upgrade m8 to Official Lineage 16.0 - GApps Error 70 - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just updated my m8 to the official Lineage 16.0 release. I was on 14.1 but put everything on the storage, wiped, installed Lineage.
Then i tried to install GApps pico and i am running out of system partition storage. I tried to resize my system partition, but it's locked at ~1020 with 900MB used so the system. No amount of resizing can increase the system partition.
even at 90MB zipped, i'm unable to flash GApps at all.
Does anyone know a novel way to do this?
I'm currently rooted and booted into lineage. I might try using titanium to move some apps out of system to flash the gapps. we'll see how it goes.

Ditto for me as well. How is anybody else using Lineage 16 with Gapps?

There's a Magisk module Called MagicGapps. Install it from Recovery... Just be sure to have a nano or pico Gapp downloaded and in the same directory as the magicGapps.

[Solved] Internal Storage space running out on clean ROM after first reboot

Hello,
I am having issues with internal storage space after flashing a clean ROM (Tried with Cyanogenmod 11 M12 Release and latest Mokee Release).
I wiped and formatted everything possible through the latest 4ext Recovery Touch release (except sd-card).
After I flash the ROM and GApps, everything works normally, I set up my phone and install a few apps. (Even tried without installing any additional apps later on)
Device>Storage: Total space 1.13 GB, Apps ~200MB, Available ~1GB.
In Recovery:
system 549.2MiB (152.2MiB free)
data 1.1GiB (1.0GiB free)
cache 295.3MiB (204.7MiB free)
All formatted to ext4
I then reboot. The phone remains in a black screen state for quite a while, and after that it boots, however this time with a "Storage running out" error. What happened?
Device>Storage: Total space:1.13GB, Apps ~200mb, Available: 10 MB.
In Recovery
data partition now has 10MB free
Some of my applications were uninstalled automatically when I booted, and I cannot install any applications.
This happens every time.
Can someone please help? What files are being created and why? I've been trying to find a solution to this for days, but I can't find anything
Phone is Desire HD with baseband 12.65.60.29U_26.14.28_M
I've managed to solve the issue. Switching from 4ext to the CWM Advanced recovery fixes everything

Click to collapse
I know that the Nameless TWRP is a little bit buggy- sometimes you have to reboot to recovery multiple times before your storage shows up. Keep rebooting to the recovery until you can see your internal SD card- that's what I do.
If you aren't using TWRP by Nameless... I have no idea what to do.

Unable to install gapps on GT-I9190 after upgrade to 6.0.1

Hi,
I upgraded my GT-I9190 to CM13 with a OTA upgrade, google play services don't work, so I tried to upgrade gapps but I'm unable to make it work. I downloaded the last version from opengapps as sugested by CM wiki (tried nano on fist attempt and pico later) and the installer always return "error 70", no space available on /system partition.
Tried deleting as much as I think wouldn't break the phone from /system partition, uninstalled previous gapps (one by one) and still doesn't have enough space.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
Try deleting other apps which take up a lot of space (not only from /system... Leave system alone). Or delete other files, like pictures, videos, music. Make sure that you have around 1GB of free storage on your internal drive.
Already did that, no luck
Well, after a while trying I noticed that CM Recovery failed formating /data partition, so.. tried re-installing CWM recovery and starting all again. All working now. Someone mark thread as solved.

TWRP 3.2.X Help

Does TWRP 3.2 not work with Nougat ROMs? I'm trying to do a clean install of a my own custom build of Lineage 14.1 and when I do a full wipe in the latest version of TWRP, I can no longer access internal storage with MTP (the phone shows up on my PC, but when I click into it, the internal storage doesn't show any space available and I can't transfer anything to it). To bypass this, I installed the last Nougat factory image and did a partial wipe, but then none of my Nougat ROMs will install (error code 7, or just an error with no code at all).

Most stuff doesn't work (Probably because of Internal Storage wipe?)

So i recently wanted to use my old Samsung A5 2016 and flashed LOS on it. There are not official ones so i toke one randomly from the internet (LOS 17.1). It worked fine but one app required google so i flashed GApps on it, but this also doesn't worked so i wanted to remove the GApps with a backup but i forgot to make one so i just installed a new version of LOS but now stuff like camera and storage doesn't work anymore.
I tried
- LOS17.1
- LOS 18.1
- LOS 19.1
I think its because i accidentally wiped the internal storage in TWRP and now it doesn't have the specific folder and stuff anymore.
I hope someone knows how to fix it
So i fixed it
https://appuals.com/how-to-fix-twrp-unable-to-mount-storage-internal-storage-0mb/
I reformatted the file system to Ext2 and then back to Ext4
