Deciding between Spigen Liquid Air or Rhinoshield Solid suit case for my new Note10+
Currently rocking the clear case that came with the phone, but that's just a temporary measure as im not a fan of clear cases as they turn yellow so easily.
I want something minimal that will not add too much bulk as the phone is already HUGE lol but want something that will offer some drop protection, and those two cases seem to do it. However I want know from other Note10+ users out there which one is good, or if there are any other recommendations that match my criteria
I did a you tube review which msy help you

I currently have a wallet case , and the samsung blue flip cover case.
Problem is neither do much against drops. This phone has proven to be fearless as it constantly takes dives from out of my hands.
But I have never used a protective cover before so need a recommendation.
1. Must be compatible with screen protectors. Some seem so tight they'll peel off my screen protection.
2. Must be easy to remove. Ill want to remove it for when Im socializing or swapping cards/spare battery etc.
After that I really dont care about style. Just maximum drop protection.
Amazon availability preferred.
I had an Otter Box commuter for one of my prior phones. It worked well with it's screen protector. Don't know how well it works on the S3. Based on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4NqvG00vlY I decided to give the DBA Ultra a try. Amazon has them. Mine arrives on Monday and I'll post back my impressions.
So I've been reading the forums and came across phone skins for the first time. I gotta say, I really like XGear's Brushed Alum. considering their price compared to DBrand. (Not a fan of SlickWraps but I've seen those too). Since I've dropped my Nexus 5 a few times on the sidewalk, there's a few noticeable dinges on the battery door so I figured I'd buy a skin to put on it to cover it up. I just want some recommendations as to what case should I get to be able to show off the skin (obviously) but still provide some decent protection on my phone? I'm usually really careful but when I drop my phone... I DROP my phone.
I know Spigen has a clear case but I'm not sure how protective it is and plus I don't really like the buttons covered up. Thanks !
I wasn't sure about the spigen either, but I wound up happy with it. It gives me the impression if decent protection without much bulk, and the buttons are very easy to operate. Plus it shows off the skin well, of course.

What's the best case so far for the Verizon Note 4? I heard there were some problems with the Spigen cases so I am trying to choose wisely. This device seems super fragile and I'm in need of a case pronto. Also if you have any ideas of good screen protectors let me know as well.
I have two spigen cases and no issues here by the way look on YouTube these phone are built like a brick not so fragile
Hello,
Could anyone recommend a great VERY thin (semi-)hard case for the s8+.
As I don't want to make the phone more bulky than it is, I'm really looking for the best thin hard case out there.
I don't want 100% TPU cases, as they do not reflect the wanted quality + they just feel bad in hand.
Ringke fusion I used it on my S6 edge plus and I have it ordered for my S8 plus. It's very slim so it allowed the beauty of the phone come through. It has enough protection for me.

+1. Bear is a perfect case IMHO
There's a slickdeals listing of some cases. Some are bulky others are not, and all are cheap. Take a look and see if any of these are anything you want:

I really wish they would go back and design a case in line with the Gnex Ringke Slim. That was like the pinnacle of their cases imo, it was the perfect case for me.

Aren't you guys worried about dropping your device in these cases? Don't seem like they offer a lot of protection against drops.

nah, I always run a slim case, usually spigen cause I don't like the rignke design. Out of probably 5-6 years of cases like this and many many phones I've broken one and it was a really stupid situation.

I'll get a more protective case for work, but outside of work I like as minimal as possible. I'm really careful with my devices. Never dropped a phone, so hopefully that will continue.
Thanks a ton, all. Great suggestions! I have yet to decide by EoB, as tomorrow my phone will arrive!
Spigen 100%
Liquid Air
extra thin but great protection
or
Rugged armor
slightly bigger but much bigger protection
I hate thick cases, but i also hate cases that are too thin and useless. I have always been happy with Spigen. You should be able to also find them on Amazon.
After a lot of searching and comparing; I have ordered the Spigen Thin Fit case in black for 14.99 eur including shipment costs.
I would have opted for the coral blue color, but could not find it for a fast belgian delivery (by tomorrow). This case seems to cover all my needs:
Raised edges
Ultra thin
Hard case
Decent quality and grip
The design is quite standard.. but OK for now.

