Yes we are getting hundreds of e-mails like this!
Shipments should begin Thursday – there is however a massive number of orders to process
Stock may be split on the Thursday and then next week, we will begin shipping as soon as they arrive and expect to ship all back orders in the next 5-8 days

Your Clove Order for an HTC Desire
We are pleased to say that the first stock of HTC Desire should arrive late afternoon on the 7th and begin shipping on the 8th April. We will be processing orders in date order.
We are told that within the first week we will receive enough stock to be able to fulfil all outstanding orders, which will ship over the next 4-10 days.
If any of this information changes we will contact you. If we need further information to complete your order we shall also contact you.
We are receiving a very large number of emails, telephone and tracker enquiries for information on orders for HTC Desire. At present the admin team are having to spend a huge amount of time dealing with these requests, which is affecting their ability to actually process the orders for shipping. Therefore, can we request that you please refrain from requesting such updates so we can ship your order as soon as possible. You will receive your tracking number by email on the day your order ships.

as title says.they told me 11th April

same here, told me on the phone the 7th but my email confirmation says the 11th.

Also the 11th for my order with dialaphone. Seems like everyone got the same date. Still if it comes sooner then that's great.

Mine says 11th too, shows credit check passed. They've also taken payment for the handset.

this is mainly due to bank holiday weekends ofcourse. Never mind few days more will not kill you.

11th for me as well on the Vodafone contract. Don't mind waiting a few extra days but would be nice to get it before Easter holidays, doubt that will happen!

It may possibly come earlier.
This late date might be for the stats as proof they have 'exceeded customers' expectations' by delivering earlier than promised. Who knows, it may have a 'stretch target' to exceed delivery times to qualify for a bonus.
On the other hand, they might be telling the truth

They told me the 12th on Twitter as well, but all our order pages say the 11th.
Think they are simply covering their backs in case of holiday delays.

couldnt confirm if they were sending it earlier than the 11th and also wouldnt confirm what headphones will be in the box
she was a bit rude, im guessing shes been pestered for information off of us

thanks! i feel better now since i can't pay until then. i was already planning to pay extra for next day shipping. it stills says pre-order on Negri Electronics, so it's probably the same date for them.

They have probably been given a script and their calls will be listened to and QC'd to check they stick to it. I suspect the first we will hear if its an earlier date is an email saying its shipping.

so, after paying vodafone to bring my commitment date earlyer so i can upgrade, i went through dialaphone purely because voda was asking far too much,
so i went for a white one x voda upgrade

I ordered my One X through Dialaphone almost 2 weeks ago now, I did call and speak to a gent just before ordering and he said they where due them in on the 7th, which if your not aware is Good Friday, if this is true then they probably won't ship till the following Tuesday after Easter Monday. That would make delivery date the 11th which is what everyone's order probably does say!
I live in hope that they may come in a day earlier and MAYBE come on the Friday/Saturday but it is unlikely so I am just banking on the 11th, itll be far less disppointing that way

I don't know why companies like HTC choose such a stupid time to release handsets. They could have chose any week, instead they choose Easter week. So annoying, lol.
But you are right, all these conspiracy theories about the phones being shipped late due to branding are probably all a load of crap. It's just the lack of days available to deliver due to the holidays that is causing the delays.
It's still not to say obviously that some phones could be branded, but lets hope not.

Yes I have ordered from their E-Store. Processing won't happen till monday if you ordered on Saturday. It'll also ship on monday. Check your spam folder JIC they sent you a tracking number.

Even i had ordered this phone from Samsung estore on 27 September 2012. Till now they are saying me that it is still not processed from banglore. Upon that, once it will be processed, it will take another 5 to 7 days to reach at my place. This totally sucks man..
I have had enough of the patience man.. They should have mentioned their before if they are going to ship it after a decade or so...

Didn't know that. So far whenever I ordered something it has been relatively quick. Though the free ground shipping adds like almost 1 week to shipping time. I live in Hawaii so it makes sense lol.

Ordered a N5X with 2 day shipping. Anyone know how these will be shipped? UPS? FedEx? Signature required?

