Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share stock nougat kernel(32.3.A.0.372 Customized IN) patched which has DM-Verity, DRM fix and can be used to root. I have successfully rooted my device using the steps explained by @serajr here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70595975&postcount=1702
Currently there is no way to get TWRP and disable Sony RIC.
For TWRP, use below fast boot command to boot temporarily and do whatever you want.
For disabling Sony RIC and get write access to system, use root explorer or any other apps which is similar, and edit the follow file /sys/kernel/security/sony_ric/enable to '0' when you want to modify any system files or folders.
TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES.
Steps To root device:
1) Boot any stock patched kernel (boot.img) with TWRP from Marshmallow or Zach's kernel using following fast boot command and access TWRP while booting using Volume Up button.
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
2) Flash attached zip
3) Flash latest supersu zip
4) Turn off, and boot your device normally
Hope this helps someone.
Please say thanks if this helped you.
Thank you.

Thanks.
Have just one question. Do we install 32.3.0.A.372 (nougat) using flashtool, or is there a flashable zip for twrp?!
I'm presently rooted with twrp on stock marshmallow.

You have to download nougat firmware from xperiafirm, and flash using flashtool. There is no flashable zip for sony stock firmware.

Yes, if you follow the guide I linked or used my kernel.
Here's the dual sim, tested and working

Cannot boot MM Kernel using fastboot command. Also tried flashing but doesnt work
FYI
I'm Using Single-Sim Version of the kernel "Z4_Z3P_SK_Permissive_v5.11_III.2_4_7_ctl_X_iv y"
Also using Flashtool 0.9.23.2
I'm on 32.3.A.0.372, Updated via OTA on phone. After Flashing 32.2.A.5.11 from xperifirm
Bootloader still reports UNLOCKED
Please Help
UPDATE: Just had to Disable Xperia MyProtection. It got activated by itself after OTA
I try it but my phone not root, open superus show notification "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it". Please Help
DRM fix doesn't work. XReality (among other things I assume) are ever disabled.
On Marshmallow DRM fix was working fine (was using XReality engine despite the unlocked bootloader)
I understand that with thins new update it becomes impossible to downgrade to previous versions of MIUI but how about custom roms like lineage? Or installing twrp and magisk? There is a lot of info scattered but i would like to get some answers and update OP with something like a FAQ of do and Do not to make it easier for everybody
*Work in Progress*
-Miui 10
- From 8.7.10 onward flashing TWRP is impossible but booting into TWRP is possible from Fastboot using "fastboot boot recovery.img"
- There is one report of a successful Treble Lineage Flash ( take it with a grain of salt )

Yes we need to know if possible flash custom roms or not. If yes the anti rollback isnt a big deal.
I updated to latest global beta.......now i cant flash twrp recovery now because of this anti rollback.
in my expiriance with LG G4 with antirollback. i could flash any custom rom aosp laos. just stock rom from LG i could not . qfuse will blow and brick phone.. this was only on LG firmware stock roms. not sure if its the same in xiaomi.
TWRP can be installed
Im currently on Miui 10 8.7.12 global beta
I have TWRP 3.2.1 installed along with magisk 16.0 :good:
Everything works fine
Have no intention of going back to previous builds

did you install before or after updating?
Installed it after as twrp was replaced by stock.
After rooting it works fine
Anti roll back is already in moto phones. Only problem is rollback to stock only you can flash 8.1 to 7.1 custom ROMs. Even in stock you can skip bootloader files and flash to rollback with upgraded bootloader. Its new to xiaomi.
So Anti-rollback is no big deal because we can install TWRP + custom roms then? Some people say no (they can't, with little to no evidence) and others say yes (with decent evidence). Do we know what's up, I read comments telling it's basically 50:50. Is it device dependant, or do we need some exploits in terms of drivers/software usage etc? Thanks for your reply!
I'm also searching whether we can install custom rom or not ?
My RN5 AI came with stable MIUI 9.5.22.0. When I tried to install TWRP, to begin the process of flashing RR, I got the anti-rollback message and TWRP install failed.
You can install custom recovery and roms. Method here: Everything About Anti Roll-back .

Did you check the version of anti-rollback via fastboot (fastboot getvar anti)?
What was your method of flashing? Minimal adb and fastboot flash recovery redwolf.img and then boot into it, or just booting into it and flashing redwolf.img from the recovery itself? Did you use lazyflasher afterwards, or is it even necessay with redwolf? Which version of Redwolf did you use?
Thanks for your effort and sorry for all of these questions, I really hope we can help the community out. Plz tell then if you succeed in flashing a custom rom

So nothing has changed regarding flashing recovery and custom roms? I mean, people managed to flash twrp/redwolf the normal way --> doing the same with custom roms. I don't think we have a problem here but still this new implementation makes me nervous...
Edit: huh, no just flashing the antibypass image before doing the twrp in case you are on anti rollback > 3. Just with "fastboot getvar anti" the version, if you are on 3 you are good, if you are on 4 use the method the link I guess...

