I'm looking for silicon or rubber case to give some protection in case the device drops etc. Something that covers everything but the screen, as I have my own screen overlay installed. Should be easy to put on when leaving the house or when kids use the device and then taken off when using the device at home.
Any suggestions? Gumdrop is one I've seen, but it has the front cover too and I'm not sure how well it works without it. Also it seems to not be very fast to take on and off.
This is maybe the best option I've found so far: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Slim-Soft-C...181962?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a6afeba8a
It's a bit pricey for what it is though. But I will order one if I can't find anything better.
you can buy silicone case for samsung tab.
We have some.

Another highly rated silicon case with no integrated screen protector.
I'm looking to get a case for my SGS2, i picked it up locally on CL a few weeks ago and the film that was on the back cover is starting to get messed up, figure I should just get a case.
Anyhow, i'm looking for a case that is easy going in and out of the pocket (a must, its why i have left the film on it, nice and easy out of the pocket), dot need or care about kickstand, and looking to get it on amazon, been looking at all the cases i could find on amazon and came up with two that i think fit the bill, any one have experience with them?

and
- http://www.amazon.com/Fishbone-Cove...=wireless&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1332714551&sr=1-5
was also looking at skins as well, just for the extra bit of protection, which of these would be best?

The Aegis case is great (not sure about the Fishbone one though), can't really go wrong.
I would probably go with this one;
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-CSK3SS..._1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1332720616&sr=1-3
As for skins, don't bother with full skin. If you want a screen protector, Invisishield is excellent, my brother has it on his International S2 and it's very clear and nice, he loves it.
Personally I don't use a screen protector on mine, no issues with scratches whatsoever, not even fine scratches.
Yeah, if you want a good screen/case combo, can't go wrong with Aegis or my preference the Seidio case and invisishield screen protector.
i know when i had the Seido Activ case for my Nexus S it was a bit "grippy" and pulled my pocket out when brining the phone out (slight annoyance), is that one the same?
Having the film is more for the back/sides protection, i saw some threads about how some cases can scratch it up.

For the skin, I would recommend a Ghost Armor one. I just got mine and I'm in love with it. You can barely notice the screen protector is on it, and it works great. Also the texture of the carbon fiber feels great and will keep your phone looking and feeling just like new.
What about this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Body-Glove-Sa..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1332726722&sr=1-2
It looks great, I brought it and Im a happy customer
i bought this one
http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Hybrid-Silicone-Durable-Kickstand/dp/B0070DGQW6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332729809&sr=8-1
im using the sedio active case with clip. not too bulky and easy goes in and out of pocket.
but if you wear skinny jeans like some of these kids nowadays then go with the thinnest case possible.
ended up getting the fishbone one, will update when it shows up (it was @ the $10 mark which i had a gift card on amazon for that amount)
i didnt care for the fishbone case. i have a black one and i dont like the way it feels and it seems to kinda pick up lint in my pocket. i have one pretty much new just sitting here lol. i like this case the best.

The Best Case Ever
The 3DO impact resistant case that Tmobile sells is the best case for any cell phone I have ever seen. It doesn't hang up on clothing like other gel cases and the 3DO technology is outstanding. You must see this case to believe how great it is. Meanwhile check out the videos here and on YouTube (search 3DO)

In my opinion this case is worth every penny and then some. It feels awesome in the hand, doesn't hang up in a pocket and offers superb impact protection.
Best case for full protection ? FULL! whole phone for my work at factory
which 1 do you recommand me ?

Most likely the Lifeproof case or Otterbox Defender case.
I wouldn't recommend the deffender. Commuter is less bulky, but the protection level is the same

I have had an Otterbox Commuter on mine for the last two years. Saved my phone from spills, drops, and all sorts of other abuse. Though it is starting to show signs of wear. But it's more than two years in at this point. I am satisfied with it.
Just search "Otterbox Commuter S3" on Amazon

I'd recommend the otterbox defender for folks who are hard on phones. I've dropped mine from 20ft two times without any issues. This was about a year ago. My only complaint is the rubber shell after a while will slowly start to not conform to the case. But get online and make a claim as their cases are lifetime warranty.
I say life proof or PEPK Ultimate
I have the life proof nuude case on my S3 here. I've dropped it a few times (intentionally and unintentionally) and even ran it under my kitchen faucet for a few minutes. It's still holding up with no issues and I did all that months ago.
For factory work however, I recommend the life proof fre case due to the built in screen protector. However if you want to go full on drop protection get the PEPK Ultimate case. It's made of metal that holds together with screws you screw in and has a glass or plastic like screen protector, but it's not waterproof.
I have the
Otterbox Defender
installed on my S3
I personally took out the Otterbox screen protector in the case
and replaced it with
"Tempered Glass" technology.
I definitely would recommend both these products to future S3 owners.
Any suggestions on which brand of faucets is the best? Want years of reliability with very hard water, with solid/heavy construction. Considering Kohler's Solid Brass (Antique series). Anyone have experience with any other brands?
Tempered glass plus Puregear Dueltak heavy duty case. Tanky but not too bulky. Amazing grip.
I recently goty my new galaxy a5 2017 and would like to know if any of you have had any good experiences with your case.
I have found a couple on Amazon already but am not sure what to choose...

