GPS Navigator Quick Patch(Multi-language)

actully, it is a 50kB tiny software once came with official rom......working on wm6.
it have only a simple dialog. Auto-select Multi-language.(i see some resouse in Ita, Ger... ...)
Function:it downloads a 3-days global sattelites position data into your mobile, (use GPRS about 1kb), then in next 3 days, the navigator software(like tomtom) will get sattelites signal in 5 seconds!!! no matter how you shutdown or reboot.
i have no idea how it works, but it really works wonderful !!
After data downloaded, it can be exit (the data will still working), so it won't occupy any memory.
as i said in my other threads, my english sucks, and maybe something i am posting is a ages-old-news to others, but please dont laugh at me

Can you please clarify from which "official" WM6 rom you took that out from?
Hope you are not talking about MIO A701 and it wasn't placebo effect

it is from a Dopod (oem from HTC) simplify chinese and China Mobile Company oem software wm5 rom. Should exist in some other language rom but so far no further infomation about souce.Delivered too many times before i get it.
nothing Copyright&About info in this software, but it is very well designed and someone spend lots of time to make it good and with so many languages. although it is old, the server which it gets data from is still working fast and the satellite position data is uptodate every hour. so i guess it must come from something big, like HTC company or a global orgnization.
it is ok for you to doubt its effect (because i did too)
For example, if you usually need about 2 minutes to let navigator working after a cold-reboot. Install this software and update once, then do as many reboot as you want, however the navigator will take only 5 seconds to get satellites, except you are staying in house or you run the navigator after more than 3 days from you last update.
the compare result should be obvious, But i am glad if u tell me it is not working on yours, cause i cant figure out how it working.

no problem to install the log on my trinity, but the download of the satellite base is impossible by GPRS or wifi !

does it download data via HSDPA?

Just tried this on my Trinity. Installs fine and downloads ephemeris data via ActiveSync fine but doesn’t appear to decrease TTFF…
There’s been plenty of banter around why A-GPS (whether it’s from your carrier or pre-downloaded) won’t work with the Trinity driver for the GPSOne QualComm chip, but I thought I would try anyway. Love to be proven wrong

Hi,i think like quickgps that is a placebo effect with qualcomm

installs and downloads the ephemeris file fine.
Not sure it actually doing anything- as posted by numerous other folks.
Even so, it was a very good price ;-)

this morning i tried once more, and it takes 30 seconds, didn't works as good as yesterday. but still faster then normal.
i believe the reginal setting should be setted to real location.

for me it's work fine : I've just instal and try it with TomTom. It take 20sec to do the cold first fix. If it's a placebo it's a good one!
My usually cold first fix was in 1 or 2 min.
ps : I use UDK WM6. Gps settings : com9, 57600baud / TomTom settings : other NMEA GPS, COM9, 57600baud
My S300+ is now as fast as my old MioA701.

Does not seem to work on my Trinity here in the UK,
still takes for ever to get a fix.

Guys, I don't want to pour cold water on to your dreams - but this cab is for Mio, presumably A700/A701 that contains a SiRF-III chip. This would be useful to P3300 aka Artemis - but should have no effect on those Qualcomm chips.
If someone do get the version from Kaiser working on Trinity, I'm more than happy to know

Just installed, downloaded satellite file.
Did a very very cold fix (a few months without launching TomTom) : took 5 min to fix.
My 2 cents : definitely placebo effect

I tried to use this on my P3300 for a couple of weeks and it never worked. Gave me some error about network connection not made. I just uninstalled it and went back to using the Quick GPS Fix file that redirects the DL from different servers (unknown) from HTC's. Don't know how effective it is but it downloads at least.

Hello to all! I just put on my miuiv5 XS, everything works great, but I have a (serious) problem. I do not know why but the rom I get the money from the card! : '(I disabled the drive train and I do not pay data roaming calls, messages or internet that I have the unlimited supply. There' s another thing when I turn the phone tells me to insert the pin is in addition to the network sim pin I do divestment and everything works. I live in Italy. Is there anyone who can help me? Hi everyone, i'm new in this forum.
I am writing to you for a problem with my galaxy nexus (update to the last versione stock rom):
It often happens that during a call, it closes by itself for no reason. No error appears, nor anything in particular that you show. Only the call closes by itself. it happens again if I do a call back after a few minutes or even a few seconds, this closes.
Se provo un'altra volta la chiamata non si blocca più e continua fluida come dovrebbe, senza uno schema.
What could it be? hardware or software problem?

There is a little known SIM-card setting that tells your phone if it should prefer GSM / calls or data if it can't get both.
You might want to try to disable mobile data for some calls to check this. Call your operator if it happens more often if data is on. They can change the setting on a per SIM basis. (This setting is swapped e.g. for "data" SIMs)

Has anybody tried to use xiaomi mi band with oneplus x? I'm thinking about buying one but I don't know if all features work with both devices

I read elsewhere that mi band unlock function doesn't work with phones that are not xiaomi. Is that true?

I use the Mi Band with OnePlus X. Everything works as expected including the smart unlock function. So just go for it. Both are the best products at there prices.

I have the Mi Band and i used it with MIUI ROM on my old phone. And on my OPX with OOS, FLYME, CM 12.1 and H2OS. On OPX any ROM I could not make app notifs vibration to work. It counts steps, sleep, vibrates when you get a call and vibrates for alarm it you set it in the app. Smart lock worked i think only on CM. Maybe works in OOS too. But on the previous phone on MIUI the smart unlock was muuuch better. I had to get the band close to the phone to unlock it (under 10cm maybe less).
So in conclusion it works fine but when we get MIUI for OPX it will be slightly better.

Unlock feature with bluetooth device is the feature of the new Android itself. It's called Smart lock and it should have every android smartphone with Lollipop or higher .-)

You have to use a pin or code and after you can use smart lock ,for notification you have to launch the app and you don't have to kill it (sorry for my bed english ?)

When I go the smart lock section, I get a pattern lock which I unlock using the set pattern. After that I tap on Trusted devices, then Add trusted device but the mi band doesn't show up in the list. Am I doing it the correct way?

Well I had problem adding the Mi band to trusted devices to use the smart unlock feature.
This trick (video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXiOdXLrV_8 ), or rather a version of it which is described in one of the comments, did it for me.
1. Try pairing it with the bluetooth.
2. If it fails to detect the band, then put the phone in aeroplane mode.
3. Switch on bluetooth and try connecting the band.
4. If it gets connected, fine. Otherwise, come out of the aeroplane mode.
5. Turn bluetooth off. Turn it on again after a 20 seconds.
6. Try connecting now.
7. If it works, fine. Otherwise repeat from Step 2. OR Try other variations.

Lg G7 Think drop calls

hello everyone I have a problem with a new lg g7 that I have always kept as a backup device for my girlfriend. When her LG fell and broke, I replaced her phone with a new one. It has worked correctly for several weeks and now it does a very strange thing: the navigation works, but it does not receive calls and cannot send them. The strange thing is that the signal levels between the two phones are identical but one works and the other doesn't. I read about a similar problem on lg g7 solved by updating the google app but with mine it doesn't work. Strangely, if I put the sim in the other g7 it works but on the new one it doesn't. Just like when the problem was google's fault but I can't solve it. I also thought of trying to put a no brand firmware on the new g7 but I would not want to create problems on the phone since it is branded tim. In case of debrandization, if I put the phone back with the original firmware, does it return exactly as before or could I have some problems? Thanks and everyone and sorry if I wrote a lot.
