Hello Folks,
Ever since I bought this Note 10+ , i havn't been able to use it as a phone properly because of an issue which is driving me crazy.
On this phone, the outogoing phone calls would suddenly go on loudspeaker, even when i have not pressed the speaker button and the speker does not show as green also.
The same happens for WhatsApp calls also, both incoming and outgoing. The call would start in earpiece but then suddenly the loudspeaker turns on and everyone else around me can hear the conversation.
This is such a huge privacy concern and bugs like this are not acceptable for a phone this expensive.
Does anyone else experience this and if yes were you able to find a fix ?

When I've got my phone on the dock everything is properly landscape until I take a call and then the call screen goes back to portrait so everything is stuck on it's side until I hang up. Thought it was just Sony's oversight not producing a landscape call screen and have seen a post in the Galaxy S2 forum that has the same problem and an amended phone app was produced to get over this.
However, when I was using the gamepad today and answered a call without sliding it away, the call screen was properly landscape along with everything else so it does actually exist in the software already.
Anyone any bright ideas how it can be persuaded to work on the dock too? Many thanks for any suggestions.
Here's the proper landscape view with the pad open...

Hi. I got Nexus 5X and it has issue with incoming calls. It's weird because I already swap the phone and the SIM due to failure ones (same with the previous). It happens when the phone screen is locked and sometimes it cannot receive incoming calls. And caller hear a voice message from the operator that the phone is turned off. But when I unlock the phone screen it is OK. I cannot keep the screen always on
I updated the OS but still the issue persist. I thought that was SIM issue and I took another then switch the phone for another. Three of my friends got the same phone, same Android version and they have no issue (using same mobile operator). Any ideas? Is there anything I can do?
What kernel/ROM are you using?

The official. I just upgraded it.

Hi there,
First of all, I am somewhat of a noob so please pardon my ignorance.
I am using an Mi 5S device (3GB/64GB version).
I few days ago I successfully flashed RR v5.8.5 20171011.
Android version 7.1.2
Kernel version:
3.18.31-g1bb0006ffa4
[email protected] #1
The issue:
Sound output through the earpiece is fine.
I get all sorts of output when I plug in my earphones.
But I strictly do not get any "media" sound output through my phone speakers.
For example, if I play a song there is no output through the phone speaker.
Or, if I'm watching a video on youtube there is no sound unless I plug in my earphones.
But the phone speaker seems to work fine during calls. I can use loud speaker when calling anyone using the dialer or when calling someone on Facebook messenger.
Please provide a detailed step-by-step solution for this as I am a bit of a noob as I've mentioned earlier.
Thanks!

I have an error that is most likely a hardware issue.
Everytime when sound is involved you can hear some constant background noise with some clicking and clacking sound at the end. (It sounds a lot like when you use a walkie-talkie: for example "blablabla, over and out." *chhhhrrrrr click* )
I tried...
rooting & installing custom roms
changing speaker
My sister's P600 works fine with either headphone, so I guess the problem is my specific device. It dropped a tool on the mainboard once when changing the charging port, could that caused some damage?
My primary question is: Where is the position of the sound card? (so that I can search the area for physical damage)
My secondary question would be: Any other ideas what it could be?

Not a deal breaker of an issue but just wanted to check if anyone else had found a setting or fix.
On global stable rom (9.5.17), when you miss an incoming call you get the standard missed call notification (as part of the dialler/phone app) in the status bar. But you also get a missed call message that shows in the messaging app. I find the normal no notification useful enough but don't want the extra one in messaging. Is there any way to turn this off? I've looked through settings for messaging, calls etc but don't see anything.

Dont have this problem. Maybe thats your operator sending these messages and not phone itself?
You have activated missed call alert on your SIM try changing the SIM card or reactive missed call alert..
Here's how it shows up in the messages app.
