Top 5 games for S-Pen - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

The Note 10 can run any games no problem with no questions asked. But how about games that take advantage of the S-Pen?

Thanks for the link. I downloaded a couple to try out.

Thanks, good to know

Also recommend "Draw Something!" (pro version without ads), it's essentially Pictionary vs other people online and it's so much easier to draw your pictures with the S-Pen.

Is that game still active? It had such a hype a few years ago then everyone I knew stopped playing.

Too bad the S-Pen doesn't work with Mario Kart, that would be awesome.

using HTC tpr II wit DS games?

Hey all
i would like to install some games on my pro II, but since im currently holding my pro II for the first day and i lack any knowledge on how to get this done i was wondering if some1 could give me a short walktrough. I have read so far that morphgear seems to offer the best emulators.
And then for the future, any1 thinks with the touchflo function some DS game might eventualy work on the pro II? like for example zelda for the DS?
thanks in advance
greetings
Alsa
Theoretically it could be possible. The TP2 has enough processing power. Correction, alot more.
But the main problem is, is that the DS games are designed to be playable with 2 screens. The touchscreen itself for your minimap, menu's, radar etc. The upper screen (non-touch) as actionscreen. Would be a huge problem to fuse that. Almost impossible.
ah true, didnt think of that yet
so what would you suggest, which games would be the best on the pro II
I highly doubt this will ever be possible... I rather play games on devices dedicated to gaming.

Now why would that pose a problem? If they can get it to work on a PC with a single NON-touchscreen...
Screen resolutions of the DS are 256x192. Two screens would fit on the Pro2's screen without problem. Just make only the bottom portion of the screen respond to touchscreen-input and you've got your solution more or less. I think processing power would be more of a problem really.

Didn't think about that.
True that the TP2 could emulate 2 screens on one. Thanks to the low resolution of the DS. So they could indeed fit in the screen of the TP2.
If you look at the 3D game Xtrakt. That originally is designed to show the power of the Xperia X1 (that works on the TP2 too). It uses more shaders and better texture filtering than the DS.
Klik here for the game Xtrakt.
(Might need a reboot after install)
As we all know that even the TP2 has a dedicated graphics-chip that can show better graphics (so I believe) than the DS. The other problem would indeed be the emulating of 2 screens in one. It's possible. But needs alot more power than the DS has.
possibilities seem endless
so any of you guys running some nice games on your pro II? im looking for something that can kill the time during train/bus rides.
Alsa
Well Xtrakt, like I mentioned above.
Pocket Uno is a fun timekiller.
That's it what I have on mine atm. Still looking. I just got the TP2 for 3 days. Bit busy with tweaking and modding.
I regularly play games like risk, poker, civilization, monopoly, arvale, baseball.
All work great on the TP2. You can also try SNES and GBA emulators.
Oh and don't forget hdWobble.... it's not really a game, but still fun.
alhung could you pm me the link you have deleted when u have edited?

Which civilization?
If you want a NES or Game boy color emulator... Smartgear works well.
I only have an Excalibur right now, but I'm pretty sure that it will work on the [email protected]
Unfortunately its not the exact civilization as we know if from the PC, but it's called: Sid Meiers Civilization IV - War of Two Cities
The gameplay is basically: 2 opposing cities sending out different types of units towards the other city (only moment of deployment is controllable, they move on their own) and firing a canon. It has some unit upgrading options and the era changes as you advance, but don't expect too much depth in the game. All in all a simple game but good enough for killing some spare time.

2 player games

Hi i will have my SGS2 soon and i have brought the mrs a Galaxy ace as its her first smart phone and very cheap indeed.
I was woundering if there any 2 player games that we both can play against eachother from eachothers phones,
I no apples phones have games like this but i really havnt a clue with android as im slightly rusty with it tbh and never really had any freinds with an android device.
I've come across a few and they tend to be turn based games rather than real-time. There's a whole bunch of Scrabble derivatives (Words with friends, wordfeud, wordsmith), a few for chess (chess-presso is the only one I've tried but I know there are others) and one that I particularly like is Pool Break which lets you play pool, snooker, and a couple of other games.
For real-time gaming the only one I know of is Homerun Battle 3D which is quite good fun. I'm sure there are others but that should get you started.

