I use that same anker charger and it works the same as the original turbopower.
Also, any good micro-usb cable will work also. Some old cables may or may not work.

actually for the g5 and g5 plus it is only QC 2.0 but QC is backwards compatible and 3.0 will also work

That is correct. My mistake.
The point I was trying to make is that turbopower is not something specific to Motorola, just an industry standard in disguise.

Does anyone have a Quick Charge 2.0 wall charger in hand to confirm it charges with TurboPower? If yes, what is the model #?
I rather spend less money on a Quick Charge 2.0 wall charger than a 3.0 since the use case is to charge at the office. Ex. $10 for the SPN5864B

While the lock screen did not show the words fastcharge or turbocharge; AccuBattery did show the night and day difference. Screen caps of the old 463 millamps (mA) vs new SPN5864A charger 1989 mA pasted below.

Any Samsung charger for one of their last 3 or 4 flagships should work just fine. I literally have a bag of Samsung chargers from the S5 and S7 that all have the same ratings and work to Turbo charge the G5 Plus just fine. I use the Samsung charger at home and leave the Turbo Charger at the office.

I have a Asus Zenfone 2 18w charger (9v 2a, 5v 2a) and turbopower works perfectly when charging the G5 plus with it (got around 2400mah readings on Ampere app). Just in case anyone has one laying around, it's an option.

I have a Tronsmart 5 port desk charger and a one port mini car charger, both with QC 2.0, both charge stupidly fast, both are awesome (just now, like half an hour ago, I plugged in my phone. at 14%, been watching YouTube all the time at full brightness, 60% charge).
I can add links to the chargers if someone wants, I'm just too lazy to do it right now.

The Samsung adaptive fast charging brick works for me

Here's the specs on my Huawei MateBook X Pro 65w intelligent charger.
I tried it on my Note 10+ and the 25w charger that came with the phone actually charges faster.

There was another post. If you read the specs on the samsung charger it's 4.5A/10V, so you need a 4.5A charger to even come close

Wireless charging issues

My wife has a LETSCOM wireless charger, that she uses without issue with her Pixel 3. It works intermittently with my Pixel 5, and I can't work out why. Often, when I put my P5 on it, the charger flashes red/blue - according to the user guide, this is "overcurrent protection". If I reboot the P5 or unplug / replug in the charger, the charger stays blue, charges the P5 with no issues. More often than not, I get the "overcurrent" issue though. I've plugged the charger into my P5 charger, using the P5 USB cable. Any thoughts?

FWIW I have an Anker wireless 10W Fast-Charging PowerWave Pad and while it fast charges other phones (S10e, and other Samsung phones).
I tried it with the Pixel 5 and it says "charging slowly". A pity really as I think it's one of the best reasonable wireless chargers out there.

Are you using the same wall plug when trying different devices on it? For the Pixel 5 to fast charge, your wall plug needs to be 9V/2A at least 18W and the pad needs to support or to be within spec of the Qi 15W Extended Power Profile, which should then allow it to fast charge on your pad at 10W. If its under 18W wall plug or only say 5V/2A, then it wont fast wireless charge the Pixel 5 due to that 15W EPP afaik :good:
Also, the Pixel 5 has max 12W wireless charging, but most pads will usually drop down if its a 15W pad for example, from 15W to 10W to 7W, 5W - or thereabouts, so I'm not sure we'll get anything above 10W wireless unless its a specific 12W pad. From my understanding at least

ah I see, so this device is QuickCharge 3, however it does not support Qualcomm's Extended Power Profile by the looks of it, so it wont fast charge any of the Pixel devices, they require EPP standard and for 10W wireless charging on the pixel 5, it must be at least 18W 9V/2A + minimum 15W EPP.
The PowerWave Pad itself looks to only use 10W Fast Charging when using a 9V/2A wall plug (which is fine for Samsung devices using QC2 or 3), however, it won't fast charge the Pixel in the same way without being certified for Qualcomm Extended Power Profile. So your Pixel will only charge at 5W on it unfortunately.

You just need a PD 3.0 (or higher version) compatible charger that can do 30w or more. The rest matters not, it's an industrial standard.

Part of me wants to be fancy and get the pixel stand 2nd gen, but in all honesty I don't think I'm that fussed about having all the exclusive features like gallery showing pictures etc so to be fair I may just get a standard wireless charger, but even then I'm not that fussed charging it wirelessly, I think I just like the concept of standing it up lol

I bought an extra (already got one) original 45W charger. I know it's overkill and a rip off, but whatever. At least it will charge just about anything USB Type-C, right?

Don't know yet, but hopefully we can test it out soon...

