Im planning on buying the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite and I have seen alot of listing for the version with 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage, and I wanted to know if the custom roms are also compatable with that model.

Custom ROMs are compatible with all versions of the mi a2 lite
Yes, they're compatible. The different numbers just denote a different RAM amount, 3GBs or 4GB.

altho man, whats the differenece in price for 3gb or 4gb?
i would suggest to save a little bit and go for 4gb. it will help with multitasking, and future proofing.as 4gb is really a mid range standard now for phones.

I am confused in 2 version of mobile.
1st 4gb ram 32gb and other 64gb.
32 gb just cost 19k INR and 64gb cost 24k INR.
32gb version is avilable in flipkart but 64gb i cant find(.
I have compared both in website like smartprix and found that 64gb version is tooo better than 32gb though less difference in price.
Comparsion
Example: Less rom ,no flash and few things in 32gb version.
So which is good ,you know where i can buy 64gb version in india.

I would get the 32Gb version to save money and be more efficient. With 32g2g of internal storage you get plenty of room and you could always expand the memory to 128 Gb with micro sd card. Try going to flipkart.com, they will be selling it there for you!:thumbup:

Yes i already choosed that long ago but after watching the specs like... it has no Flash and also 1.8 ghz (approx) processor i raised this question.!!
if i am wrong correct me.
Also, any better phone than this with these specs and price ?? if you can suggest.

Hi, I would like to buy the cheap version (2GB RAM 16GB ROM) but I am afraid not to have a community to help me to "improve" it.
What I need is basically some future update and very important be able to root it.
What do u suggest?

PS: I had to edit it cuz it missed "rooted".
GSM-Arena says the minimum RAM is 3 GB and the minimum storage is 32 GB, max is 4 GB and 128 GB and that's what I relied on. But then somewhere else I saw the specs you mentioned. I know Android hasn't used SD card memory well in the past. Music and apps and DRM-protected downloads were tied to internal memory and so 32 GB of internal memory was a minimum for me. But since Marshmallow those limits on SD storage are (supposedly) lifted and/or debugged.
So, I dunno. Try it, buying from a place that allows returns, and post what happens.

Sorry for my english!
I saw a lot of post about Helium and Hydrogen but no one for the 2GB version. I am afraid to buy it and not be able to find a way to root it or flash a new rom (eg Cyanogen)...

I'm not going to root mines any. But I haven't found any support forums. But I'm sure it'll happen
I would go with the 32 GB version as youâ??ll get 1 extra gig of ram. Miui used quite a bit of it. I run mi max with miui 8 beta. Phone has been on for about a day. And I've got about 600 GB of ram free. I don't really use ram cleaner as it can mess with Androids memory managment. With two gigs of ram I think there will be more apps that get purged from memory i.e worse multitasking. Also the extra storage is kind of sweet.
I would not go for the snapdragon 652. Even though its a beast. Remember that its a bigLittle SoC. So during normal operation the 4x a53 cores will do most of the work. The two extra a72 cores wont really make that much of a difference. Games are still single threaded.. The only motivation is the 4gb of ram and the bigger e-penis.

Yep, that version has only 4 GB of RAM instead of the usual 6 GB of RAM.
Does anybody know if there is any differences in terms of development (root, twrp, roms, etc)? I just ordered the 4 gb ram version and I want to be prepared, thanks in advanced

Depends on your needs. If you're not a "power user", 4gb ram will just be fine. Personally I'd go for 6gb RAM version, as it doesn't hurt to have more RAM (dunno about price difference though) and it's sort of "future-proof".
4Gb ram is enough for a normal user and also for a medium level gamer, but if you a hard gamer and you also use multiwindow feature a lot then you shout go for 6Gb ram verrient.

4gb cause the price difference in the 4/64 and 6/64 gb is to big to get 6gb ram and not get 128gb internal.
even the 3/32 is good enough and 20€cheaper but for 20€ i dont mind to get double internal and 4gb ram. just to be like nice

I need to buy a phone in the next couple of days and the stores i buy from ran out of the 4gb version's stock, so they only have the 3gb version available for now. I would like to know if the 3gb version is worth picking up or is there a better phone arround the same price?

i use the 3gb version and i can say that everything runs smooth and perfect. I tried several custom roms as well. This phone is worth the price:good:
