Hello. When I charge the phone, the Accubattery app recognizes 1600mA (10w) - even when the screen os turned off and in flight mode. BUT, when I reboot the phone while it's charging, it starts to charge at 2300mA (15w).
Anyone knows how I can force charge at 15w?
Thanks

check your battery settings as you can turn fast charging off.
also, your charging brick or cable may be faulty, so try another trusted/reputable or official charging brick/cable.
and if that's not it, your A50 may have a faulty charging port.
Thank you. I charge with the cable and charger brick provided by Samsung itself.
Does your phone charge normally at 15w, even with screen on?
I suspect my phone has a faulty charging port.
*Additionally, when I start Google Play Store app, the phone stops charging até 15w, and after a while It starts charging slowly again. It's so f**ed up.
Maybe your problem caused by your cable. Damaged cable can charge slower. Fast charge option takes that 9V from your charger with 1.67A (15W) but normal charge takes 5V with 2A (10W). When your phone is on, it consume some power, so the charge rate it a little bit less then 15W.

The L980 is the first phone I've owned that notified me when it was "slow charging" versus regularly charging--regularly, as in simply showing a message saying "charging has begun." I don't have a single complaint about this monster of a battery, but I'm extremely anal with and adamant about not frivolously charging my devices in order to extend the battery's longevity.
My first question is if this behavior is even necessary.... I remember reading a few years ago that lithium-ion battery cells "get weaker" each time they are plugged in to begin a new charge cycle--no matter the current battery level, from 0% to 99% full--and subsequently lose longevity. Is this even true? If so, for this phone, does changing charge state (b/t slow charging and normal charging) have the same effect on the battery as does beginning a new charge cycle?
Just wondering. So far, I've been able to make it 2 days on one full charge!!
I personally don't think it matters which mode it's in. I will say that the phone has a flag that shows you slow charging if the amperage isn't up to what the stick charger puts out. You can technically say that this phone has a" rapid charge" feature that's always activated until it senses a lower amperage.

May I know under what conditions that you will be notified it is "slow charging" versus regularly charging? I have never had that notification either when I charge it with the USB cable or the wireless charger..
I've had it say that occasionally when plugged into the USB port on my computer, or into my car charger.

I've noticed that it also matters how you put - or better - TURN your charger in the wall socket (I tried turning it 180 degrees, thus changing the polarity of the fork and voila, my phone charges fast)
The wireless charging seems more like a gimmick rather than an actual option for recharging the phone. If I leave the screen on (with a screensaver), the charging process from 70 to 100 will take forever (buh bye bed table clock), and if I use wireless charging on a car craddle (I adapted one), it doesn't supply enough power to even maintain the charge while driving with GPS + 50% Brighness + 4G.
Yes, it discharges while recharging. It's ridiculous!
When I had the G2, I remember few kernels that allowed the user to change the charging current in different scenarios, and one of them was wireless charging. I think it is limited to 1A stock, and the USB charges at 1.8A.
Is it a known issue, or is my G3 problematic? I also feel it takes a long time to recharge even on cable. My G2 used to jump easily to 60% within' minutes, from 15%. G3 seems to sip a lot, and recharges too slow.

and on a related note, sometimes when I place the phone on the wireless craddle, it says "Charging wirelessly" or "slow charge, center the phone bla bla bla". But most of the time it doesn't say anything at all, and just charges. Should I consider it slow or normal charging?
---------- After a brief test, it seems that it doesn't report if it's charging slowly or normally, horizontally. Even with screen rotation disabled, it just refuses to report. Weird.
How can I see the charging current? Is it even possible (I used to be able to do so on my Galaxy S3)?
You can use CurrentWidget: Battery Monitor from the play store to look at the charging rate.
I seem to be getting 0.7 Amps with my wireless charger which is just about okay, but yeah it will take time to charge if you have screen powered on.

It says 0mA, wirelessly or cable. What the heck?
My phone is Asus Zenfone 2 (2GB) It.s charger's specifications are - 5.2V , 1.35A. and battery - Li-Po 3000 mAh battery. When charging via the charger, it gets 100% charged.
I recently purchased Ambrane 13000mAH, P1310, Li-Po battery Power Bank with 5 V, 2.1A and 1A output ports.
When charging my Zenfone 2 via Power Bank, the charging stops sharp at 85%. Initially I thought the Power Bank might be faulty, so I drained my phone's battery to 20% and connected it to the 2.1A port again. And surprisingly it charged my phone again to 85% where again it stopped charging.
Now the functionality of the PowerBank says, when the phone is 100% charged, the PowerBank would wait for few seconds and then will automatically shut down (auto disconnect feature). So, I think at 85% my phone signals the Power Bank, that it is fully charged, and now it should stop charging it any further. However, this is just a lame assumption. But neither do I know what changes in the settings do I need to make nor do I know how to get out of this.
A thought - Can the PowerBank be faulty ? ( 1 time charged Power Bank charged my phone 2+ times to 85%, the 3rd time it reached 65%)
You may need to test with a 2nd phone. We do know that charging the phone does slow down once it hits certain levels, but I've never had an issue with the ZenPower not charging the phone all the way.
after unlocking bootloader and flashing custom rom teameos rom my charger that came with zenfone 2 doesnt work but my trusty old samsung galaxy s3 charger works fine in it not a major loss didnt even use the proper charger much anyways as the cable isnt long enough to reach to my desk or bed and my sammy one is so dont know if its just my phone being weird with it or its the unlocking bootloader custom rom flash thats caused it
Far from fast charging, the stock charger is painfully slow. I'd let my battery get down to about 20% last night, put it on charge and woke up 6 or 7 hours later and it was at 87%. I put it on an old Sony charger and it was up to 94% in a few minutes.
I noticed that on the stock charger it says "Charging on USB", while on the Sony charger it's "Charging on AC". It's like it's just not seeing the stock charger properly at all.
That's not right. Are you using the original cable too?
The stock charger is a rapid 24w charger.
I know, it makes no sense. Yes, using the original cable. I did try an alternative cable but it made no difference.
The problem seems to be caused by stock charger, use another charger.
Try steps below:
While P2 is still charging at 50% or below (using stock Rapid/Rocket charger and cable), simply restart P2 using Power button > Restart.
Thanks wzedlare, I did that of course, as I said in my original post! However it does not do rapid charge.
Thanks azeemzuhair, I'll try that tonight.
Maybe the ambient temperature is too high? I noticed slower Charing performance when the ambient temperature was too high.

I had the same problem today, I found out that the problem was the screensaver. Disabling it solved the problem
Thanks Uibon, I'd say probably not the temperature, it's winter here so the bedroom is a bit chilly! I hadn't used the phone much before putting it on charge, so I'd be thinking not. Also I switched to the Sony charger and it showed "AC", switched back to the Lenovo charger and it showed "USB".
Thanks Korax94, I don't have a screensaver enabled, so not that.
I tried the power cycle tip, didn't help. I think I'll forget about speed charging and just stick withe the Sony charger, that works well enough!
You do aware that the rapid/rocket charger and cable carries 1 year warranty. Head over to nearest LeMoto Service Centre to claim...
Thanks azeemzuhair, I'm in Australia, it's all via web as far as I can see.
I'll monitor it a bit more and see if I can pin down the issue a bit better before I call them.
Whenever I charge my a50, the charger heats up quickly. Could this be because of the fast charging and is it normal? And no, I don't use my phone while its charging.