30W and 50W WARP wireless charging is only for OnePlus phones. The OnePlus 30W wireless charger does max. Qi charge at 10W, and the OnePlus 50W wireless charger does max. Qi charge at 15W.
The Pixel phones are locked at max. Qi charge of 12W with any wireless charger other than Google's wireless charger.
That's no where near the 23W capability from Google wireless charger.

I believe Samsung chargers use the PD standard and should deliver a fast charge.

Any PD charger of at least 30W will give you the max charge speed. I doubt there will be a big difference using the 18W Pixel chargers from older phones. I'll be using a 10W wireless charging pad I got on Amazon a couple years ago that is connected to an 18W Pixel charger. It will charge overnight so how long it takes doesn't matter. I use this charger for my Pixelbook. It has 2 PD ports and a usb-a port. It will work for the new Pixels and does super fast charging for the new Samsung phones. A phone will only draw as much power as it is rated for so the 65W rating won't hurt your phone. It would charge 2 Pixel 6's at the same time at 30W.

I can't confirm, but I'm 99% sure they will not charge at 30w. OnePlus does 5V at 6A to get 30W. This is not a PD standard. At best you'll get 5V3A so 15W.

I have this charger https://zendure.com/products/superport-s3 it's a dual PD 65W charger and it still charges my Pixel6P at a ridiculously slow pace. Even with adaptive charging off. It's also a USB 3.0 charger that charges all my other devices very fast except for my P6P so there has to be something more to it IMHO.
EDIT: According to this article https://www.androidauthority.com/best-google-pixel-6-chargers-3041818/ There are 3 standards required USB 3.0, PD and PPS mine doesn't appear to have the latter so maybe that's why.

It can't be any PD 3.0. It has to support PPS protocol. Most charges that don't explicitly state that they support are not good (for P6/P6P 30W charging). For example this anker one is PD3.0 PPS one.

Make sure it supports PPS.
I got a GaN one with PPS support up to 65W for 30€ on Amazon.

It's nice the pixel 6 tells you whether your connection is a fast or slow charge. I picked up a $16 PD PPS charger at AMZN and the P6P shows it is fast charging. The AMZN listing showed it as iphone 13 series compatible but no mention of the Pixel 6 line.

Because to some people only Apple exists and marketing material MUST mention Apple. All other OEMs are an afterthought.
Luckily, all other OEMs also aren't Apple, hence they tend to prefer standards over proprietary crap, so 99% of the time you can assume that accessories will work anyway.

Question S22+ Super fast charging voltage and current

I bought my S22+ 3 months ago and wasn't bothered at all that it comes without a charger since I have a 65W Lenovo charger at home for my laptop and a Xiaomi Mi Powerbank 3 Pro 45W, both PD compliant. I was very dissapointed to find out that both of them trigger only "Fast Charging" which takes 2 hours for a full charge. As far as I know, Samsung uses term "Super Fast" for both 25 and 45W so those devices are charging with less than 20W. My first thoughts were that greedy Samsung uses some proprietary protocol to force you to buy their utterly expensive chargers. But I was surprised yesterday when I connected my phone to another Lenovo 65W charger at my workplace to find out that it triggered "Super Fast Charging" and charged my phone with the speed of 120 %/h according to AccuBattery.
So now I'm confused and decided to find out what are the requirements from a charger to trigger it's Super Fast Charging. All my three chargers are PD compliant and none of those support the PPS, only PD. Here are the voltages and currents on the output. Only the green one triggers SFC, and Samsung's of course (I was too lazy to put the green color).

Looking at the Lenovo ones, things make some sense. The bottom one has only 2A at the 9V output so it could be that Samsung is using 9V which provides 27W (enough to trigger SFC) on the top one, and only 18W at the bottom one. But when we look at the powerbank, it also has 3A which should provide 27W and trigger SFC although it doesn't. The difference between a working Lenovo charger and a powebank is on the 20V rail. But still, powebank provides 40W on the 20V rail, more than enough to trigger SFC. Looking at the original Samsung 25W charger, it has only 5V and 9V rail and my PoweBank meets all those requirements, yet it doesn't trigger SFC.
Then I stumbled upon this article where it says that Samsung uses 10-11 V voltage to prevent extensive heats. It also says that, if the charger doesn't support PPS and doesn't provide this voltage, it will negotiate the next close one. This makes perfect sense with the working Lenovo charger - it probably negotiates 9V with 3A which gives 27W. The other Lenovo will again work on 9V but only 2A. But the Powebank doesn't fit into the story. In it's case, it can negotiate either 9V or 12V which are close, and for both of them it can provide 3A which would be 27W or 36W. But why it's not working!? Also Sammy's original 45W charger provides only 3A on 9V so it needs either the 15 or the 20V rail to reach 45W.
