This is not One X specific as had same issue on all android phones I tested.
As I never had any for longer never looked to fix it. HD2 android was for fun and Motorola defy as GPS only.
1. Is there a way to make the phone not interrupt music each time it plays notification for e-mail or any other event, more importantly is it possible to make it not stop music while playing GPS instructions?
2. Can I set the GPS to start automatically with Co-Pilot or Google navigation and shut off when I switch off the apps?
3. Is it possible to make the co-pilot work in background and after screen is turned off (still navigate and give voice directions)?
4. Is there a normal way of deleting e-mails in gmail account. If I select e-mails and click delete it downloads them again from server at next update over and over again. The only way I found how to delete it is to select the offending e-mails, move them to thrash folder then run an update. Then delete them. What gives? BTW for e-mail I only use HTC mail app.
5. Can I set the browser to always open websites in full desktop view? Even if I have desktop view option ticked some websites first open in mobile view. I then have to un-tick desktop view so it reloads and tick it again so it reloads to desktop view.
6. Is there an app that will allow me to assign long press key functions to 3 buttons at the bottom?
7. Finally is there an app that will switch off volume buttons when screen is off, always. It is the same issue as it was on HD2 and HD7 however there buttons needed some force to operate on One X a small pressure will operate volume bar. Just winding the headphone wire loosely around phone activates volume buttons.
My device is rooted and is a Tegra 3 device.
Finally a proper One X question is there a list of all pre-installed apps in the stock One X Europe device, description what they do and if it is safe to remove them?
Hey there! I Can sortoff help with a couple of these.
1. Ive experimented with this myself, and i have found that putting the phone to vibrate/silent stops the interruption nearly all the time, at worst it makes the song miss a second.
And for bloatware on your device, most is safe to remove, things such as 7digital, i dont know how to delete them, but you can disable them to make your phone run smoother.
Settings>Apps>All> Find one and tap it> uninstall
If it may cause a disturbance you get a safety warning and a caution about confirming hope this helped alittle.
JDBurnie, thx. I know how to remove bloat ware just root your device. I removed 7 digital, soundhog, few htc services I will never use and all reporting tools. I just know there is more there as there are apks there I have no idea what they link to. Like Coca service? It does not provide free coca-cola or white snow
Re point one will test, it is not a solution but workaround only sadly.
Okay man, no problem and yeh I was looking to do that myself, I've tried alot of roots but I can't seem to root my phone I follow instructions religiously and it doesn't seem to work... But disabling them will work for me good luck!

I used the method where you unlock bootloader via HTCdev.com. Especially that now you can do OTA with it quite easy. Bit of script edit on the phone and then use recovery to load it.
UCALG1 Stock Rooted with CWM touch installed, triangle away applied - counter is 0. Modded (no increasing ring, tethering allowed, cell standby calculation fix).
Today restarted after latest Google Play updates to do cleanup in ringtone list after encoding all ringtones to OGG and putting them in one place (on internal sdcard, not in /system/media).
After reboot, phone restarts slow, does not show the sdcard mounting icon and carrier icon on status bar. when tried to unlock, face unlock does not start, shows pin enter screen right away. After keying in my PIN, screen becomes totally black, just green battery sign in upper right corner. haptic buttons light up, long press on home button gives haptic feedback, but nothing changes on the screen. Off/On lights up the lock screen normally, when unlocking - same story, no face unlock camera, pin code entered - black screen.
I restored nandroid backup done right after flashing UCALG1 rooted image, setting up CWM, triangle away and updating all apps on 7/18 (exactly month ago). Phone boots smoothly, everything all right, and working. Google Play updated about 83 apps (was set to update automatically by default). Did nandroid backup to have the full picture of this state. Restarted - same story from above - black screen with green battery icon in the upper right corner.
Restored nandroid backup from 7/18 again, again everything is working. Stopped Google Play from automatically updating apps. Only updated ES File Explorer. Rebooted - everything is working.
Google Play now has 83 apps with existing updates. Afraid to start updates. Will wait to see if somebody sees same issue. I just think it might be a combination of Google Play allowing incremental updates with some flaw in update of specific application. Otherwise - no idea.
From system application updates (or applications included with ROM) or might be blamed potentially, I see:
Google Maps
Flipboard
Adobe Reader
ChatOn
Gmail
Google Play Movies
Google+
ICS (theme)
myAT&T
YouTube
Google Translate
Titanium Backup (Root)
Go Launcher Ex
Update: there is no problem with Google apps. After updating all Google apps phone restarted with no issues. Same goes for GO Launcher EX update. About 65 apps to go
Curious, I've never seen this issue. Let us know what you figure out.

Found it!!!
Latest Multiling Keyboard from Honso.
Version 0.68 just kills the phone. BTW from comments on Google Play I see confirmation same thing with exact same sympthoms happens to Galaxy Nexus S with update 0.68
Stick to older version till they will not fix. Good keyboard otherwise.