Isn't mini squadron multiplayer? That's a fun little game.
so there is a few then, id concider playing any game against the mrs!
if you like starcraft, try starfront from gameloft, very nice detailed game, and very nice to play against friends (and your mrs if she likes that kind of games.)
Edit: they have multiplayer on most games, so check out their website. I believe they also have some nice racing games etc.

Favourite game and app on the Galaxy S2?

Okay, so I just spent half an hour looking through the Android Market at the top games and apps, and haven't really seen anything that catches my eye!
Now, maybe it's just me, and I'm being a little too fussy, but I really don't seem to be able to find a good, highly addictive long term game.
Current Games - Mark /10:
Doodle Jump - 6
Blood and Glory - 7
Cut the rope - 4
Enchanted Realm - 6
Fieldrunners - 8
Flight Control - 4
Fruit Ninja - 5
Great Little War Game - 6
Gun Bros - 5
Tap Tap 4 - 5
Zynga poker - 2
Unblock Me - 9
As for interesting apps... I can't find anything :/
Any help and advice would be nice?
Thanks in advance!
I have been searching for that game you are looking for for over a year now and haven''t found anything myself yet.
Gun Bros was fun in the beginning, but Glu Mobile only wants to milk your wallet a bit more (that goes for all of their games, mind you!). All fine with me, but the game strats to drag after a few months of play and becomes tedious. It levels too slowly, or, to put it differently, the weapons are too expensive (and the expensive one do not even live up to expectation). I abandoned it after like three months or so.
I like the ""Choice of ..." series very much -- I'm currently playing Broadsides and Romance. I'm not originally into RPGs, but this is kinda fun. It more or less makes the story more interesting if you have influence on the outcomes, even if it sometimes is clear the difference is minor because the story picks up again the same way it did the last few times. Nice time-waster, though.
Random Mahjong for the sleepless hours (I use it with Screen Filter to dampen the screen brightness a bit, primarily to soothe my eyes since I have it plugged it when I''m in bed anyway).
Flight Control: meh. Fun in the first few levels, but tedious after a while.
Plants vs. Zombies: very funny, like the humor. Have played it on the PC -- great fun -- an enjoy it on the Android platform. Wish I could play it on a bigger screen, though: it wouldn't be the first time I scr**ed up on plant placement.
Virtual City: instant buy. Like it very much, but haven't been playing lately due to real life taking over for a bit. Have the Sandbox Edition installed as well, but haven't played it yet for the same reasons.
Age of Wind: likeable, and fun, but the steering mode annoyed me and I was put to the bottom of the sea very fast. I find the economics unclear and " steep".
Apparatus: reputed to be great fun. Installed, but not played yet.
Dead Space: looked like a winner (oh, the visuals! : D ), but the controls annoyed me supremely. Happily uninstalled.
Guerilla Bob: fun, but not for a the long-term you are apparently looking for. I liked it though, but again, way too short.
Robo Defense: immensely fun, and you can keep experimenting on different lay-outs and tower compositions. Achievements provide that little extra oomph of stimulus to go on and on and on. Had to wrestle myself away from this one for sheer terror of social dysfunction.
Stupid Zombies: fun, and a ''thinker'', but very hard on higher levels, which might be a put-off if you're a casual gamer.
Reckless Getaway: fun, but it turns out I'm a crappy virtual driver (luckily not so in real life -- that doesn't really fit with a motorcycle, now, doesn't it ; )
Cut the Rope: quite possibly a killer game for most of us. Thinking fast is key here, I like it very much. (I have to admit though that my 3.5 year-old son is about as good as I am. But he is astonishingly good for a 3 yo, ROFLOL!)
Great Little War Game: hard one, this one. Liked it, but was not 'steadfast' and sometimes was unclear what consequences movement would have. There is only an inconsequential und relatively uninformative tutorial, so you're left to fend for your own.
Not played (extensively): UNO, Siegecraft, Virtual City Sandbox Edition.
Hope that helps a bit.