I knew there would be a shipping thread eventually.
Anyhow, I accidentally sent mine to the wrong state, parents address, when I talked to support they said I couldn't change the address and that I'd have to cancel the order or wait till I got a tracking number and see if I could get UPS to change it.
So it sounds like UPS but it might just have been him using UPS as an example.

I wish Google would pull a Samsung or Apple. Preorder this week, release next week
Preordered Carbon, got est of Oct 23-27. Canceled and went to preorder the Ice color. Est is now Oct 30-Nov 3. I am hoping it's sooner

I wonder if the demand will be high... Maybe they will only make enough to create a shortage...

Question Canadian waitlist/pre-booking - How quickly is it moving?

I did see the general waitlist section to get some idea about this, but since I found nothing there I thought of starting a new thread.
I placed an order on August 26 during the Canadian unboxing (is this what it was called?) event. I thought they'll offer some added incentive(s) during the event, so I waited. While I did get an additional discount by waiting, the customer service is now claiming it'll be at least 5-6 weeks before the product is shipped. Is this a general response from them or is it ACTUALLY taking a month and a half for Samsung to ship the device?
The reason I'm asking this is I'll probably cancel my order and get one from Amazon which is delivering in a couple of days. I'll lose out on all the pre-launch benefits, but patience isn't my strongest suit

Hi! Yes directly from Samsung Canada. I placed two different orders - one for Fold 4 and Watch 5 and a second one for a grip case. The grip case is stuck in "Preparing for Dispatch" and the Fold 4 order is stuck in "Processing".

Interesting. Which color and what storage did you pick? I went with 512GB Black.
Maybe the other colors are in short supply. That's usually the issue. They make tons of black ones, as that's what all the carriers usually order.
PS. It's a great device. The little bit of extra width to the cover display (over the Fold 3) makes so much difference in usability.
Battery life is also excellent, and it doesn't randomly get as hot as a toaster like my S22U did.

I went with the Grey-Green one. I was thinking strategically and was leaning towards the black one because of the same logic that you mentioned, but I gave in and went with the grey-green one as I personally think it looks great. Then again I honestly don't think it'll make a difference to me as my phone is always inside a case!
I will wait for another day or two and then go for the black one if I don't see any movement on my current order. I've been hearing too many awesome things to wait for 5-6 weeks!

Just adding to the thread. I order a grey green 512 on August 23rd, Confirmation on the 24th that my order was accepted.
There was no 4-5 week wait period when I ordered. It typically tells you when you look at the cart what the wait time will be.
My order has been stuck at processing ever since. I called Samsung last night after have 3 live chat's with them where they all gave me different information.
Basically, I've been told that my order is stuck in processing because there is a 4-5 week wait now. I tried explaining to them that when I ordered, there was no such wait indicated. For sure there is now, but I bought and was confirmed before the preorder ended on Aug 26th.
So I have an open ticket where they are supposed to get back to me with an exact shipping date. Should have an answer today or tomorrow.
This whole purchase from Samsung online has been a total nightmare.

This pretty much captures my experience. I have received the following responses from the live chat reps:
1. There's a wait of 5-6 weeks.
2. The 5-6 weeks wait is only for the "Samsung Store Exclusive" colours of the Fold and my order will be shipped by this weekend.
3. My order is taking a while since the Watch 5 I've ordered is a bespoke model, so it'll take 3-4 weeks and the Fold will be shipped by this weekend.
I've received these 3 answers from 4 different reps since today morning. I don't believe a word that's coming from them any more. I'll wait till this weekend and raise a ticket if nothing moves by then.
I'm curious, which colour of the Fold did you order?

Ah my bad. Missed the very first line!
This is what I'm considering to do. I'll wait till the weekend and if nothing moves then I'll place a second order, this time for the black one. If the second order moves, I'll cancel the first one. If the second also stays stuck then I'll stick with the first order.

Update: I lost my patience with these guys last night and I placed the second order. It's already moved to "Preparing for Dispatch", so I cancelled the original order today morning. I went for the black Fold this time.