Is it me or is this case full of glitter? Look very slim just don't like the glitter on it thanks.

No sure which case you're referring to, but the Spigen Thin Case has no glitter at all.

No glitter at all. I was worried to when I ordered it as well.
Going for Spigen nano fit.. This is probably the thinnest it can get.

However, it is not showing up on the Spigen website
I'm using the spigen thin fit. I like it a lot.

I was thinking more about a simple protective case.. not too into the cover cases
I truly recommend Urban Armor Gear
https://urbanarmorgear.com/products/samsung-galaxy-a5-2017-case
I used one for my S5 and have dropped it numerous times onto concrete over 2.5 years and nothing ever happened to it.
So I got one for my A5 as well. It has already survived a few drops .
A cheap one
I recently bought a Spigen Liquid Air. My phone didn't fall but the case is very cheap and seems to be resistant.
I've trusted Spigen as always. Got the Liquid Air in black option. I really like matte finish on the sides and it's so far the best TPU case I've ever had on smartphone. And it's relatively cheap so...
Recommend verus high pro shield
Neon flip cover is very bad. Dont use this case.
Spigen Liquid Air in black option - solid standard with nice matte finish on the sides. I really can't complain. It is very solid.

I have not used SPIGEN dual-layer case for my A5 (yet); however, I have used SPIGEN dual's, like the one your link points to, for two years on my Nexus 5. It was a fantastic case and saved that phone's life more than once.

There's a chain of stores here in Toronto, Canada that sell a film-based protection. FONELAB. They have a tablet with every known smartphone's dimensions. You present your phone, they look it up in their database then laser cut a special military grade film to you device's exact dimensions and cutouts.. You can choose -- front only, back only or a full wrap. They then chemical clean your surfaces and apply the film using a wet process.
Very neat solution, especially for Edge phones.
This isn't so much for drop protection, though it is better than naked. The film cannot be cut or scratched. If you ever choose to remove it, it peels of WITHOUT an adhesive residue.
depends on what you need / want to use it for
For anyone that wants minimum protection, yet real protection then I also can recommend the Spigen Liquid Air Armor
The reason I say real protection, is that this one unlike many other cases does actually protect your phone also on the front side. It has good raised edges that protect your screen from falls.
I would still put this one in the category of the "regular" cases as it does not add much bulk to it. It is however more bulkier than those other ones that can be found in standard the phone shops. The reason is that most of the standard or cheap cases try to be as thin as possible to make it look good or make using it easier because of the now more curved edges phones have or the swipe menu movements. Resulting in low (al most screen height) and weak edges that cannot protect your screen.
The only thing i like less about this case is the sharp look it has on the design because of the edges, giving it a more square and strong look though.
I have seen another case, which was bought in a phone shop (Vodafone it was I believe), but I can't find this one in (Vodafone) shops locally. It was only in clear color i believe. but it was more rounded, felt slightly better in use but still good enough protection to not call it useless.
Do you believe that a leather wallet case can efficiently protect my A5 2017 from drops?
If OtterBox made a defender Case I would have gone for that but sadly no luck there so after an exhaustive search with not many promising results I ended up going with the UAG case and a glass screen cover designed to fit the curved screen. Altogether i didn't end up having to spend more than $50 and I am quite happy with the results and have dropped it on asphalt and concrete without any damage. I highly recommend the Urban Armor Gear case as the other options out there are purely superficial in regards to protection.

I had that first one... it was alright
honestly I'd get the cheapest clear case from ebay... after rocking a caseless galaxy s7 active I've come to enjoy minimalist designs even if the phone takes a beating from a drop. invest in a solid tampered glass screen protector though
I always buy the "cheapest one" I get (last is made of "leather"), is a flip case and cost around 6€ inclusive shipping - now I own it more than a year and it still look "good" and after all: it still works!
I bought the spigen liquid air is ****ing perfect
