Yes It is normal. I visited Samsung shop, and the guy there told me, this is a feature Samsung added. Anyway I do not hear it anymore. It is weird, and I am glad it is gone.
This used to happen on top Lumias in the past
It's to do with it trying to focus, it don't sound good but it fine

Is there any third party camera app which has face detection? The Ace's camera does support face detection in Smile shot mode but not in other modes. So an app which can detect the face in will be useful for capturing faces better!

Oh sorry, i cant find any more apps which have the feature, you would have thought popular apps like camera zoom fx and camera 360 would have this feature.

When I record a video it doesn't start the animation right away. It takes about 5 to 10 min to start working. Does hat happens to you? Or it starts right away?

I haven't had any calling issues at all. But only 2 days doesn't make a good sample size.
Haven't tried inline earbud mic bc I've never used one and don't like it. If it works in CM10.2 then it'll work here too.
Equalizer is avail in DSP Manager.
You don't list HDR pictures as an issue. Was that fixed somewhere that I didnt see?

Is it an issue? I haven't tried. If HDR doesn't work I'll add it as an issue. Camera seems OK and Photosphere works great.

Anyone else having issues with data dropping and taking a while to come back on especially when trying to make a call it takes about 12 seconds before the call is placed or dials out?

Focal - HDR comes out really really dark. 3rd party apps will just be blank.

The only issues I've come across so far are:
1. I have my Notification Rows transparency set to 100% but for some reason my notifications will show as 0% transparency as soon as a new notification comes through in the notification drawer although it still shows 100% in the settings. Anyone use those settings and seen this issue?
2. Torch doesn't seem to be working for me.

There's a lot of action in the CM 10.2 and Beanstalk github right now. Another build is on its way after I've tested it a bit. Right now the biggest issue is DSP Manager crashes when BT tab is activated.

Yes, the front camera is fixed focus. It's broad but it's fixed. And it's only intended to be used at arm's length.

tbh make it assumed that was on the window the front camera is low res and fills up with dirt fast i've given up trying to clean mine.

I keep hearing that the LG G8 can do portrait video but I'm unable to find that setting. Can anyone help me?
I haven't opened my G8 yet (Tmo) but just like any other phone portrait mode is just the angle you're holding your phone? Im sure you dont need a setting to rotate it to portrait or landscape. Just my thoughts anyway.

Open your camera, select portrait over the shuter button then switch to video. Works very well. [emoji106]