Hi, guys.
I have the indian stock rom (2.5.104 ST) and i decided to install a custom rom (Pixel Experience by Rodrigues). Then, i unlocked the bootloader and installed the twrp 3.2.2, but, when i get into recovery mode, there's only 3 options:
- Reboot
- Insttal Update Package
- Power off
How can i get the normal interface, with the regular options?
Thanks!

You haven't installed twrp.
After unlocking the bootloader, the very next step is installing the twrp, right? And i can do this in the indian version?
Also, i've installed the 3.1 after that, by flashing in the minimal adb and the same screen, with these 3 options appeared again... :/
Thanks!

I followed this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-zuk-z2/how-to/z2-z2-plus-bootloader-unlock-twrp-t3615283

But I used this TWRP version (https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...lus-treble-roms-flashing-reverting-t3778287): treble-TWRP 3.2.2 v2
If TWRP is not installed, should i try again? Starting after the bootloader unlocking step? Is there any problem?
I'm confused, because there's these 2 guide topics... i don't know if i only have to do the bootloader unlocking + trwp + supersu or if i have to flash this factory2vendor...
Thanks!

First of all many users are confusing rom with firmware, the whole rom is flashed through fastboot or EDL (although OTA updates could be flashed through recovery) while the firmware is a small set of files that can be flashed through recovery in form of zips.
What I did to boot many GSIs out there? although any of them satisfied due to many bugs comparing with the developed custom roms for Daisy.
- Go to recovery and backup just the boot partition.
- Then format data.
- Then advanced wipe; data, system and cache/ART Dalvik cache.
- Transfer GSI to your device using any convenient method (transferring file or copying to your external SDcard)
- Flash the GSI on System Image partition.
- Restore the boot partition.
- Flash only the firmware zip (version may vary) Never I needed to flash the whole rom.
- Flash DFE.
- Switch to the other slot and reboot.
- If device won´t boot it could be required to flash a proper vendor version through fastboot. Pay attention to the slot that you flashed before to target the same slot if you need to flash this partition.
With this method I could boot to OneUI, Moto, nubia, ZenUI, HydrogenOS and Xperia while I can´t on ZUIOS and didn´t try with FlymeOS

I am not responsible for any brick.
I tested this guide myself and decided to share it.
Make a backup before this guide because you will lose your data!
The unlock method has been updated and now you can unlock the bootloader more easily without the risk of bricking after an OTA and without changing the bootloader.
Now you can safely unlock the bootloader using mtkclient.
Link: https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
TWRP can be installed via mtkclient or manually from rooted Android.
TWRP Download link: https://github.com/XRedCubeX/twrp_meizu_m5c/releases
IF you unlocked the bootloader with the old method you can follow these steps:
1) Download the attached package.
2) Download OTA zip from flyme, link: http://www.flymeos.com/firmwarelist?modelId=70&type=1
3) Download the latest version of SP Flash Tool.
4) Download MTKClient and follow the instructions to install it.
5) Power off the phone and keep unplugged it from PC.
6) Open SP Flash Tool, select the downloaded package and select all partitions, then press the download button, don't plug phone for now.
7) Boot to recovery with vol +, plug the phone on PC, depending on recovery, TWRP or stock, use adb sideload or put update.zip in internal memory and install the zip.
8) Let the phone reboot or reboot it manually.
9) Now start the flash from SP Flash tool automatically, let it finish.
10) After the flash, unplug the phone and reboot into recovery.
11) Paste the update.zip in the phone and flash it.
12) After reboot, let your phone reboot into android and power off.
13) You can follow the guide to unlock bootloader with mtkclient.
FAQ:
A) But will I lose the data with this guide?
Yes.
Make sure to back up your data in any case!
B) But this guide is a bit different than usual, where is "fastboot oem unlock"? Or "fastboot flashing unlock"?
Meizu has not implemented an unlock command and in this case to unlock the bootloader we have to use a tool that makes us change the unlock status.
C) Are there Custom ROMs?
There is only one custom ROM for this device, the Lineage OS 14 but I advise against using it because it has a bit of a bug but I haven't had more time to work on it yet.
D) But wasn't the guide different?
It has been updated with a better method with more advantages.
E) My device is in Hard Brick! How can I solve?
There are various types of Hard Brick and it depends from situation to situation.
F) I have installed Lineage OS 14 but I am not satisfied, I want to go back to Flyme!
Flash update.zip from official website.
G) Can I relock the bootloader?
From MTKClient readme:
for relocking use:
python mtk da seccfg lock

