I have that on mine as well.
If you long press on the home screen and go into your widget selections, there is a system widget that can power off the screen. I'm guessing it needs administration privileges to be able to do that???

I think that widget is independent of the administrator query I mentioned. Since holding my home screen down doesn't show that option like yours. Either way there was, is a widget for screen lock that I activated , it locks the screen regardless of the administrator option being active or not.

I believe widgetlocker will do that for you.
I will give that a try thanks! I looked all the forms for a mod, it would better than an extra app sitting my app drawer.

Not for the lock screen it doesn't, only the home screen!

Changing wallpaper

I'm trying to change my wallpaper but can't seem to get anything to set right in quick pic. When I select set as wallpaper, it brings me to the edit screen with the only option is to save. It doesn't allow me to change the wallpaper, just make small crops. Anyone else run into this issue, or know of a better way to crop and set wallpapers?

Long press on your home screen, click wallpaper, click quickpic wallpaper, select your photo, crop it, hit save. Boom.

That helps with the home screen, but what about the lock screen?

I think that is in settings under display

Safe Mode

I rebooted my phone today, and when it came back up, I had Safe Mode displayed at the bottom of the screen. Also I was missing most of my installed apps. The few installed apps that were still there had a faded look to them.
Below is a screenshot of what I saw. I'm just wondering how do you enter safe mode? I just never seen this, and never heard of this before as well. I've only seen this on a Windows pc's.

Thanks for that, the thing is my phone wasn't turned off. I just pressed the power button till the Device Options menu came up, and just chose restart from there. Though good to know now.

Unable to return to home screen

Hi
This is a minor irritation, but if anyone has any insight, I would be most appreciative.
Rooted Sprint Note 4 (N910-P) , 6.0.1 , Nova Launcher (paid).
Used to be, wherever I was on my multiple screens, if I pushed the "home" button on the phone, I would return to the home screen. Now, if I press it, I simply get the screen of the moment. I can't recall having done anything to change things, but I suspect it has something to do with the launcher, in which I perhaps simply can't see a check box for "return to home screen". Any suggestions? I KNOW there must be an incredibly simple answer
Thanks
Try this. It's one of my favorite things about Nova. Goes to default home on first press, screen lock on second press.

But you have plenty of other options too.

Anyone know what these markings are?

Everytime I go to my launcher these pop up for a couple of seconds then disappear. Curious what they actually are as I've never noticed then up until recently after updating and doing a factory reset.

You are using a kind of layer on top of the default launcher (kind of like KWGT walpaper) uses to create interactive objects on the main screen, and those are remnants of the default placeholders for Phone and messages or whatever the defaults you had set on your phone.
Those are the Google assistant triggers indication, as you've mentioned, they'll disappear after a while
