Kitkat update for redmi 1s DELAYED

Just in via miui cn!
Kitkat update via miui v6 has been delayed again to February! More precisely its never coming! I am just speechless what xiaomi is doing with their customer! clearly I would not hope too much for kernel source either!

I have just posted an ad on olx. Will sell this surely! You know those facebook pages where they said 1M phones sold! LOL! half of those 1M phones are probably listed on olx, and have returned! Xiaomi is really a f***ed up company! I am never going to buy a single product from xiaomi.

Which phone u prefer.. But gotta appreciate build quality is awesome on 1s u can't tell the same thing for micromax

I already have a zenfone 5 which is far more superior. By the time xiaomi releases buggy miu iv6, I will have lolipop on zenfone 5! Asus released kernel source at the time of release and continuously updating kernel when they update firmware! Really awesome s/w team! I mean you will not understand unless you have a asus product! They seriously listen to their users. You request any feature in their app, and if that post on their forum gets thumb up, you will have that in next update! I mean seriously great!
I think for my next phone I will buy upcoming yu phone, or maybe wait for asus to release their next line of product!

What the hell happened with xiaomi,
being patience since september waiting miui 6 for redmi 1s,
they give us all a promise that would released the miui 6 by the end of the year, and now they delay it until march,
surely cant keep my patience again for this time,
totally rely miui 6 on balika's work :angel:

They are not gonna care about petition because already many petitions were filed they didn't bat an eye! Anyway no harm in trying though. Appreciate your idea

Guys hit up GPL.violations send them requests. If enough of you guys spread the word then they will have to act

Mods in miui forum are not so developer friendly like in xda. If we ask anything repeatedly they threaten to ban us for spamming or slam us with the patience speech!

We don't look well in things being posted repeatedly either really. We won't tell you to be patient well because you don't have to be. They are legally bound to deliver the kernel source upon request without delay.

WHAT IS ASUS PLANNING?​Back to 2016
- Asus announced Zenfone 3 series and ZenUI 3
- They also brought new android update to the Zenfone 3 users.
And now is 2017
- Zenfone 4 new series and ZenUI 4 were released.
- They also promise that all Zenfone 4 devices are going to be updated to Android O (In 2018).
In logically
Could it be true that Zenfone 5 new series and ZenUI 5 are going to be out next? And we're going to have new firmware update or ASUS will say NO to Intel device?
I'm a patient guy but this is so hype for me.
So... what do you think?

it looks like samsung's Grace UX but hey its cool , about the firmwqare update asus maybe say no because when someone ask about MM On somewhere on zentalk asus respond theres hardware limitations on zenfone 5

We will see about that. Asus said all Zenfone 4 devices (all variants) will have Android O update. And there is at least one zenfone 4 variant that using same chipset with zenfone 5.
Edited: I don't trust anyone on Zentalk. They are not developers. There was even a guy searching on google to answer user' question.

Yes, I know. But it's actually happened. I was thankfully thought that there was a place to get supports and helps from the developers somehow but just "NOTHING".
Then I decided to find and read documents by myself to get thing fixed and you know what? Nothing comes from ASUS.

Nobody plan's to port ZenUI 4.0 for Zenfone 5?
Oreo seems far from the reality of our devices, developers should concentrate their efforts on other Nougat roms. Only exist CM/Lineage based roms with the pure android, looks like that the possibilities for Zf5 have run out

Honor Fans/Consumers Meetup- Delhi (India)

In continuation to expand the reach and meet up with fans & consumers, Honor India, on 25th August, at Delhi, organized a fan/consumer meet up to get their valuable feedback, complaints, feature requests etc and provide solutions/explanation to address their queries. This was 3rd meet up in the list followed by Chennai and Mumbai. This meet up was for mainly Honor 6X and Honor 8 Pro users.
We shared many feedback, questions & answers and requested for some feature set which we would want to see in upcoming EMUI/phones. It was more of a feedback session and we, along with Honor officials, had a good interactive session.
Fans shared their views, questions, complaints/feedback and also suggested few of the things for community expansion/enhancements which Honor officials took very positively and provided thorough answers and for few of the questions raised, they assured that they will be taking it up further with R&D to work upon, like uniform OTA for all the devices, few of the bugs raised like theme issue, camera lag etc that they will be working internally to provide a better end user experience.

EVERYONE IS WAITING FOR THE HONOR 6X OREO UPDATE. SO PLEASE TELL ME THE CONFIRMATION DATE FOR HONOR 6X OREO UPDATE. IT WAS TOLD THAT AT END OF JANUARY IT WILL COME, BUT IT DIDN'T CAME.

Well form is asking for model number so not sure if this would be limited to India or would be used for global variant. Others can fill and see if update is pushed.

Title updated as this form is limited to India only. Will check more on this and confirm.
Even though limited to India but as India variant may get the update, we can wish others will get as well.
So others can fill as well, it wont harm anything

Its correct though. Their commitment was to roll it out until April 15 we will receive it in the next 5 days or so.

yeah, we informed that those 3 phones will get Pie update on April 15. but its too early for max pro M1 ang max M2 to get the Pie update.

We'll see it in the next few days.
And its not too early. Android Q will roll out and be released in august or september. If anything else, android pie for this smartphone is long overdue.

The User Experience is not the smoothest I noticed, Pie of Nokia 5.1 is way more smoother than this one. The overall experience still feel a bit unpolished. As far as UI goes, the corners are again not smooth like they were in a previous Oreo update (specially around the notch), for some weird reason there is circle witht the Pie navigation gesture pill, the launcher is not same as Pixel/Android One, apps such as Digital Wellbeing are not present nor is available to download). Plus point, Google camera is still working, the display and camera are lagging during video calls (just tried on WhatsApp for now). Will add a few more points as I notice.
