung Health. I like the built in Samsung run tracker, but if like it to upload those runs to Strava automatically. There is a setting to connect the two, but it didn't seem to do anything so I tried Syncmytracks...
Also anyone know how to enable other charts? Samsung Health says you can only view two of them.

FitBit One with Bluetooth on Galaxy Note 10.1 2014

Has anyone managed to get a Fitbit working on a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014? Wife brought herself the new note plus a Fitbit One but it doesn't show in devices and there's no way to sync it. Strangely the Galaxy Note 10.1 is listed as a compatable device on the Fitbit website but guess that must be the 2012 model as this thing just won't connect as it doesn't appear in the devices bluetooth menu. I can't understand it though, as it has Android 4.3 and Bluetooth 4.0 so it should work, but no joy. I've tried emailing Fitbit support but they don't seem to be understanding the problem, and just insisting to restart the Fitbit. My Xperia Z however picks it up no bother.

I have it working with Note 8, didn't try with 10.1. It doesn't show under bluetooth options, you don't pair like other devices. Install their app, follow instructions within it to connect.
Update:
I got it working by using the all devices app mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2492436
By the looks of it they are configuring the device setup menu to appear on a per model basis, as the new device menu would not appear on the official store app. However the performance is pretty poor and the tablet seemed to suffer some slow down shortly after, so ended up uninstalling it again! My conclusion is Android is great in some respects and I love using it, but third party accessory support can be patchy when compared to Apple.

Connectivity problems?

I've had the SSW2 for a while, and it worked with the Samsung Galaxy S4 that I had (I think I used it with one other device, but I can't quite recall). I had some connectivity issues, but none of them stopped the function of the watch. However, when I got the S6 (LL 5.1, then updated to M6.0), it outright stopped working. It's being recognized through Bluetooth, but I'm not receiving any notifications, nor are any of my apps coming through onto the watch (Watchify, Find Me, GPS, etc). I'm getting the standard set of apps (settings, calculator, etc.).
Any ideas on what the issue might be? I've reset the watch a number of times, uninstalled and reinstalled both the Smart Connect and SSW2 apps as well, and as far as I'm aware, I've got the latest firmware on the watch installed too. What am I missing?
I don't know if it is related, but what I'm experiencing is somewhat similar. I use my SW2 for controlling music and a sports app during cycling or running. Endomondo or Runtastic are the sports apps I use, both have SW2 extensions. They appear to work fine when I'm trying it with the phone in front of me, but more often than not when starting my run (with my phone in a small backpack) it seems to have a connection, but neither Endomondo or Runtastic respond to the watch. I feel it might have something to with the power save modes on Android 6, perhaps Doze?
After googling a bit I think I have fixed the issue I had with my sports trackers. In the Battery use settings page you can add apps to the 'not optimized' list. I've added Smart Connect and Smartwatch 2 to this list. Now I seem to be able to interact with both trackers even if my phone is in deep sleep... This has to be tested during actual cycling yet, but it appears to be working.
Nevermind, tried it this weekend with a mountainbike ride and when I wanted to start neither Runtastic or Endomondo responded to the smartwatch... The smartwatch indicated an active connection, but that's it.

Android Auto Funkiness

Anyone else using a Note7 with Android Auto? At first the connection to my car was intermittently dropping and then it was OK. I have Pandora, Slacker, and Play Music installed on my phone and active but the only one that shows up in the car is Play Music. I haven't played with it yet but there's not much to troubleshoot - they're either there or there not. My Note5 was 100% perfect with Android Auto so it's definitely something on the Note7 side.
No issues so far but I also don't use those two programs. Perhaps uninstall and reinstall those two programs in the meanwhile?

HTC 10 user here, and have the same issues as you.
I stabilized the BT connection by deleting the pairing on my radio and phone, then plugging in the USB C cable and allowing the car to autopair them together.
I have Play Music and Amazon Prime Music installed, both supporting Android Auto. However only Play Music shows up for me. This was the case on my S7E as well, but not my Note 5. At this point I suspect it's related to the SD820 and/or devices shipping from the factory with 6.0.1. I've been through factory resets more times than I can count, and the same thing happens.
Apps that are restored (IE - Smart Switch) are not showing up on AA... You can uninstall/reinstall and they will show back up.
I tested this for naught im sure while in the chickfila drive thru....

