I just installed the XAndroid on the TP2 storage card, and though most of the good stuff works, I am unable to receive incoming calls. How come? Any ideas? Outgoing calls works perfectly. Please help.

try rebooting, and did you search this cuz im pretty sure that others have had this problem too
also double check cdma vs gsm
I have this same problem. I can get calls, but they can't hear me.
Sent from my MSM using XDA App
yeah I rebooted several times, but still no luck. Yes, I carefully went through numerous posts, but still no luck. Thanks for the quick response. Any additional advice, let me know.

in order for your mic to work in calls you have to push vol up or vol down once in-call, i know its a pain in the ass but its what we got right now
that is commonly talked about in the main sticky thread
Known issue. Several fixes are listed. Some say messing with volume makes it work, others say flipping speakerphone on/off fixes it. Let us know.
Either way, the call voicemail in WinMo while booting Android trick always fixes this. We're working on something more permanent, but this only seems to affect GSM devices for whatever reason.

you may have to delete your data.img and start over
and did you format your sd card before putting android on it? i havent heard of this problem specifically but i know that a used sd card has caused problems
thanks guys. I will perform the formatting and then give it a shot. Let's see
any luck with reformating the card? i get the same problem. I can make calls, i get email, people can text me, but when people call me it goes straight to voicemail. i dont think this is the same problem others are talking about with the mic or speakers working during incoming calls. i cant find answers to our problem.
I had this problem two days ago. Deleting data.img worked for me. If you do that, just make sure to back up anything you don't want to lose before you do so.

there are different issues with it now as opposed to back then though generally each case has a different fix
I have the same issue. I can call, texting, and internet all work just fine. I do not receive calls. When someone calls me, it rings on their end and just goes to voicemail. My phone's, sleep indicator goes from green to orange, but no ring.
I have done a clean install, formatted sd, even did a clean install of windows mobile. It used to work fine with the older kernel, pre-10/30. Went back to them but still having the issue.
this is simple enough, our android port isnt 100% it wont be for a while, and calling wont be right for a while either, the easiest thing to do is to just avoid calls in android
when we can flash android to our phone through an nbh, that is when there will be no problems with calls
Try this:
I have had this receive calls bug myself. It is back and forth between kernel changes. I have had it when it seemed no one had this problem. Alls I can say is try this:
1. Reformat sd card using HP format tool, which can easily be found on google or searching this forum.
2. Use the rar from the website instead of the install cab. Extract it's contents to your sd card, then delete your data.img file. Use the kernel from 11/03 from the following site, http://glemsom.users.anapnea.net/android2/htc-msm-linux/
3. Now boot up XDAndroid for your 1st time. It will make a new data.img file for you. This 1st boot take about 5 minutes since it is making a new data.img file for you. Once it boots, call a friend and tell them to call you right back. You might even wanna try this in WinMo once 1st just to assure that Droid is getting everything it needs to set itself up.
Once you do this you should be golden. I have tried all kinds of stuff, but this is what worked for me. If it still doesn't fix the prob try the newest kernel from 11/11. I haven't tried it, but it may or may not work for you. Give it a shot. The whole process shouldn't take more than 20 min or so, assuming you don't have to copy a bunch of stuff from your sd card before you flash it.
Good luck, post if this fixes your problem.

