Hello,
where can I get the WinMob6 ROM Udate for the HTC TyTN? The HTC Support told me that there is no update available...but there was an V6 Update...
German version (if there are differences) would be great!

All the official WM6 builds are here
Edit: if you want a unofficial 6.1 cooked build, HardSPL your phone then chose a rom to flash from the many that are here, they are far better than the old WM6 buils.
Thanks.
But could yu please help me:
Please give me one good working ROM with 6.1....link and filename! There are so many files mentiones verywhere that a beginne rlike me has got some problems recognizing the rigth files;-) I don't want to loose my working HTC
Are those ROMs also german versions?????

1) download hardspl from here and flash it
2) reflash the radio of your choice
3) flash a rom
About the roms, if you want english, and want Manilla 2d, I would flash one of Joshes roms from here
There isnt many german roms.
Starbase's german M2D here
If you want an english plain rom, I would suggest CRCs here
But there are many others I haven't trired, so the best is to look around and flash.
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP A ROM FOR A LONG TIME AND AVOID STABILITY ISSUES, PLEASES FLASH A OEM ROM BETWEEN COOKED ROMS
Usethis or any oem rom
Hi!
What means "reflash the radio of your choice?????" ...stupid german can't understand the meaning of radio....

If you HardSPL it overwites your radio rom, in order to unlock it ect.
A radio rom, is the bit that controlls all the phone functions, the signal you get, and the type of connection you get (gprs/3dge/3g/H) newer isn't always better but you will want a 1.4+ radio in order to get 3G reception.
List of Radio roms.
Beware, flashing your radio can be fatal, so make sure you have enough battery, and dont disconnect your phone while your doing it.
To be safe I would recomend you do it this way

@erdenkind:

If you have the time, it might be useful if you wrote a formal howto flash your phone guide, in German, which I can tag onto the end of the FAQ, it might help some people.
Just drop me a PM if you are interested

Hallo goy2k,

I'll try to do it. Will give a feedback after weekend, because my wife and me are out of town...
@erdenkind:

Make sure you have your operators OEM rom downloaded and saved. There isn't a good noob way to just save your rom from your phone (that I know of), so reflashing is the way to go.
You can use something like pim backup to save your contacts and such.

You can dump the rom but as far as I know it doesn't produce a flashable file off the bat, but all the OEM roms are on the wiki

yea if you were to dump the rom using a tool called "grab it" you would then need to spend time decrypting the dump and then have knowlege of how to use a rom kitchen into rebuilding it back into a somewhat usable rom image.

GAMMELIGESROM
In Version 1.0:

ScruffyROM / Gammeliges ROM
Hey,
in this thread i'd like to introduce and serve you my ROM. I've worked a long time on it and i hope u like it.
I am absolutely new on this (I am already 13y old), but I wanted to create my own ROM after I've been so enthused/fascinated by Jim's ROM and Darky's ROM.
Version 1.0
- XXJPY Base
- Hardcore's Speedmod Kernel K12O 500Hz
- GTG465X Gingerbread Theme + Launcher
- Gignerbred Launcher
Also included
- SGS-Tools
- ROM-Manager
- Titanium Backup
I will retry to upload the ROM 2morrow ... sorry for that ...
Hope some of you try it and would give me some feedback.
@TubeShaped 1.sorry but i work on an englisch translation
2. i know that you can "cook" your own custon ROM at romkitchen.org but this is only a stock jpy with a half-customizable kernel and
some apps you can add
also -> if you would like to say every custom roms before like "darkys" are useless.... wrong!
screenshots, and( i´m very sorry about that!) the download link will come soon (hopefully tomorrow!)

To user the newer edify scripts u need to have the updater binary with the script.
I would not go for edify today as the documentation on it pretty weak.
Perhaps you can pm jim panse to seek his advice on the updater script. And it must be used together with the update-binary.

