network locked after flashing latest firmware with odin - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

I have a sm-g960f which I bought, installed custom rom when I first got it. I used it over a year and wanted to flash back to stock to sell. After I flashed lastest pie firmware it gave network lock screen.
I reinstalled twrp and flash alexandr devbase 6.0 rom it still network locked. If I restore a efs backup, I made in twrp, it works again.
Anyway to use a twrp efs backup and apply it to stock Odin firmware?

[Q] SIM/Network Unlock on Cyanogenmod

My searching seems to be giving me mixed answers about this. Is it possible to unlock my SIM while running Cyanogenmod? Currently on 4.4 and installed using the Cyanogenmod Installer months ago when I bought the phone. I'd prefer to not have to revert to stock. I'm traveling to Sweden in just over a week and I received a code from T-Mobile to unlock it. Has anyone had any luck in this situation?
You must be on stock
I figured. Is using Odin to flash back to NB4 the correct/best way to go? I really haven't followed any development/recovery methods for my phone since I installed with the CM installer almost a year ago.
EDIT: Can I make a nandroid backup with CWM of my current ROM (Cyanogenmod 4.4), use Odin to flash back to NB4 4.4.2, unlock my SIM, and then restore back to the Cyanogenmod backup?

Yes.. Or you can also flash a touchwiz ROM, unlock, and then restore your nandroid

You mention that you haven't followed any development/recovery methods in almost a year after flashing the CM installer. If you've never updated either through Kies, Odin, or OTA... and have used nothing but custom ROMs, there is a chance you'd still be on the 4.2.2 (MDL) bootloader. It would be worth finding out before you go flashing 4.4.2 through Odin and giving yourself KNOX if you can avoid it.

[Q] Flashing firmware?

I just got my HTC One m8 after my last one was stolen. I had unlocked, flashed custom recovery, and flashed a custom ROM to my old one. But now it seems there is some firmware obstacle to flash custom recoveries now?
So far, I have unlocked my bootloader and flashed a custom recovery (TWRP). Now I would like to flash a custom ROM. I am running the stock obviously and there is an update available. I downloaded the update (which I'm assuming is this updated firmware?) and it is saved to my phone. Now, do I just flash the zip file through TWRP?
I hope you understand and thank you for your help.

no you can't flash the update with TWRP. you need stock recovery, you should have updated the phone before unlocking it
now you have to start over from scratch to take the OTA.
you need stock nandroid + stock recovery for your phone ... look here >>

How do I update N4 DE with custom recovery

Hi,
I have Note 4 DE with TWRP, rooted that came with N910VVRU1ANI1. There is newer version of software, N910VVRU1ANJ5, available here
What should I do to update the software on my phone without locking the unlocked bootloader? According to what I read here and there, I must bypass OTA updates that will "convert" my DE to stock locked phone and should use Odin and flash Stock Restore, Kernel, Modem & Recovery; am I missing something or adding something that I do not need? In what order should I flash all these? When do I wipe Dalvik/Cache?
Thanks.
doesnt matter what order just dont flash full or partial firmware or bootloader/recovery. dont know if you need a full wipe or not
i would recommend just flashing this in twrp honestly though

Just flash "stock restore" in odin, it will update everything (except bootloader) you will retain data and be on NJ5. You will then have to reflash TWRP in Odin then reroot via Chainfire auro root or by flashing super SU in TWRP. If you run into problems I would recommend reflashing via Odin, then doing a factory reset via stock recovery then you will have to redo the above. FYI the factory reset in stock recovery will wipe the internal SD so make a backup. If you flash the ROM listed above without updating to NJ5 in Odin first you may get bootloop.

Can't revert to Stock Rom

Hey guys,
so I installed CyanogenMod using TWRP on my phone but it wasn't working properly so I went back to TWRP again and wiped /data. After that I opened up SmartSwitch so that I can do an emergency recovery but that also didn't work because it said that the "GT-I9195 doesn't support Initialisation".
Then I downloaded a random stock rom for the S4 mini LTE since I don't know what the official carrier of my phone is and tried to flash it but it got stuck on "system.img.ext4".
Now I can't even reinstall CM via sideload or flash a stock rom (don't know what the official Region/Carrier code of the phone is)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Go to SamMobile download firmware for your device. Flash it via odin

Flash stock rom, downgrade and root

Hi, first time posting here. If doing it wrong sorry.
Rooted my s9+, flashed soldier rom. All ok.
Want to go back and use stock UK H3G rom [downloaded from sammobile] (to use substratum themes).
Backuped EFS
If i flash stock rom (from 9.0 to 8.0) using odin will I be able to root without waiting for bootloader to unlock and downgrading wont be a issue?
Hope you can help me with that.
Thanks!
