I have a TMo galaxy s3. It is running 4.3 firmware. My wifi calling does not allow me to make calls although sometimes I can call my voice mail using wifi calling.
I can however receive calls and texts as well as send texts via wifi calling.
Cellular based calls work fine.
TMO seems to think the phone is defective, this phone is a replacement I just got and they are sending me a new one.
If the new phone experiences the same problem I am going to need some advice to fix it. I must use wifi calling in my house, tmo coverage here is terrible.
As it is, overall, I had nothing but problems with WiFi Calling over Stable Wireless. So I had given up on that. If you really have signal issues, then please see if your Router is capable of prioritizing your phone's traffic over other devices.

Thanks for the response.
Wifi calling works fine on my G2 with no issues at all.
It works fine on this S3 except for the whole making calls thing. It just instantly ends the call the second the call connects.
In that case follow part 2 of my last post.
My WiFi Calling has never worked properly, and attempts to get support from Sprint have only ended in frustration. It works fine on incoming calls, but almost always (its worked once or twice) within 10 seconds of initiating an outgoing call the call is disconnected and my WiFi Calling is disabled for about 30-50 seconds, after that WiFi Calling turns back on. I assume that something is causing me to be disconnected from the WiFi Calling server. Sprint can't even tell me who runs the server if its them or a third party). They have told me it was related to my geographic location, but I've demonstrated it having the same behavior in multiple Sprint stores on their Wifi networks. The latest is that they are telling me to upgrade to Lollipop (which I haven't tried yet). Can anyone enlighten me or anything?
I've noticed that wifi calling is flaky. Sometimes it doesn't work, most of the time it does. Sprint support was able to help me fix it one time. If you've tried to go into Sprint stores for help and called Sprint support, maybe turn it off and wait a week or so and then turn it back on....i know it sounds like a crappy answer but that's what I had to do.

I appreciate the answer, however this problem has been going on for months and it has not been "flaky" for me. All incoming calls work. All outgoing calls (with two exceptions) have been experienced what I previously described. This has been going on for many months. This problem isn't going to fix itself. Now, Sprint claims that the Lollipop release includes "enhancements" to WiFi Calling, so perhaps that might fix something. I doubt it though.
If I switch on wifi calling on Tmobile, caller cannot hear any dial tone/ringtone when they call me but my phone will ring as normal. One thing I noticed is that the caller is calling on a landline. I called Google support and they are not aware of this issue and send me a replacement phone. I have the same problem with the replacement phone. Does anyone have the same issue? Any idea on how to resolve this?
i been having it the other way around..
i am on verizon google pixel xl , and when i been calling lately, no dial tone.. but other person answers .. .
im rooted, and unlocked..
other day my dial screen had scrambled lettters too . .

I am having the same problem on my new Pixel XL with WiFi calling on my end. I didn't have this issue on my Nexus 6 or 6P, so something is going on. I'm following this for a resolution.
EDIT: Yesterday my brother called me from his Verizon mobile phone and didn't hear it ring on his end, so it doesn't seem to be a landline only issue.
I'm bumping this up as it's still happening on my stock rooted Pixel XL with the January NMF26U update, and I haven't found any resolution anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem and found the solution? It sucks that I can't use WiFi calling because of this issue.

I dont think it's the phone, or at least not just this phone. I had the same thing with other devices using Wifi Calling.

Agreed, although as I said in my first post, this didn't happen on my Nexus 6 or 6P. I have the same ISP and the same T-Mobile Personal Cellspot/WiFi Cellspot Router that I had with the other phones. I see that you are on T-Mobile as well, and most of the complaints I find online are also T-Mobile customers with various phones.
Has anyone figured out a solution?
I'm currently on T-Mobile and I have the same issue. I thought it was on a landline at first, but tried with a co-workers phone (Sprint) and it doesn't ring on his end but on mine it does.
Called my phone using my wife's phone, Pixel as well using T-Mobile and hers rings.
Kind of weird.

I'm out of town until next week so I can't install the 7.1.2 beta yet. I have seen talk of VOLTE improvements with it, so maybe it will help this issue too.

Hopefully it works.
Just missed 10 calls from my boss. He said there was no ringtone and it wouldn't go to voicemail.
I mentioned before that it did go to voicemail even after not sounding but now this is ridiculous.
Some people with T-Mobile have the issues and others don't. Might have to call T-Mobile.
Checked all the settings in that "special" menu and everything's provisioned.

I have this problem. Person calling me hears no ringing, just dead silence. Often they will hang up and call again because they think something's wrong (I mean there is...but so annoying lol). I haven't called T-Mobile yet. Never had this problem on my 6P. Only the Pixel.
Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet? I'm afraid to switch back to WiFi calling until it is, as I can't afford to be missing calls because people don't hear the ring on their end.
Have you guys filed a ticket with Google and T-mobile about this? I sent feedback through the Settings->Phone status way. It's definitely still happening on my Pixel XL with stock 7.1.1.
This is also happening to me. I'm with T-Mobile on their Prepaid Legacy plan. Brand new unlocked Moto 5g Plus.
Any incoming wifi calls and the caller gets silence and never sent to VM. On my end everything seems fine, I hear it ring and once I answer the connection is great. My old Galaxy has wifi calling and worked with no problem.
I've done a factory reset and gone through about every setting three times over. I pretty much bought the phone specifically for wifi calling since I live in the sticks and now can't even turn it on without missing calls.