I was thinking more about a simple protective case.. not too into the cover cases
I truly recommend Urban Armor Gear
https://urbanarmorgear.com/products/samsung-galaxy-a5-2017-case
I used one for my S5 and have dropped it numerous times onto concrete over 2.5 years and nothing ever happened to it.
So I got one for my A5 as well. It has already survived a few drops .
A cheap one
I recently bought a Spigen Liquid Air. My phone didn't fall but the case is very cheap and seems to be resistant.
I've trusted Spigen as always. Got the Liquid Air in black option. I really like matte finish on the sides and it's so far the best TPU case I've ever had on smartphone. And it's relatively cheap so...
Recommend verus high pro shield
Neon flip cover is very bad. Dont use this case.
Spigen Liquid Air in black option - solid standard with nice matte finish on the sides. I really can't complain. It is very solid.

I have not used SPIGEN dual-layer case for my A5 (yet); however, I have used SPIGEN dual's, like the one your link points to, for two years on my Nexus 5. It was a fantastic case and saved that phone's life more than once.

There's a chain of stores here in Toronto, Canada that sell a film-based protection. FONELAB. They have a tablet with every known smartphone's dimensions. You present your phone, they look it up in their database then laser cut a special military grade film to you device's exact dimensions and cutouts.. You can choose -- front only, back only or a full wrap. They then chemical clean your surfaces and apply the film using a wet process.
Very neat solution, especially for Edge phones.
This isn't so much for drop protection, though it is better than naked. The film cannot be cut or scratched. If you ever choose to remove it, it peels of WITHOUT an adhesive residue.
depends on what you need / want to use it for
For anyone that wants minimum protection, yet real protection then I also can recommend the Spigen Liquid Air Armor
The reason I say real protection, is that this one unlike many other cases does actually protect your phone also on the front side. It has good raised edges that protect your screen from falls.
I would still put this one in the category of the "regular" cases as it does not add much bulk to it. It is however more bulkier than those other ones that can be found in standard the phone shops. The reason is that most of the standard or cheap cases try to be as thin as possible to make it look good or make using it easier because of the now more curved edges phones have or the swipe menu movements. Resulting in low (al most screen height) and weak edges that cannot protect your screen.
The only thing i like less about this case is the sharp look it has on the design because of the edges, giving it a more square and strong look though.
I have seen another case, which was bought in a phone shop (Vodafone it was I believe), but I can't find this one in (Vodafone) shops locally. It was only in clear color i believe. but it was more rounded, felt slightly better in use but still good enough protection to not call it useless.
Do you believe that a leather wallet case can efficiently protect my A5 2017 from drops?
If OtterBox made a defender Case I would have gone for that but sadly no luck there so after an exhaustive search with not many promising results I ended up going with the UAG case and a glass screen cover designed to fit the curved screen. Altogether i didn't end up having to spend more than $50 and I am quite happy with the results and have dropped it on asphalt and concrete without any damage. I highly recommend the Urban Armor Gear case as the other options out there are purely superficial in regards to protection.

I had that first one... it was alright
honestly I'd get the cheapest clear case from ebay... after rocking a caseless galaxy s7 active I've come to enjoy minimalist designs even if the phone takes a beating from a drop. invest in a solid tampered glass screen protector though
I always buy the "cheapest one" I get (last is made of "leather"), is a flip case and cost around 6€ inclusive shipping - now I own it more than a year and it still look "good" and after all: it still works!
I bought the spigen liquid air is ****ing perfect

i bought this also
very satisfied with build quality and grip, also does not add much volume on the device
EDIT:and after 4 massive drops the phone was protected just fine.
I wasn't expecting to find a case with the phone package. But I quite like it, although I'm still on the look out for flip down leather case as I prefer those type of cases.
As it's plastic it'd scratch real easily plus without the case I'm scared to drop it
It all depends on how you handle your phone, and where u keep it while outside. I got the Olixar silicone case.
What's plastic?
I'm using the case provided in the box but as it's not clear(dotted surface), it masks off the excellent holographic effect. Looking to get other cases.
I'm using the free gel case that came in the box. I'm looking for something more long-term, but it isn't bad as a freebie from the manufacturer.
I remove the case as it increases the size of the phone in my pocket.
I've been using the free case and I like it a lot better than the clear silicone you usually find. It's really easy to clean and offers good protection.
Just got the phone yesterday. And i was suprised that mine didnt come with it. As every video stated it comes with one.
Don't know why, but there was no free case in my box(yes it was new, unopened, tape/plastic sealed package) I bought in legit place, in my mobile operator store.
Oh well... bought case from ali, next 2 weeks will be pain in the .... Untill it arrives. fingers crossed that i dont drop it anywhere.
Just recently got the view 20, is anyone able to recommend me a decent case or screen protector? The usual brands I go for seem to not support this device. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
