Hidden notification LED - Moto Z2 Play Questions & Answers

Is it known that there is a hidden notification Led just to the left of the front facing camera?

I'd say it's proximity sensor.

Nope! Was doing a forced power cycle with the phone plugged in by holding the power button and a tiny white LED flashed for a second before it rebooted

Yes, this is used as notification led by most custom roms.

[Q] Proximity Sensor Issue

I've noticed that the proximity sensor seems not to work properly anymore. The screen will turn off when near the ear during calls and turned back on right away when I took it away from my face just a little. Now it seems that the screen stays turned off for a longer period of time when taking it away from my face, I have to hit the power button to turn the screen on and sometimes multiple times. I never dropped my phone once, and my phone was never rooted with a custom rom it was all stock. Is anyone else having these issues? I have even changed the Power ON OFF Cable flex Proximity Sensor. I did a diagnostic *#*#3424#*#* P-sensor but when I cover the sensor only the lights menu turns on the screen doesn’t get black.
Thanks for help

Galaxy s6 edge blinking white LED no responses at all

This just happen a few hour ago my phone was working find and all. suddenly my phone wont responese only blinking white LED no display, cant turn off. I try holding the power button for 30 second and power+vol up and power+ vol down still blinking white led. anyone know what the issues is
Hi, did you ever fix this issue? I'm in the same boat right now

LG G3 freezes in stand by mode (black screen) and does not wake up

Hi,
I have the following problem with my G3.
When the device falls to sleep for a while, more than 1-2-3 minutes, it does not wake up with double screen touch or power button. I have to remove battery in order to start it back.
As long as it is freezed it can not receive any calls. The caller does not listen anything. Just silent.
The notification led is blinking if I have new notifιcations or stays on if I have it on charger (red or green). If I remove it from the charger and it has been freezed, the led is on (red or green).
I tested proximity sensor from hidden menu and it is OK.
My ROM is stock Marshmallow.
How can I fix this?

Note 5 with serious issues: Screen dim (Almost unreadable), battery icon center

I was given a Note 5 to fix. I do not know the history of the device. If a Android update was attempted or why it is needing to be fixed. It presented with a very dim (almost unreadable, except in completely dark room) screen. I have wiped cache and master reset the device. I can see that the powered off battery icon is center screen all the time and it is solid black. I cannot power it off via the normal power button but I can power it on. I can power it off using the power button + volume down. The touchscreen is responsive and not cracked or broken at all. The back, multi and home buttons react normally to touch and light up. When plugged into power or PC, it does charge and will show a red LED when charging and a green LED when battery is full. The sounds are normal as far as I can tell. I cannot get the screen to change when I swipe or press a center button. I was able to get a picture of a begrizzled man peering closely at the phone trying to figure out what the hell the problem is. So, softwarewise, some of it seems to be working. But, I cannot figure out the dim screen. Like I said earlier, there no cracks or even scratches in either glass, front or back. The bottom portion of the stylus is broken, but I was able to use a tiny phillips head to stick up in the open area and it working. I get a sound and vibration when it is removed and inserted.
Any ideas?

For some reason when the phone detects that the battery is under 5%, it will forcibly dim the screen until it is charged above 5% or plugged in. Maybe the phone thinks that the battery is at or below 5%. Have you tried plugging it into a power source to see if the screen lights up?

Update #1 - Somehow, without knowing how, I managed to turn on an Accessibility option for the phone to tell me what buttons or actions I have taken. Unfortunately for it is in Spanish. I guess I should have taken Spanish in high school...

Yes, I have plugged it to the wall, I have plugged it to my PC and I have wireless charged it. It seems to charge to full as the red LED turns green.

LED notification light

I noticed this morning a very small yellowish dot that blinked very quickly when I had a notification. It appeared right next to the camera (right side). I thought I was seeing something so I clicked the power button to shut off screen and touched the black screen with my finger and it blinked again real quick. Anyone else see this?