Oh well, Play Music it is. You can open apps from Recent Apps and Pandora and Slacker play fine through the car when controlled from the phone. But the steering wheel controls don't work. So we can only hope that (in my case) when AT&T pushes an update out in six months it gets fixed. It would be great if the Android Auto app on the phone could be the fix but if the problem's been around since the S7e it's unlikely that alone is the issue.

This is interesting, and I'll have to test this when I get back home tomorrow. From the look of your Hazard button, you have a Sonata like me, and I do restore apps through Google on device setup, or Titanium (app only, no data).
Why yes.... I love my Sonata Limited.
And trolling!

I've got all 3 of these on my phone and all work fine from the start in AA. The only AA issue I've encountered is that when on a call I can't figure out how to get it to show the dialer pad. When on a conf. call I get options like to tap *60 to stop the God awful wait music and to hit # after I announce my name. It's weird. I think it's that AA hasn't had an update in a bit so the dialer from the Note 7 isn't fully recognized. I dunno. But 99% of AA works for me.
BTW. I'm using a Pioneer 8100NEX which I doubt makes a diff as the AA server that the phone app connects to is the same in every car on the market and the head unit itself runs Android 4.4.2 just as my wife's '16 Accord does.

My Note 7 will connect and pandora maps and everything works, the only problem I have is when I am replying to text or whatsapp messages I press the voice button and it only gives about 2 seconds to respond then it stops and it will 90% of the time not even get what I'm saying properly and say something random, i've done complete reinstalls, using factory cable and can't figure out for the life of me how to fix, oh in a 2017 elantra limited

Uninstall Android Auto and delete your Bluetooth pairing. Then make sure Google TTS is set to the default on your phone, if Samsung TTS is trying to interfere, you will have this issue. If you cannot disable Samsung TTS, you may need to use Package Disabler Pro from the Play Store to do it for you. I had to do it on my Note 5, but not the S7 Edge.
Once that is done, reinstall Android Auto and then let the USB connection do the pairing for you.

Since this watch has WIFI , will 3rd party watch faces work on IOS?

I just bought this smartwatch but unfortunately my phone died and had to replace with an iphone and discovered that if you sideload apps and faces you can get almost all of the third party faces from the google play store. But read that since many of these faces neet connectivity (weather, news, etc) they may not work since the iphone doesnt work like that
But since this watch has wifi integrated, i was wondering if they could work on this and many other watches that have the same chip.
Any thoughts? I really want to install watch faces with weather and similar
WiFi is used to sync the watch with the cloud, not for receiving data for the weather etc.
The watch still needs to use phone's connectivity to load such data...
But, well, you can still try, there's Android Wear app for iOS, maybe the sideloaded apps will work anyway.

Yeah i can use it with Android Wear and receive notifications but many of the manuals for sideloading watch faces say that if the watch has wifi you may have that functionality
To be honest, that's the first time I hear about that the watch's WiFi itself may be used to update weather data etc without the use of the phone...
It's worth trying but I already did a simple test and it didn't work for me using stock "Weather" app on the watch and the weather service in Minimal & Elegant watchface. They both require the watch to be connected with the phone.

Samsung watch won't pair

Just got a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 and it won't pair.. I had to manually download the galaxy wearable app from apk mirror when I went to setup my Samsung Gear Sport but that was the only hurdle. Magisk hide isn't helping, manually updated what I can tell are the plug-ins, removed everything to start fresh and still no luck. I think it sees the unlocked bootloader and that's causing this. I would hate to have to go that route to even use the watch. Any suggestions?
Edit: well crap, now my gear sport won't connect. Only difference between initial setup and now is that I'm on Android 10 and had set the sport up on 9. This sucks.
Edit 2: Got it. Samsung Accessory Service app needed to be installed. 3 apps to get it to register, new watch is working now.
