Hi,
I have issues connecting my Galaxy Watch Active 2 to my new OnePlus 7T.
The initial setup and connection works flawlessly but after longer periods with no connection (I switch of bluetooth over night) the phone does not reestablish the connection with the watch.
Even if I open the Samsung companion app on the phone and try to manually connect I get an error message "Couldn't connect to watch..."
Toggling bluetooth has no effect, neither has a phone reboot.
With my Oneplus 6T everything worked like a charm so I don't expect the issue with the watch but rather with the phone.
Any ideas on this?
HI,
It seems your Galaxy Watch refuse to reestablish the connection.
Maybe the watch has connected to another phone. Have you paired it with another phone ?

My SW3 is connected to my phone as evidenced by Android Wear saying so and no disconnected icon on the watch face. However, when I go into Settings->Bluetooth Devices the watch says it's disconnected from my phone. This condition persists whether WiFi is on our off.
Anybody else observe this?

Yes, i have observed exactly the same. I'm using non rooted LG G3 with Marshmallow. Not yet found out what is going on, as i have just started my smartwatch experience.
Btw. i have also noticed that it's not automatically connecting to wifi when the bluetooth connection drops. I have to go to settings and enter wifi settings to start scanning and connecting to network.
I have been experiencing an issue with my Pixel 2 XL. I just got the phone this week. I am on the latest Oreo 8.1 with February security patch. My phone is able to detect all other wifi around and mobile hotspot that i am setting with another phone easily but not my pocket wifi which is the one i have and using. My previous phone was an iPhone X and it had no issue detecting it. Although, once it's connected, it will stay connected but once i turned off the the wifi on my phone then turn it back on again, it will be so hard to be able to connect again since it is not recognizing it and not reconnecting to it automatically. It's like it will never happen again despite already being in the "Saved Networks". I have tried rebooting my phone. I have tried resetting the connectivity settings on my phone. I have tried factory resetting my phone which erases all data and setting up from scratch. I have tried to reboot the pocket wifi. I have tried to factory reset the pocket wifi. I have tried to use another pocket wifi. The issue is still there. The phone cannot detect the wifi easily like all other wifi that it does. I need to resolve this issue as the one that it hardly detects was my own pocket wifi which i am using everyday. All other phone can connect to it except my Pixel 2 XL. Unfortunately, I do not know anyone around with a Pixel 2/2 XL to check if the issue will also happen in their device.
Weird workaround: connecting to a mobile hotspot results in my phone detecting the pocket wifi and being visible for me to connect to it but without connecting first to a mobile hotspot, it hardly detects the pocket wifi.
same my problem
Hi folks,
I've got my Xiaomi Mi 9 SE (Global Version) two weeks ago, and I'm very happy with it. There is only one problem:
I can't share my Data Connection via Bluetooth! ..
Neither with my car and its bluetooth speakerphone, nor with my Smartwatch, I can't get managed to share the connection.
So the Bluetooth connection itself is up and running without any problems! Only the data connection is not shared. The car shows me no signal (general network), and the SmartWatch does not get a connection to the Internet.
I looked up the Tutorial here in the old en.miui-Thread but I don't get the "Enable Internet Access"-Button in the paired Device Menu (part#6/7 in the Tutorial). I've activated the Bluetooth Tethering mentioned in part#5..
Is there any other way to share my Smartphone Connection via Bluetooth to paired Devices?
I've re-paired the devices multiple times. I also have done a factory Reset with Phone and SmartWatch. The problem occured with original Global Rom, and still occures with latest xiaomi.EU Rom.
Hope you can help me..
Best Regards
Some news: Occasionally it works. Sometimes I can access the Internet with my Smartwatch, which is connected to my smartphone via Bluetooth. But really rather rarely. And even without me changing anything. I don't even touch the smartphone yet, and suddenly I have Internet access on the Smartwatch, 2 minutes later but then again no more. Damn weird.
EDIT: Solved it! You have to set every Priority for the Wear OS Notifications in the App Manager to "High" and allow everything for this App.. Now I have continous Data Connection via my SmartWatch, Problems are gone
I seem to have trouble since today with the remote connection through lte or wifi to my phone since today. When I'm away from my phone it should switch to lte connection (which is working, verified it with samsung browser on the watch) and then say remotely connected. But it stays on standalone since today. Used to work perfectly for months... restarted both watch and phone but still not working. Also I can't activate 'reactivation lock' or set automatically backup on the watch. Seems to be a problem with samsung cloud service?
Anybody else with lte model experiencing trouble with the remote connection?
Yep, mine only works at the same time I've disabled battery optimization and removed automatic management of the "Samsung Accessory Services" app
That's all
I got my S22 a couple of days ago. Previously, I had a Pixel 5. I bought a Motorola MA1 dongle to use Wireless AA on my car. It worked perfectly with my Pixel 5.
I setup my S22, and while it does connect to the dongle and recognize it as Wireless AA and all, it drops the WiFi connection after a few seconds with a "WiFi Disconnected" toast message near the lower part of the screen. It then repeats the process indefinitely: Connects to the dongle's WiFi, stays for about 5 seconds, drops with WiFi Disconnected message, reconnects to the WiFi...
At first I thought it might be realizing the WiFi connection does not provide any internet, which is right, and switches to mobile due to the "Switch to mobile" option. So I turned that off. Still, same message and no connection.
I've tried setting it up several times but it's always the same error. FYI it works correctly with USB-C wire.
Anyone got any ideas how I could solve this? Maybe some kind of developer network setting to hold on to the WiFi connection a bit longer or something?
Thanks!
Factory reset the MA1. I had a similar issue after migrating from the S10 to the S22 that was only cleared up by resetting the dongle. I'm thinking it's more of an MA1 issue than an S22 issue.

Click to collapse
That's through the process of holding the side button for 45 seconds, right? Sadly, I've already done it. No luck...
Solved! Following a reddit comment advice, I factory reset Mazda's infotainment system, as well as the MA1 dongle, and deleted both Mazda's and the MA1 pairings in bluetooth on the cellphone .
Then, did the whole setup again. Error persisted. Connected via wired and was able to establish wired AA connection. Disconnected and tried the dongle again. IT WORKED!
Thanks Tacoo (As a Mexican, I like your username) for your assistance!
