Whenever I charge my a50, the charger heats up quickly. Could this be because of the fast charging and is it normal? And no, I don't use my phone while its charging.

Hey, i've recently started to have issues with my S.
It sometimes de charges at quite a fast rate while on charge (this is while the screen is off also).
It doesn't show the red light while on and charging (when it does charge) and sometimes doesn't turn on while on charge while off for at least an hour.
It appears to happen when the battery is already fairly low, between 1-10% charge, the battery life is as decent as it gets with an S.
I have a feeling this probably might be the charger at fault, i've not tried any other chargers with it and i am using the charger and cable that
came with the phone.
This is not an issue of it not charging due to the cable, it charges no matter what placement.
Edit: It's now showing the red light while charging like it normally would and has fully charged again, i am going to fully charge and wipe battery stats and see what happens, i have a feeling it's because i've let the phone run down to low.
Rapid charger stopped after Nougat upgrade it shows two lighting bolts but it charge too slow it takes 4:30 hours to full charge !
I use orginal charger directly in the wall
Are you using the phone when it's charging? Fast charging stops if the screen is on.
Looks like there's a small bug for Rapid Charging after Nougat OTA.
The rapid charging is either stop working or charging at slow rate or even stop charging at 95%.
To solve:
1) While P2 is being charged using the stock Rapid/Rocket Charger, just reboot/restart P2.
So I got recently my free wireless fast charger and really like it but I have a question.
Is there a way to prevent the phone from getting charged when it's at 100%?
I want the charger to stop charging as soon it reaches a certain threshold.
It does stop charging at 100% otherwise the battery would explode
Hello. When I charge the phone, the Accubattery app recognizes 1600mA (10w) - even when the screen os turned off and in flight mode. BUT, when I reboot the phone while it's charging, it starts to charge at 2300mA (15w).
Anyone knows how I can force charge at 15w?
Thanks

check your battery settings as you can turn fast charging off.
also, your charging brick or cable may be faulty, so try another trusted/reputable or official charging brick/cable.
and if that's not it, your A50 may have a faulty charging port.
Thank you. I charge with the cable and charger brick provided by Samsung itself.
Does your phone charge normally at 15w, even with screen on?
I suspect my phone has a faulty charging port.
*Additionally, when I start Google Play Store app, the phone stops charging até 15w, and after a while It starts charging slowly again. It's so f**ed up.
Maybe your problem caused by your cable. Damaged cable can charge slower. Fast charge option takes that 9V from your charger with 1.67A (15W) but normal charge takes 5V with 2A (10W). When your phone is on, it consume some power, so the charge rate it a little bit less then 15W.
I'd just like to find out if anyone else has found that whilst charging that the watch can become a little hot?
Yes, it gets hot when charging, it's fine after a few minutes tho.
Should be fine
For me the issue was that it got hot and stopped charging. Some other people commented that it depend on power source, if charging of pixel power adaptor or charging from laptop. I didn't test with laptop yet, just limit to short charging so it doesn't get hot, because it will battery if it gets hot too often.
gets nice and warm for me, totally normal for wireless chargers, especially in devices this size. Never got so hot as to be uncomfortable to wear right after charging.
Yeah, charging with for example Samsung 25w charger, watch gets hot after 40% of charging and stopped at 90%, charged with laptop, no issues, not so hot. So it depends on charger.