I deleted it, (lost all my installed apps), and it's keepeing on freezing...
Any other idea?
Could you try new frx07?
I do have the problem that my Defy restarts just when a call comes in. Restart at least 50% of calls and receiving SMS / MMS. Unfortunately not reproducible because the device sometimes restarts , sometimes not - with the same number calling.
Addidionally the phone restarts 2 times a day just so, although it has been hours in standby or is charging.
Task Killer is installed, but without auto-kill. I also tried to uninstall all the apps, that could have been the potential cause - no change. It does not seem to be due to an app.
Does anyone have any idea why this might happen and what I could do about it?
Have you tried a different sim in the Defy?
Not yet, only have that one for the cell number. It's a pretty new SIM, you think here could be a problem?
Did you come up with any solution please? I'm having the same exact problem.
Yes. Problem was the SIM card, it was too new or of a too new generation. I got another one after I explained the problem to the provider; another sort of sim card, probably older generation does work perfectly now.
Hello together,
I recently was fiddling around with various ROMs for my Galaxy Tab 3 (GT-P5200), the 3G version. The stock ROM that came with that device is quite unbearable for me.
While looking for a good firmware to go on I got stuck with the following custom ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development-10/rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3342017
When I got a stable base I'm planning to test the newer version of that rom, LineageOS 14.1. But at the moment I want to get the device finally running smooth. I bought the Tab broken for a few bucks and repaired it.
One of the drawbacks which I have at the moment with the CM 13.0 ROM is that it doesn't default to the speakerphone (hope I name it correct) for incoming and outgoing calls. Neither for the telephone app nor for whatsapp calls. For instance, I have to activate the speaker manually when I'm calling someone in order to hear what he or she is talking. With speakerphone I mean "hands free". I hope you understand what I mean as I'm not a native speaker.
How can I make the ROM defaulting to the speakerphone. It would be nice if I could achive this without any additional apps.
I have rooted the ROM and have access to the system partition of the tablet. I guess I have to edit some configuration file. But I'm having no clue which one it could be.
Does somebody know where that file might possibly be and what I have to edit in?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Best regards
willy
Hi there.
My M9 has a strange problem where it rejects phone calls on a seemingly random basis. When I try to call the phone from a landline or another mobile it shows no sign that there's an incoming call. The phone making the call hears a ringing tone twice, and then only a beeping (like an engaged tone but with one beep longer than the other). The odd part is that it doesn't always happen. I get the occasional cold call come through, and sometimes people phoning me can get through, but at other times they can't. It seems consistent that when I'm at home in the evenings it rejects all calls. I'm sitting at home now and if I try to phone from a landline or mobile it won't get through yet the phone is showing full signal and can make calls. I've tried with WiFi and mobile data on and off and rebooting the phone to no avail. SMS messages come through fine all the time.
I've contacted my network (Virgin mobile UK) and they've issued a replacement SIM - same problem. I've tried the SIM in a Nokia and it seems to work perfectly, so I've come to the conclusion it must be the M9 causing this.
To start with I was on the stock HTC Android, and I've not got any auto-reject settings turned on (that I can see). To try and solve this I've done a factory reset via the phone, and when that didn't work I tried doing a complete wipe and installing TWRP recovery and ViperOneM9. It still rejects calls!
Anyone got any ideas? I've tried searching for this but all the posts seem to be about setting up auto rejects, or not receiving any calls at all. Are there any logs I could look at to see if the M9 is getting the call but then rejecting it without my knowledge? Any hints here would be appreciated!
TIA
Flash the stock firmware via SD card method. It seems like a cliché but it really solves most problems both software and hardware. If it doesn't then you know you have bigger issues.
I'd place a bet that you have a rogue app abusing it's call permissions but it'd take ages to find it.

Thank you. I started doing that but had some problems, so in the end I bought a new phone, and lo and behold I had the same problem as I had with the HTC, and that was when the phone was fresh out of the box before I'd installed any apps.
After a LOT of playing around with settings, I've now figured out that if I have 4G turned on when I'm at home then all calls are rejected, even if WiFi is also turned on. Forcing the phone to use 3G when I'm at home means I get calls, and if I have 4G turned on when I'm at work I get calls OK. I guess the test with the Nokia worked OK as it wasn't a 4G phone.
After repeated calls to Virgin they've finally admitted that there's a fault on the phone mast close to my house, and by the sounds of it they have a lot of open tickets for that mast. As they use EE's network they say they can't do anything until EE pull their finger out, but as I've had the issue for months I bet it won't be anytime soon. For now I'll have to switch to 4G manually whenever I'm away from home and try to remember to put it back to 3G when I get back. Not ideal but at least I know what the problem is now!
Thanks for your suggestion, even though it wouldn't have worked in this case.
Good day all.
I am looking for either an app or a rom or anything else that might work on a rooted OnePlus 5T.
I need to allow all calls on the 1st sim even unknown numbers,
but I need to allow only contact numbers on the second sim.
The reason for this request being that the second sim is being used as a standby number at night and I need to be called only by escalation contacts on this second sim.
Being on call every single night and not having to lug around a second phone would be great.
Missing important calls on SIM1 due to DoNotdesturb mode being in effect for both simcards is the reason for this post.
I am looking for a way to have Do Not desturb enabled only on the second sim. (allowing contacts only)
I know ive seen this feature on the xiaomi red note 3
Im open to any suggestions, hacks / tasker instructions/ custom dailers / custom rom recommendations / anything else ?
Thanks guys,