Last week I gave my iPad to my friend and went for my first Android experience. XOOM. I bought it from Axiom in Dubai. It was “International Retail” version.( H.6.1-38-9) . Stock 3.0.1
As I said, I had no experience in Android but XOOM lack of functionality and problems forced me to go for upgrading it.
I started my search about “What is ROOTing?”, “Idiot guide” , “ROOT for dummies” … but after a week of study and “try and error” , I have a XOOM with :
OS : HC 3.1
ROM : Tiamat 1.1 /1.4.5 (Newest version)
Recovery : Clockwork 3.2.0.0 (Newest version)
Radio : GSM Based 3G/Edge is working (with different SIM card)
SD : SD card fully functional
WiFi : NO problem at ALL ! no disconnection, no of any kind.
Here I want to share my knowledge with you, Thanks to XDA-Developer forum and its users.
Warning: Read your Motorola warranty card and if you decide to lose their support then do the Rooting/upgrading at your own risk. This is only for educational purposes.
Let's Start
1. Install SDK on your PC . Really easy.
-Put SDK path in your PC’s path . This is necessary for you if you want to use ADB commends anywhere in your PC: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\tools\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_26\bin\;C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\
-See this as well : http://www.xda-developers.com/android/adb-easy-tutorial/
2. Get to know ADB / Fastboot command . with these:
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517874
- http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/motorola-xoom-hacking-guides/6795-basic-commands-newcomers-adb.html
3. Ok . Now you are ready for going for ROOT your device . by ROOT, you can have FULL access to your device file system.
-Read this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049901 Very good help. Skip the last part about installing modules because you are going to install new one later.
After ROOT, there is an application named SUPERUSER on your XOOM. Just run it, if you see no errors, then you did your job correctly.
4. Ok. Now you should install RECOVERY . This is necessary for other steps. With it, you can install ROM and also get backup and use it in case of emergency!
-Read This : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130996 (JUST go to step 4)
-Read and use this Recovery Image: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074979 (Use Method2)
- Test if you can go to Recovery screen . Go through menus.
- Make your SD card ready . 2GB is enough. Format it with your windows and in FAT32.
- Put it inside your XOOM , Go to Recovery , and get your first backup . Thn your are ready for next step
5. Ok . In this step we are going to install 3.1 on your XOOM !.
- Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089695
- The whole things is : Get some file from your XOOM – Keep them somewhere – Install regular 3.1 US version(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074609-In this STEP 4 is VERY important to do) – Push back your own files to the device. That’s it.
EDIT : (12 - JULY - 2011) - U can now install AU version instead of US version . Much easier and safer : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089695
- In every step you can get backup in your Recovery as well
6. Last Step . Install the latest Tiamat ROM .
- Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146153
Enjoy your XOOM .

You have to pull those files after Root and before update to 3.1with ADB commands. The most important one is build.pro. If u have ur backups, restore ur phone to that stage, pull out the files and update again.
Attached u can find necessary files. These are for "International Retail Version". I've tested with 4 different SIM cards .

If you don't know how to return back to a working state if something is broken, please think twice before flashing this.
Everything seems to be working so far, if not, please report to me!
Warning: Make sure you make a backup of all your important data manually before flashing anything, making any backups or restoring. There seems to be an issue which causes a bootloop after restoring data partition at the moment.
I'm not responsible for any data loss, bricks, or whatever went wrong on your device. I can try to help you but I won't pay your RMA just because you decided to do this to your device.
Working
Everything except what's not working, see below
Not working / issues
Restoring data partition from backups will lead to boot issues on some ROMs (including OOS) if FBE-encrypted. It's not a TWRP issue but rather a side effect on how FBE works.
Download latest working image here (twrp-3.2.1-cheeseburger-127-20180106-190542-CET)
Download previous working image here (twrp-3.1.1-cheeseburger-84-20170820-194433-CEST)
While this TWRP is now very similar to codeworkx', it's a completely different source base and is independent from him.
This variant is a bit more bleeding edge and contains changes that are not available in TWRP images built from the official repositories.
If you want ultimate stability, consider using his TWRP instead.
Supported ROMs (encryption support):
OxygenOS 5.0.1
Android 8.1 ROMs (tested: halogenOS)
Please let me know in this thread whether it works for the ROM you are using.
Logs
Code:
adb pull /tmp/recovery.log
adb pull /cache/recovery/last_log
adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt
And send me the last_log file, recovery.log file as well as dmesg.txt

Btw, placeholders aren't a big thing in XDA

It's not open sourced, is it? And it's chinese.
I guess we want something working and open to anyone.
Of course this thread can be closed if anyone does it before me.

If you Need some testing... here I am.
TWRP working, have make backup and all ok for now. Only can not dimming the light in twrp.
Just got my OP5, if you need to test something, i'm in.
Unlocked bootloader, all i need is to flash a working and trusted TWRP
I installed that TWRP and when I booted straight into it, it worked. Then I just tried to reboot to recovery again, and it looks like the old recovery patched itself?! TWRP was gone

The recovery is automatically recreated from the recovery-from-boot patch which resides in your system partition. That's default behavior on stock roms.
So how do I get TWRP to stick then?
TWRP für Oneplus 5
Hallo,

Long story short: I am working on TWRP as well as halogenOS for the OnePlus 5.
To speed it up, I'll need a few experienced testers. PM me for more.
I'll use this thread to post a link to the working TWRP when it is done, and until TWRP for OP5 is official this thread should be kept alive (used as a placeholder for now).
