How to create or edit EXT4? - Asus ZenWatch

This is my first thread here, so I hope my mistakes will be forgiven.
I researched hours and read a lot of articles about how to make an EXT4 for my Asus Zenwatch 1, but still nothing!
Most of the methods are unclear and have no well written instruction to be understood by a newbie like me.
Then I got desperate and opened a thread here, so it might be someone somewhere to give me a hand.
I installed Virtual Ubuntu, so I have Linux ready, and I'll be appreciate if someone could help me to solve this case?

DUMMIES guide to rom cooking

hi
I tried looking around and really couldnt find any information for n00bs to help them cook there own roms.
could someone please advise me where this information is available or if someone can do a breif guide on what to do and how?
dont meen to ask TOO much but its really been buggin me.
Your pretty much going to have to read and search...
I have been trying to make my own for awhile and no luck until a couple nights ago I finally got something "cooking".
I found I ended up using two or three different programs to cook with since they all seem to do a little different.
Sorry I can't personally be of more help but you are going to have to search and read since no one will probably take the time to make it "super easy".
Bhups,
Start with the wiki. There are now a number of ROM kitchens that make cooking "relatively easy" to where we were a few months ago.
My suggestion would be to find the threads in the Development & Hacking forum and simply read through them to build up your knowledge base. This will take some time so be prepared.

Ummm ... you asked this very same question in this thread, and were given an answer (by me)
Why start a new thread with this, instead of reading answers to your last post on the issue?

Search the Wizard thread for Faria's Kitchen, it has lots of information about cooking a ROM. Just remember that most of things might be the same for Hermes, but you cant put a wizard ROM on hermes and vice versa. Good luck, keep searching and reading. Follow the link in my signature as needed.
cheers all...
pvs - i'm sorry, I think I missed that thread.
Been so fustrated tring to find places for tutorials I forgot what I posted where.
I thougt someone may have a dummies way of cookin roms ready so they can post it as a reply on a new topic and it can be eaiser for others to find this solution.
It obviously now seems like there is ALOT of reading to do on this, and in multiple places.
okidoki peeps..
me off to it.
Thanks again to all!

Problem installing any rom

i was installing a rom and i had some error.
Now i couldnt install any rom.
what i should to do?
please someone help me :/
look
look around the forum for threads about this problem. and it would help if you knew your error so you could search for that particular one.
The first thing you should do is to learn how to take notes so that you can provide information for others to try to help you. I would NOT attempt flashing any more roms until you have mastered that first step. Please understand that your installation of some unknown rom, and then receiving some sort of error message probably isn't going to get many meaningful answers from forum members.
The second thing you should do is read the wiki, and the rules of posting on these forums. The rules will point out the necessity of providing details, as noted in the first step, above. The wiki might explain things you needed to watch out for before you took your first steps to upgrade (maybe too late for them now, but who knows?).
Anyway, good luck with your dilemma. Hopefully, somebody who's got a working crystal ball will be able to provide some further assistance.

Also, dont install roms with vista. It works for some and not for others.
I have used Vista to flash ROMs all the time and never have any problems.

Just a question ... do you think the OP knows what OS he/she is using?

Flashing reloaded 4 touchflo 2d

Flashing the new reloaded 4 rom to my ppc6800 alltel. Need help Please.
you need to elaborate a bit more buddy. And you might recieve best help in the Titan Forums
I dont know the steps I have never flashed before.
So you are asking someone to hold your hand and walk you through the entire procedure... That's not likely to happen.
You need to find the correct sub forum for your device, and read, read, read... The answers are all there, but you need to put the work in to find and understand them.
If you have any specific problems, you'll find people willing to help you, but you need to do the ground work first.

[Guide] Porting JB AOSP

Ok, I've gotten quite a few PMs about where and how to get started working with Android. I wrote up this guide to help people with porting AOSP ROMs. Be aware, there is no sure fire way to port and you probably will run into bugs and problems. I won't be able to help fix your problems just by someone saying "this or that doesn't work" or "I'm getting a bootloop". Please refrain from posting things like that in this thread. If you have a problem with something please post a link to the thread of the ROM you are trying to port and the base ROM and any other useful information and a logcat. I can give you ideas, however I am not going to do anything for you... it is a lot of trial and error and it's not for everybody. Search, search, search, there is a WEALTH of information on this site, use it... Search before you post, more than likely somebody is having or has had the same problem. That being said here is the guide for anyone interested, there are other guides out there but I wrote this one from my experience.

Also this app may be useful, LAIA:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104750 Learn Android in Android
Happy Porting!
Man you are on a roll. Thank you for this, your roms, and all the help you give the community. Thank you

Rooting to Nougat

Hi, I've been referred to this forum for help with rooting. I've heard that rooting the Tab Pro to Nougat will help the tablet run better, have better battery performance etc.
I've been looking through the forum and I haven't been able to find a thread containing a step by step guide to do this. I did actually find a website with a guide but I was suggested to not trust the site and come here instead. Never rooted before so I am not entirely sure with what I'm doing.
Any help or linking to a relevant thread would be great.
