Thanks bro.But which versions?
Would also be interested in this. I run viper 2.7 but I have no idea which presets to run.
It seems that viper4a fx legacy works stable for me.I was using other versions that wasn't stable. It has very good sound though!!there is an app call xtreme music on playstore, that has maaany options inside. But to be honest,I never saw any difference in sound.

Never had any problems with viper stability personally. I run EU MIUI rom with magisk just cant find any decent sound processing presets. Especially under viper 2.7 it seems the old presets are no longer compatible.
The best presets are created with our ears related to our earphones [emoji6]
Unfortunately again viper stopped working.Any fix?

I use my dock a lot but I'm not a fan of the docking screen. I'd like to make the clock much bigger and get rid of the music album image, just leaving the music controls. Any idea of how I could go about doing this?
this is mostly what I'm talking about.

I do not believe you can change what is on this screen. WYSIWYG
is it possible? yes
but you would to heavily modify the layout of it by digging through many xml and smali files....which requires a lot of skill, that the average user wouldnt have (heck i wouldnt even know where to begin)

its an actual app (htcbeatsnotify.apk) and it only works with "real" beats, not that port
So, what's the idea to have a notification of beats audio if u do not hold the app?

beats audio is way overrated imo in general
however it will never work properly (or at least optimally) without it being supported in the kernel and the framework (as well as using beats headphones)
those mods for universal beats are mostly for show and may change the sound you hear from your speaker/headphones, but its not true beats sorry
i wouldnt worry about the notification icon in the status bar
First of all, this isn't a system mod!
I have found the suitable EQ settings - which resemble the 'Beats' sound in Poweramp - on another forum and I'm going to post them here:

The finder of this has used an older version of Poweramp but you could enter these settings into the newest one. The author has also enabled Dolby surround in his Desire HD. So we can't fully imitate the Beats audio since our Wildfire S doesn't support Dolby, but this is the closest we have come so far. I have tested about 10 different songs with my HTC connected to my Kenwood stereo and I have to say the original 'Beats' sound is still a tiny bit deeper and more direct (Stock player vs. Poweramp; I have flashed the latest patch provided by einstein.frat). Nevertheless you must really listen for a difference to notice one.
One last thing: disable the 'Limit' option in Poweramp's EQ and set the 'Bass' and 'Treble' knobs as shown. Actually you could play with them a little bit, but don't exceed the 1/2 mark (the position of the knob's mark pointing upwards). You could leave the 'Tone' setting on, it doesn't really matter.
Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing.
There is a Stereo X for Poweramp ver 2.0.5.
So, what's the setting for this?
Thanks. Cool EQ.
can we use this in dsp eqalizer ?

OMG. What a question. Just try it. It is only EQ setting.
Thanks for sharing. This EQ settings works good for me with Beats headphones
o waw @[email protected]
man,, first of all,, you should consider not everybody has the same earphone/headphone/headset or whatever speaker like you have,, since it will make a really huge difference.
You can ask for this setting to be sent to some other server eg google drive, or for where to download it from?

Hey all, I have noticed a trend on both my GS2 and now my GS3, it would appear that certain apps would have low mic volume after installing clean builds of either CM9 or now CM10.
Does anyone know if a fix or has anyone else encountered this specific issue?
Again, my mic is just fine, I even went back to a TouchWIZ based ROM to confirm this, it would appear that in CM ROMs for some 3rd party apps, in this case Voxer, that the mic is turned down extremely low.
And now the program will only produce audio via the earpiece with the MIUI ROMs, the mic is also EXTREMELY low. Does anyone have advice?
i was just about to post this! what's going on?
I'm really surprised by all the ppl that flash a ROM without reading through a thread...CM has disabled one mic, hence the audio being low. All other AOSP ROMs are based on CM, which is why they have the problem. There is no fix that I've seen as of right now. Either run a CM based ROM and have the problem or flash back to a TW ROM.

Quick question..currently on JV4 which has an updated viper fx/hifi apk, how would i integrate Xplosion Audio Mod into this rom while keeping the original setup?? could i have both? (cause it would have #2 separate viper apk's)/???

I'm not exactly positive, but in my experience... having two audio mods usually don't mesh well..
Make a nandroid a try it...
FYI... this question should have been asked in the noob friendly Q & A thread...
Thanks...

You have a few steps to take.
First make sure that you have the subfolder on your SD card with all of the IRS and corresponding wav files that allow the convolver feature to function. Check Stryke's thread in the themes and apps subforum for those files, and throw those on your card if not included with JV4 (I don't recall if they are or not, so this is a precautionary step).
Second, do as has been mentioned, using a root explorer, delete all Viper4android apps from system or preload, then reboot.
Now reboot to recovery, and flash Ryan's awesomely loud and clear, kidney rattling sound mod.
And please, enjoy the two sound settings the man has given you, extremely loud and silence. It's perfect. Trust me. Oh, and make certain to annoy as many as possible with this mighty gift that's been bequeathed. It's just plain wrong to have this and not use it often, around as many people as possible.

Hello.
I have installed the AOSP based ArrowOS and CrDroid roms and the audio lag on my bluetooth earbuds is considerable. According to the Audio Checker app, the latency is 244 ms, but in reality the latency has to be close to a second, especially when I'm using the Moonlight Game Streaming app.

However, in Miui or Xiaomi EU the latency is imperceptible. Audio Checker shows 80 ms of latency in these roms and in practice it is the same, I have even played Resident Evil 8 with bluetooth headphones and with a kishi connected to the mobile transmitting from my computer. The experience is good considering I'm using $30 Tozo T12 headphones.
As you can see in the attached images, in the miui based roms the audio buffer size is smaller than in the Aosp roms, at least that is what the Audio Checker app shows. So is it possible to modify some system file (I have root access) on those AOSP based roms to reduce bluetooth audio latency?
What Bluetooth Audio Codec is used on both? AptX? SBC?
The Codec makes a huge difference in the Sound Lag (and Sound Quality)
Ideally use AptX, if supported by the headphone

It's showing 240ms for all codecs. SBC, aptx, aptx-HD, LDAC

The app was last updated 7 years ago. I wouldn't trust its values too much..
But I've heard of other people complaining about significant Bluetooth Audio Delay in AOSP ROMs, compared to MIUI...
But does your Bluetooth headphone support AptX? You might be able to enable this in Bluetooth device settings.
Could try asking their respective Telegram Groups...