H) TWRP? I am interested in Device Tree, where is the link?
Here: https://github.com/XRedCubeX/twrp_meizu_m5c
I) I have a Meizu A5 (Chinese M5c) will it work on it?
I can't assure you anything but it could work, the only way to be sure is to test on a Meizu A5.
J) Can I flash twrp from fastboot?
Fastboot refuses to flash partitions, strangely, I don't know if downgrade or anything changes the situation but for now I was able to flash it with mtkclient.
I can remove the FlameOs from the Meizu M5c and install a custom rom. So far I haven't found any rom for this device?

Ok i found a working guide, tried on my M5c and it works:
Search on YouTube: flash mtk without da ,
You will find a video called, just exactly as I write here: "How to flash MTK secure boot devices without a custom DA" and follow the video tutorial for unbrick your device.
P.S:Obviously when the guide ends you flash the ROM from SP flash tool as you normally would

You will find a video called, just exactly as I write here: "How to flash MTK secure boot devices without a custom DA" and follow the video tutorial for unbrick your device.
P.S:Obviously when the guide ends you flash the ROM from SP flash tool as you normally would

Did you finally manage to fix the device?
Were you able to get on with the guide?

I haven't had time to do it yet. When I have time I will follow the tutorial and tell you if it worked.

XRed_CubeX, I followed the tutorial from start to finish. I used the SP Flash Tool to install the M5c stock ROM, the ROM was flashed 100%, but after disconnecting the USB cable the phone did not turn on.

Have you flashed the Stock ROM or the Engineering ROM? I remind you that even if you have flashed the eng rom only once previously, you can no longer return to the flyme bootloader so use the normal stock ROM but you will have to flash the Engineering rom

Well, I flashed the stock ROM a second time, using the Firmware Upgrade option, and it worked. My phone turned on and I'm in the initial setup screen.
By the way, this Engineering ROM is the ROM you shared above? Do you think it is stable enough to be used? Maybe another day I'll install it, with care to not do anything wrong again

Yes, the ROM in this thread is ROM engineering, about the stability I can't tell you why I haven't tested it, the main purpose FOR ME was to get the bootloader unlock with this ROM, if you want to switch to ROM engineering you CAN install the flyme after installed the Engineering ROM but you must always modify the OTA zip so that some partitions do not flash but if you are interested I will talk about it in more detail and maybe I will give you a hand to flash flyme safely on bootloader engineering

Actually, the ROM I installed with SP Flash Tools was not the update.zip from the official Flyme OS website. I downloaded the stock rom from needrom.
I have done this several times before.
But now, strangely I can no longer update to the latest version. The version I'm running is Flyme 6.0.2.0G. I tried to download the update.zip file and install it manually by clicking on it, and it appeared "corrupted file". I also tried to use the Update application and "network error" appeared. But everything else is working perfectly.

I would like to know how to install the latest version of Flyme OS via TWRP. If you can tell how to do this..

can't release the Lineage because I'm fixing some bugs and I want to do some checks before releasing it publicly

Are you working on a custom Lineage OS ROM for this device? I'm interested, when you can publish it.. Do you have a prediction of when you will be able to release that ROM?

Ok, I'll explain in detail how it works: In the guide you will have read that you cannot return to the flyme using the stock rom or an unmodified OTA. This is a tip because once you flash the Engineering ROM, the engineering bootloader (which is essential for unlocking) will also be flashed, but the problem is that if you flash the stock bootloader (the flyme one, the one you surely have when you get the phone), the device for a reason unknown to me, probably the Engineering ROM modifies something in the device (?) and then goes into brick if you try to return to the flyme bootloader. To flash an OTA flyme on TWRP, you must first have some precautions: you must take the OTA on your computer (or a file explorer capable of editing zip files) and remove the following files: lk.bin preloader.bin (it will have a name longer but you still have to remove that) and tz.bin / trustzone.bin. Done like this, now the OTA becomes safe to install, you install it from TWRP, at the end of the flash it will give you an error but it is because it does not find the files we have removed but we can safely ignore it because it will have successfully installed the flyme on the device.
Regarding lineage: I'm still working on it a bit and gradually I'm discovering bugs. I already warn you that the camera will not work in the Lineage, I have tried in every way to try to make it work but it does not want to go, I have asked for help everywhere but no one has been able to answer so I do not know what to do, for the rest I want to keep a little longer the ROM under test to fix the remaining bugs
