I have this problem after installing the stock ROM 8.1 on my Moto G5S (Montana) XT1792. The bandbase does not appear, unknown IMEI and does not recognize the chip. Not to be a hardware problem as it was working normally after I did the stock ROM installation procedure. I've already downgraded, I've installed a custom ROM and nothing, so for not knowing what else to do, I'm asking XDA members for help. Thanks in advance!

Hi Piztache,
Did you manage to install the FW? is it working fine for you? I thinking to do the same with my moto.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hola Piztache,

I have the last Fullflash with the January Patch. I flash in my VIVO via fastboot and it worked normally without the need to have the bootloader unlocked.

First unzip, then try the .xml files in rsd. The flashfile.xml is for resetting and will wipe your data, the servicefile.xml is for upgrading and should leave your data intact.

The rsd closes as soon as it enters fastboot mode and does nothing. The steps listed by adamantem are correct? Or it could be done only with the command "fastboot flash all? Tks

I answered myself. The steps listed adamantem are fine.
I put the rom without problems by fastboot. Thanks for contributing.:good:
My baseband is <not found> on the fastboot screen and i have no signal or wifi. i was hoping the firmware would correct this, but it didnt. I couldnt use RSD so i did fastboot flash one step at a time,
Any other ideas?
Couldnt get RSD to recognize device and ive read that RSD doesnt play nice with Windows 10

I'm thinking my IMEI was somewhere there and then when i used that it got deleted...
The funny thing is, i know my IMEI is gone, but why in the world does my phone still has LTE reception and i can make calls and everything like normal? My carrier is Mint Sim and the model is XT1635-02 TYPE MID64
Does it means my IMEI is still somewhere? If so, how can i retrieve it?
EDIT: Guide i followed
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z-play/how-to/guide-one-touch-one-rom-relock-t3744196
Because some carriers do not care about IMEI, only IMSI on the SIM. IMEI is identifying phone, IMSI your subscription.

Also the IMEI i can see when i use fastboot getvar IMEI, so its obviously there somewhere.
Try to reflash with RSD lite to latest nougat rom.
iff you do manage to get back to stocl for future refrence there is a tool on this forum somewhere which can backup up the efs partition to your sd card in case you have this problem again.
Same problem here... Dunno what to do...
Just as downgrading from N to MM causes problems, I expect we will see problems in any downgrade from a soak or OTA Oreo downgrade to N. Basically don't do it.

It's probably due to downgrading, have you tried reflashing current stock? 9.0

I'm almost out of ideas, if this doesn't work you'll need newer firmware or an update
Adb shell
Chmod 0000 /persist/rfs/msm/mpss/datablock/id_00
Reboot the phone back into fastboot.
Now flash each command
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Now reboot your phone.

solucion
Buenas noches, tengo el moto g8 play, trate de instalar un firmware mas atrazado, olvide desblquear el oem, al momento de dejarlo trabado se quedo con este frirmware
BUILD INFORMATION
SW Version: lima_32-user 9 PMDS29.70-81-3 a383d release-keys
MBM Version: MBM-2.1-lima_32_retail-210600d2e-200502
Modem Version: MT6771_V16.03.01.90R
SW Display Build ID: PMDS29.70-81-3
CQA Version: 6.0.4
Build Fingerprint: motorola/lima_32/lima:9/PMDS29.70-81-3/a383d:user/release-keys
Blur Version: Blur_Version.29.201.5.lima_32.retail.en.US
Motorola G8 XT2015-2 Play No Bootable A/B Sloot Solucion
I find myself in the same situation. I tried to reinstall firmware to repair severe lag and now I'm in a boot loop. My firmware was PMDS29.70-85-3 for a g8 play LATAM. I can get to fastboot, but that's as far as I get. Can anyone provide me with link to the correct flash? Thanks, PC

Question How to flash Realme 8 5G (RMX3241?)

Hi, please bare with me, haven't posted on here in years.
I would like to flash the phone wiping all the partitions and rebuilding it entirely, as if it were new. The phone is not currently bricked.
My bootloader is unlocked (can lock if needed).
Everything I tried, and miserably failed so far.
Realme flash tool. Central directory not found.
Next, I tried italorecife/OppoRealme-OFP-Flash, which, in short, failed to extract the OFP file.
I tried both OFP's located in both the Indian and Global packages, them being 11a26 RMX3241, (can paste exact file names if needed).
Since all that failed, I tried to extract the OFP, (that worked) and I tried a good old fastboot flash -all. That told me my device does not support slots?
To eliminate driver issues etc, I even tried fastboot flash -all on a macbook via terminal, USBC to USBC only to be presented with the same error...
What am I missing please? Would be happy to provide further information where necessary.
Am willing to use regular fastboot commands, but I'm confused on the multiple part IMG files. Would also be happy to do TWRP, but I don't know if that natively supports installing realme zip files, and or OFP files? Any clarification there would be appreciated.
Many thanks for any pointers!
Hlo I am happy to share that I have found a way to fix hardbrick and softbrick of realme 8 5g.