i'm currently addicted to Where's My Water ... it's really fun to play
If your looking for a long term game to play like op on laptop or pc like fifa or warcraft or aion or need for speed there ar none to few...the gameplay on android device is limited by your own taist ,like marty allready told @ some game's controls ar badass.
Deadspace and Nova2 hd ar the taste for eyes but a hate for controls
Eart and Ledgend and Samurai2 and Third blade free ar for rpg less graphical lust for eyes but controls ar way better
Sleepy Jack and Cordy and sonic4 and windup kight and snowpro ar good/oke but also simple gameplay
And for app's depend on what your using your phone for howe old you ar and where you live
I am a plumber/central heating and work on new and renovation buildingsite's so for my work i use extreme alarm clock to set alarm ,tiny flashlight for in the dark and calculator for..and business calander and fm radio
For fun i use plume for twitter ,friendcaster pro for facebook ,skype and chaton to talk and text with home or friends and some dutch app's.
For practical use a have 1tap cleaner ,documents to go ,advanced task killer ,Dr.web(for security) ,igo8 to not get lost here in europe ,my data manager for 3g ,total recall for sgs2 to record my call's ,tunein radio when i am home over wifi ,weather and toggle widget ,weather pro ,shopsavvy as barcode scanner while shopping ,dish pointer for when i am on grand prix sidecarcross camping and having truble with my satelite reciver to watch tv.
Greats mike
I will end this noooow! Cartoon wars! Its suuuuuuuuuper addictive!! . Please try it.

A few I like
Windup knight
World of Goo
Backstab
Nova 2
Dungeon hunter 2
Hero of Sparta
They are all battery killer though (especially the gameloft games), so take that into consideration when you still have half a day to go before recharge.

[Q] Does Root + Debloat Resolve Performance Issues?

I just got my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 from Amazon and I'm already having issues with it
I play Simpsons Tapped Out and this game ran without any lag on my 2012 Nexus 7. However, when I load up the game on the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, I am having major lag while trying to pan around the town and even while trying to tap the buildings to collect money. I imagine Tapped Out is an incredibly casual and lightweight game(resource wise), so it makes me worried about how 'real' games will perform on the device.
My question is, if I root and debloat the tablet, will this improve performance on the tablet? Or is this the kind of performance that I can expect from the Exynos tablets?
I found this thread, and I was going to follow those instructions to debloat it with titanium backup(I assume I can use that to debloat it). Has anyone tried this and noticed an increase in performance?
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help
As a follow up. I just went through and rooted the tablet, froze all that bloat and it's still performing like garbage in Simpsons Tapped Out. How is this possible that the Exynos chip isn't as good as a 2 year old tablet? Is it the QHD display? Is it TouchWiz that's causing it?
Out of all the reviews I looked at, none talked about this type of lag. This Simpsons game can't be that graphic intensive. Why is it stuttering so badly when I pan around the town?

May just be that that game is confused by the Exynos 8 core cpu. The device clearly has the power to run a simple game like that. In short, I think it may be the game and not the tablet.
One other idea. Try running Nova Launcher. But other users have had the same issue as you with that particular game.

That is really sad to hear. I can't get Family Guy working properly on the tablet and now this Besides watching content when I'm in bed, this is all I use the tablet for. It's making it really hard to format my 2012 Nexus 7 so I can give it to my father.
I'm curious if it's the CPU or the GPU that the game is having an issue with. I have had my eye on this forum lately and am getting excited that the CyanogenMod ROM might be the solution to my issue with these casual games. Positive thoughts :fingers-crossed:
Thanks for your input. I will say that it handles my 1080p content from my Drobo with BS Player flawlessly. So at least there's something

Tonight there should be a ROM with sound working if you want to give it a go.

