Is there a way to disable that clock that appears only when wirelessly charging that takes the place of the AOD. I find it annoying that you cannot see the info on the display (notifications, etc) when this clock appears. I tried looking for a setting but can't find it anywhere. Any help would be aporeciated.

in the process of upgrading all kinds of junk, my start bar time or start bar clock got changed from digital to analog. single tapping just displays a popup bubble that says time and next appointment with a battery. i searched like crazy and found out that just holding a tap on the analog clock will bring up a menu that says analog or digital. I'm trying to make this wordy so someone searching for the answer doesn't waste an hour trying to figure out what application was making this setting like i did. happy hacking!~!!
Hello everybody. I have switched from a Galaxy S4 to a G4 and one thing I miss (or haven't enabled) is the desktop dock. On my S4 I just put it in the dock (also a Samsung) and it triggers dock mode and then I use Desk Clock Plus. But on G4 nothing gets triggered. Does anybody know if there is such a mode and if there is... am I missing a setting somewhere? Or maybe the Samsung dock is incompatible...
Thanks.
settings, display, daydream dont lock phone while putting it on dock (start up settings both, in daydream)
I have it on dock and it doesn't work. I have an workaround by using the slow charging notification (I have a 700mah power adapter to stress the battery as little as possible) and Trigger app to read the notification and launch the Desktop Clock. But it is just a workaround not the answer.
I want it to launch only when docked otherwise it works correctly if I allow day-dreaming when charging.
Hi all. I noticed the last few days that when im using the clear view cover it started to have AOD. Before I had to press the on/off button with the case closed if i wanted to see any info through the case. Now it always shows the clock but its a bit darker then the clock shown when the you press the on/off button. It also doesnt show notifications in AOD when the case is closed whereas when i oress the button it shows all notifications.
So im wondering is this some update to the case or somwthing is not working as designed, tho i dont mind.
Anoyone had similiar things happen or knows some more information about this?
I just found an answer to this. There is a new option under the always on display that allows it to be used with the clear view cover which is great news because i know a lot of people wwee complaining about the lack of this feature.
I've installed the update and configured the new AOD settings, but I’m having some problems getting the 6/1/2017 [Samsung] Always On Display (v2.6.77.4) update to work properly on my S8+ with my Clear View case.
I have the new option in the AOD settings and have set the “Show Always” toggle to “on.” I have tried setting the “Clear View Cover” toggle to both “on” and “off,” yet whenever the cover is closed the AOD display remains off (shows the default clock).
To be clear, when the cover is open the AOD clock display always shows per the settings. I really would like to see my personalized AOD clock display through the cover when the cover is closed.
What might I be missing?
TIA
When putting my device on wireless charger I get ui as shown in fotographs added.
Unfortunatly this ui shows up too, when I put it in my wireless charging car dock. Due to vibritations etc while driving, it shows up very often and overlays running apps like navigation, which is very anoying if you miss turns.
Thats why I am searching for a way to temporarily dissable (toggle on/off) this ui
Since our beloved device has a notch, I wanted to disable showing the clock via systemUI tuner and gain some space for notifications. However, everytime the display is turned off, the clock reappears.
Does anyone observes similar or different behavior?
