I have this problem after installing a 8.1 stock ROM on my Moto G5S (Montana) XT1792. Does not appear in the band, IMEI is unknown and does not recognize the chip. It is not a hardware problem that was working normally after I performed the stock ROM installation procedure. I have already downgraded, installed a custom ROM and nothing, so for not knowing more or asking XDA members for help. Thanks in advance!
hi @1joule52, find out how to fix it, download this rom, https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/montana/official/RETBR/

You mean no network? Better explanation would be great. Dead means? Nothing working?
are you still can go to fastboot or flashmode?

I'm going to get I ze551ml and I'm definitely going to root it as some apps I use require root.
Just in case something happen, like hardware fault, can I return to stock firmware stock recovery and locked bootloader without any trace of being rooted before and get warranty?

The fact that you can't lock the bootloader again is the reason why I haven't unlocked my phone yet.
You can still root the phone without unlocking the bootloader.
news?
Still no.
I believe that locking it won't be possible until Asus releases an official bootloader unlocker.

I have a few questions:
Which tool should i use to flash the raw firmware, Asus flash tool or intel phone flash tool? Other?
What do i get afterflashing the 550 raw, bootloader(fastboot)? recovery? both?
Later i am supposed to flash the 551 zip via adb sideload from recovery? Or the system.img and boot.img via fastboot? Or what?
Do you remember the username of anybody who tested and succeed?
I'm a little bit confused.
Thank you again.

Almost fully working phone. Wrong DPI-like image on screen. May be you must flash splashscreen from 551 manually if you lost recovery. Wrong phone model in settings menu.

I can't answer your all your question since I haven't tried the software personally. Try ask to help from the people around these threads, probably they can find a way to solve your problem.
I'm still new to these unlock bootloader, custom rom thing; I'm sorry I was'nt able to help you.
My mobile:
ZF2 ZE551ML 2GB [ROOTED] [BT UNLOCKED]
bear with me!!!!!!!!
I had Hard Bricked my phone previously
[xFSTK Method] i flashed the .RAW file to recover it
After fewdays
I flashed TWRP
but when i try to open recovery it again boots to bootloader
i researched a lot and found that BT must be unlocked (i already unlocked though)
Then i again unlocked BT.. Im Successful in flashing
So,
Do i relocked the bootloader using the .RAW file??
can i able to relock it if i do the same(flash .RAW file)??
Did the black splash screen come back after you flashed the RAW image?

Yes, already tried but even device manager shows reaction. In any PC.
So I recently rooted my s9 using the root method seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3IppGISkP0. I was able to successfully root the phone although there was an issue with the phone freezing I was able to fix it by using a custom kernel. Now everything works just fine except the camera. Every time I open the camera app it says "Camera Failed." Ive tried installing roms but it still fails. The only way I can get the camera to work again is to reinstall the stock firmware through odin which gets rid of root. Essentially I am unable to use the camera if I root. Does anyone have this issue and if so is there any solution?