Others have said that the June security update fixed it. After flashing that, I turned on WiFi calling again and it works for me now on my Pixel XL. If you haven't installed it yet, you should anyway.
Does anyone have wifi calling working? I switched about a month ago to Project Fi as AT&T did not allow wifi calling on my 2XL. Where I live cell service is almost non existent, so having wifi calling is a huge plus for me. However, the last few times I have tried to make a call it tells me the call cannot be completed. I have checked the settings and wifi calling is enabled, one thing I don't see (maybe not even on the 2XL) is the little + icon next to the wifi when wifi calling is available. On a previous phone if wifi calling was enabled, that little plus symbol was there to show it as active.
Anyone else having issues? Was not working on P DP4 and also not working on P DP5. Going to contact Fi if I cannot figure it out, but wanted to check here first.
Thanks.
on DP5 now.
I do not use Fi as primary number (AT&T is primary), but Fi is backup.
At times when I re-activate it takes a few minutes for wi-fi calling to work.
I generally turn on airplane mode, then turn on wi-fi, as at home I have strong cell signal so it usually goes over cell, but test wi-fi every so often.
It initially failed (as I just activated, told me to turn off airplane) but after the 2nd attempt it works again as expected.
It has been like that throughout the dev previews for me, though, Im not sure if they are to blame, its been quite awhile since I tried on O, so I dont recall any issue.
Wifi calling works fine on T-Mobile in the states
Found another thread saying that Hangouts needed to be installed for wifi calling to work, sure enough it worked when installing hangouts.
Just uninstalled it again though, set to airplane mode, activate WiFi, calling works. Weird. Will just leave it on airplane mode while home. Wonder if I can set something up in Tasker to enable airplane mode when connected to my home WiFi.
Weird, today tried to make a call and it failed again. Even with airplane mode active and WiFi activated. Installed Hangouts again and the calling works right away, I hate having to have an app installed just to use a basic function but oh well.

interesting. I had previously had hangouts and hangouts dialer installed (yesterday when I replied to you) uninstalled them today, re-activated Fi, turned on airplane mode, turned on wi-fi and call went straight thru.
Not sure what to make of it though, and I know it doesn't help you, just reporting.
Tried to make a call just now, Hangouts installed, did not go through. Disabled cellular data and the call went through fine. Going to play around some more with Hangouts uninstalled, wifi on, cell data off etc. and see if I can get it reliably working.
Anyone know if WiFi calling works on Verizon. I have unlocked Google certain if phone on Verizon service running Resurrection rom.

Yes, I am on Verizon and WiFi Calling works. I have a delay at the start of a call but it switches to WiFi just fine.

How did you get it working? Are you running a custom rom or stock? Do you have the Google version or Verizon version of the phone? Did you get a WiFi activation screen when you first turned on the wifi?

Been using Project Fi for around 10 months now. Switched to it because no cell provider could produce a reliable signal where I work so I needed the WiFi calling and it has worked almost perfectly for me. I would contact Project Fi support if I were you. On DP5 right now.

I am on a Verizon version Pixel 2 XL, so no root and pure stock. I just went to Settings>Network&internet>Mobile network>Advanced>Wi-Fi Calling and enabled it. I think maybe the first time I enabled it, it popped up a Enabling Wi-Fi Calling or something but that was it.

Verizon says it should work but it doesn't. I can go thru the same steps you mentioned but it wont actually connect.I also cant get google voicemail working...it keeps trying to use verizon's voicemail.
Wifi calling quit working again, anyone else have this problem? Fi support don't seem to have any clue, going through various settings that all seem to be making no difference whatsoever. If I try to make a call it just says "Cellular network not available" and the call fails.
Turning on Airplane mode and then Wifi - gives an error of "To make a call turn off airplane mode"
Hangouts, Google Connectivity Services, Carrier Services, and Google Play Services are all installed, enabled and with unrestricted data usage set to enabled.
Configure IMS calling is enabled
Wondering if I should disable and then re-enable the Google Fi carrier to see if that does anything.
Cell signal here is awful, which is why reliable wifi calling is so important.
Worked for a couple weeks, now back to the same old "Cellular network not available"
Bloody maddening.
Pixel 2 XL on Pie, UK network EE. Never had an issue with it, works flawlessly. I don't have to do anything like aeroplane mode. When I'm connected to Wifi it shows I'm using WiFi calling in pull down notifications and on-call screens. All I did was enable the feature, so on that basis, I would say it's not the feature and more likely the service/wifi being used.
Is wifi calling working for anyone on pro or regular P6? For myself, and quite a few others in some reddit threads it is not.
I've checked all my settings, and they all appear to be correct. But when I try to make a wifi call, I keep getting told that the network is not available. I'm able to browse the net over wifi on the phone w/out any problems. I'm also able to use google voice to make a call over wifi, but not the regular phone app.
I'm on GoogleFI with the FI variant of the phone -- have contacted support and was told the issue has been escalated. Has anyone run into a similar issue on the P6/P and found any fixes?
I got an unlocked pro and wifi calling is working for me on AT&T
WiFi calling working on Verizon with unlocked Pro for me.
Guess I should make this more specific -- I have the FI variant, on GoogleFI. It appears that everyone else who is also having this issue is also on FI
Wifi calling works great on TMobile with unlocked Google variant.
I'm on Google Fi, bought mine unlocked from Google Store. I have one spam call answered by Call Screen on WiFi.
EDIT: Just placed a call to a movie theater and it used WiFi.
Guess I'll pickup a normal unlocked one from BB and see if that works any better. Have basically 0 reception at home, so wifi calling is a must.
6 & 6 Pro both working with Wi-Fi Calling here (UK BT Mobile)
Sounds like an issue with Google fi.
Working flawlessly here on ee-gb
6 & 6p WiFi calling fully functional (UK EE)
Unlocked 6P on Verizon Wifi calling 100% fine.
No issues with WiFi calling for me on the Google Fi on P6P.
It works for me but not on every wifi network. When I'm at home I never see the wifi calling in the top left but when I'm at work I see wifi calling in the top left.
