Error Baseband moto z play

hi, i have a big problem with my device, few day ago i installed twrp and root but then i needed to restore, for mistake did a wipe advance and root again and my devices bootloop, i did restore with the firmware stock but the version baseband show me something different, must be m8953_10208.08.04.47R but have m8953_10208.08.04.47e and my imei show "0".
i try flash with other firmware but all version baseband finish with the letter "e", i can´t call or send messages
i hope somebody can help me: (

yes, i do but with all firmware show me the letter "e" 42R - 42e

Same error....
i just reflash firmware via RSD, when boot finished, it has no signal, imei shows 0 and the baseband replace the "R" letter with an "e" letter.
Before reflash firmware, i've make a backup of the EFS partition via TWRP. So i restore the backup, the devices boots with signal, shows IMEI but the baseband it's the same with letter "e"
Hardware info don't show the correct version. it shows "\x\x\x\x"
If erase the modemst1 and modemst2 via fastboot or when i reflash via RSD, it shows IMEI 0 again :crying:

I'm having the same problem but I didn't made a backup of the EFS.
My hardware info shows version "\x\x\x\x", same problem with the IMEI and baseband: M8953_1028.08.04.47e
Anyone was able to solve this problem? I'm looking for a solution for about 3 days now.
This all happened when I flashed a LATAM rom, booted with no singal, now I found my version (RETBR) and even flashing it I still boot with no signal.

I'm also having this issue due to willy-nilly flashing. I know what my IMEIs are supposed to be since they're written on the box, but I'm not sure how to get them into the phone again.

I've got addison_row_cust. Any idea where I can find stock firmware so I can take the recent update? Bought the phone off Swappa and it came with TWRP with no backups :S

This version NPP25.137-33 was released in Brazil, where there is the model XT1672 Dual Sim. If you install this version in the model XT1670 Latin America Single sim, I will not have problems in the IMEI?

Thankyou, now work! just remember to overwrite original fsg.mbn with the cinese one, instead the NON-HLOS file must be the original inclueded in the release (DO NOT change elsewhere wifi will not work)

I have no Wi-Fi also, so just flash the FSG file from the Chinese version (which?) and keep everything the same?

Again to all without wifi on boot... I've run into this issue many times.
You have to flash modem commands multiple times for it to flash properly. See my previous post.

I'm guessing the problem was that it says

I'm thinking my IMEI was somewhere there and then when i used that it got deleted...
The funny thing is, i know my IMEI is gone, but why in the world does my phone still has LTE reception and i can make calls and everything like normal? My carrier is Mint Sim and the model is XT1635-02 TYPE MID64
Does it means my IMEI is still somewhere? If so, how can i retrieve it?

Because some carriers do not care about IMEI, only IMSI on the SIM. IMEI is identifying phone, IMSI your subscription.

Also the IMEI i can see when i use fastboot getvar IMEI, so its obviously there somewhere.

Try to reflash with RSD lite to latest nougat rom.

iff you do manage to get back to stocl for future refrence there is a tool on this forum somewhere which can backup up the efs partition to your sd card in case you have this problem again.

Just as downgrading from N to MM causes problems, I expect we will see problems in any downgrade from a soak or OTA Oreo downgrade to N. Basically don't do it.

if you ever played with your persist, its not fixing those persist who flashed other device persist to gain IMEI and VoLTE, safe for those who never played with their persist and for those who are having baseband with ending with capital R. Direct flashing via fastboot ending with no signals and also not imei if dont skip erase modemst1

Guide for those who are not on their own persist but with another persist able to use Signals with volte and using any custom or nougat or twrp rom
first take backup of your current working efs and persist on sd card or otg
Thn flash above rom via fastboot, dont skip anything, reboot system thn again go in fastboot menu

everything working fine CAMERA, VOLTE, WIFI, FINGERPRINT, locked bootloader and unlocked also again with my key tht provided by moto, battery also charging faster, battery backup is also good.

Hey, will this work for hard bricked users? I've been using twrp flashable nougat stock ROMs since last year! Can't get back to full stock so!

Radio will work if your Persist is intact, and you never flashed others persist to gain imei and volte otherwise there are no signal. I have tried all the methods but stll working on it, let see...hope.

I have tried something different I was able to gain network with volte but signals are not stable they coming and going, anyways it will take time, nothing is impossible here, I am also one from those who messed up thier Persist, and I am working on it.

help me out with an issue about retail or my software channel is retin should this version is good for me to install my build number is NPNS25.137-92-14 and I already got OTA update but my persists is not mine what should I do

I got some errors while sending these two commands, device is working regardless of these errors.
Which are these command and whats they do? Also what issues I might be facing on future because of this?
Commands -
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo

These commands are not nessecery, ignore them and proceed. These commands will not affect any future ota or update.

Bro you need to avoid this to flash, right now there is not any solution for those who are not on their persist, you will end up with no signals. So wait, I am still working on it.

We already have that from beta. The latest beta was same as official release.

After upgrading to oreo, download the Oreo flashable zip (Aroma) of SOAK1 and install only the firmware. And restore your efs after this step.
My phone is working perfectly with this, no network issues.

There are also many hidden issues after this method, wifi is getting slow while Bluetooth is active, if Bluetooth inactive thn also there are frequent wifi disconnection. Fingerprint also getting so slow while screen is off, I already tested it.

Hey I also got that errors after few time my device got hard bricked.

These commands are not responsible for hard bricks, may be there are another reason for hard bricks.

Asking again...
Will this work for hard bricked users? I've been using twrp flashable nougat stock ROMs since last year! Can't get back to full stock so!

First post your fastboot getvar here, then tell me what is the condition of your persist, imei, volte etc. Also from fatboot menu take a pic and post them also, and describe how you recovered your hard bricked device, then we can explain you. Thanks.

but I got the OTA update on my phone to download and I did that but I am the little bit afraid to install it just because of VOLTE and IMEI