I have been keeping an eye on your CyanogenMod thread. I have never used it for more than a day on my Nexus 5 before, but I'm excited to try it out on my Tab S 8.4
Clash of clans works great! Try it. It's crazy addicting
I installed Simpsons on my S 8.4, it seems to be running smooth for me. But I only started the game and my city is pretty basic at the moment, maybe performance issues start with a larger city ?

I wouldn't say I have a huge city, I'm only level 17. Nothing like my level 40 city in Family Guy. But I have a dozen or so characters unlocked in Simpsons. I can log out of my account and play as a guest I think to test on a starter city.
well, it wont' connect to the server now :/ but I will test it when I can
There have been reports of issues with this game on the other galaxy tablet forums as well. Since this tablet is fully capable of running even more complex games I would focus on the software as the issue. I'm not sure if these issues have been relayed to the developer but that would a great start to a resolution.

Back to the initial topic: Debloating can eliminate some of the background services that consume processing power. But it would surprise me if this would result in any relevant speedup (on an Octacore).
Other than that, probably the color adaption+enhancement thing does cost some performance (and battery).
And Mali T628 drivers might not be optimized.

It plays perfectly fine on my 2012 Nexus 7. There has been a swarm of lag complaints about it on blogs dedicated to the game. So maybe it's on their end
We now have some excellent rom's in development which should improve your experience.
I just tried the Simpson and couldn't try to replicate the lag problem. Mind runs very smooth.

i loaded a new game and it ran ok until I got about 3 or 4 people on the screen. i see different lag spots. one happens when it first loads people's animations. so even if i scroll away, when i come back it seems to load those animations again. another lag spot i see is when i try to tap on a building to activate the money or finish the person's task. when the money bounces out of the building, i see lag spikes here. they don't go completely away after i collect the money, but shortly after
the family guy from the amazon store plays fine and doesn't have this lag. i also read on some dedicated simpsons tapped out blogs that EA is aware of a lag issue. however, im not entirely sure if i am getting the same lag they are confirming. we will see though.

Out of morbid curiosity, have you tried my cm port?

Touch Screen Issues on Pixels?

You see I play these tiny games, Swing Copters, 1 and 2. These are games where you continuously need to touch the screen to keep the gameplay alive. Now I know almost no one else play these games, and other than these two games I myself don't play any games either
Now the thing is, I have been playing these games for like three years now. Started from Moto X, then moved to Note 3, Note 4 and now Pixel. Now I never had any touch screen related issues previously on those phones, but now on the Pixel I do have touch screen issues, as if one or two touches are missed/ignored if you continuously touch the screen, making the game impossible to play. Now I am unsure whether this is because of these games' incompatibility with Nougat, or simply a hardware issue on the Pixel!
So I am asking here, for those of you who play a lot of games, and those games mainly where you need to continuously touch the screen to keep the game alive (Angry Bird or Subway surfer won't cut it!), do you guys notice any such problems?

I just downloaded swing copters to give it a shot. I didn't notice any immediately apparent issues with the touch screen. I do play clash of clans and feel like occasionally a touch isn't registered, but it's like 1 time out of 5000 which makes me think I simply missed what I was trying to push rather than it being an issue with the screen.
Ha ha you just confirmed my doubt mate. It was already mentioned in google's support page, someone else also was having same problem, don't remember which game anyway. Its also not 1/5000 for me, but something like 1/500 or something, which is completely unacceptable anyway. I have been playing this game for over two years, and spread over three different phones and none had this problem, obviously, cause none had any hardware issue like this.
Thanks for your input.
I've had issued. There's a touch calibration app that really helped. But i recently rma'd and hoping that isn't issue on new device.

Best of luck mate. I have had the same on three XLs now. Two of them manufactured in the month of October, one January. Have no interest to test again, I am certain this has affected all the XLs, but whatever.
Created a topic on Google's support page too, if more users are here then please keep this topic alive. I don't have the phone any more, won't, so don't care personally but other users might get help from this.