Version 0.68.2 fixes an issue. SGS III reboots normally. Great keybkard, BTW.

I don't much care for games or FB stuff but like apps that automate some of the things I do with Android, so I though I would share my favorite and hopefully you will give me some suggestions for others I don't yet know about.
AOKP Backup - Backs up my AOKP settings
RingDimmer - Auto adjust volume on my phone and vibration based on ambient noise.
SmartRotator - App specific rotator utility so that i can manage which apps I can view horizontally and or vertically
Unlock with WiFI - When I am within the range of specific WIFI signals that I picked I do not have to put in my pin to unlock the phone.
Better Wifi on/off - manages when my wifi is on.
SpeakerProximity and SpeakerPhone Ex - I recently started using speakerphone ex and it seems to work better then the other one but basically when I take the phone away from my ear it automatically go into speaker mode when I put it back towards my ear its changes to the headset speaker.
Backup to Gmail - backs up all my text messages to Gmail
Business Calendar - keeps me on schedule
MightyText - allows me to send and receive texts on my computer
ROM Toolbox Pro - lets me tweak all sorts of things
Tasker - automates just about everything
Tasker is probably the number one for me, but I put them in alphabetical order.
Screen Filter - Makes my screen super dim so I can look at it during a movie without lighting up the whole theater... also good for reading in bed.
Splashtop Remote - Can take over my computer wirelessly
SanDisk Memory - Manage the data on my SD and internal SD easily
Ringer Volume - Automatically adjusts the volume of my ringer based on the time of day and day of the week. That way I dont have to remember to turn my ringer volume back up after I get off work... it just adjusts at the time of day that I get off. Also, goes quite automatically for nighttime.
ShareGPS - Can share my GPS signal via bluetooth to other devices
Hide It Pro - Hides photos, movies, apps, etc... so that your kids/friends cant see them when they grab your phone and start looking around.
CacheMate - Clears cache with one touch
Package Buddy - Keeps track of packages you are shipping or are expecting to recieve
SwiftKey 3 - Awesome alternate keyboard
Cerberus - BEST security app. Ever. Can locate your phone via GPS, track it, send messages to whoever finds it, set it to take a picture/screenshot/video of whoever tries to use your phone with the wrong passcode, ring out loud (even when in silent mode) to find it when lost... and many more features. I even have it installed as a system app so that it cannot be deleted.
Dropsync -- I set it up when I'm charging and on wifi to sync certain folders to my Dropbox. Allows me to keep pictures, ebooks, music, synced between computer/phone/tablet, and also allows me to keep my Titanium Backup files synced to the computer in case there's any issues. I even have one folder for my phone and one for my tablet for roms, so I just download on my computer if I'm using it and then it will appear on my phone shortly (or if I download on my phone it will backup to my computer). It allows syncing of any Dropbox folder with any folder on the phone, sdcard, internal, external sd, whatever; there's also one called FolderSync which is incredibly similar that does other services as well (SugarSync, GDrive, Box, etc).
Pure Calendar Widget (Agenda) -- I've used Business Calendar, which is nice, but Pure also has the ability to display Google tasks from a variety of apps (I use GTasks) within your Agenda, combining tasks and calendar entries. Works well with just calendar entries too, of course.
Airdroid -- manage your phone via browser, install apps, copy files/music, take screenshots, a billion other things.
FlightBoard and FlightTrack -- if you ever travel by air, get these, seriously. Never need to see an airport arr/dep screen again, and can track flights mid-air to see where they are.
MediaDog -- manages SABnzbd, SickBeard, CouchPotato (v2), Headphones. If you use any of those, try MediaDog.
Wifi Analyzer -- in-depth scanning of local wifi networks, channels, frequencies, power, etc. Incredibly useful when tweaking wireless or installing, can tell the best channel quickly.
They've been mentioned, but I'll give my votes for Swiftkey and Tasker as well.
I have nearly filled my SW3 up with music and now everytime i wake the watch i get this card which needs to be swiped away before i can even read the time.
Any idea how to disable this notification. I have tried going through the blocked apps route but no idea which android service supplies this card.
thanks
I am not here to provide a solution. No idea how much percent will cause a warning, but this is not good to use such much space: just image one day your watch fail to reboot coz your sdcard is full.... I suggest u remove some music, or use lower bit mp3 instead.

what I did was
For me I reset the smartwatch 3 and let all my apps and music resync minus 5 or 6 songs. I never saw the issue until I hit the sync button via the Android Wear app. I'm not going to hit that button as I've not needed to do so in the past for anything and I'm betting so long as I don't I won't be annoyed by the same message always displaying.
Do you know if perhaps your issue showed up after you selected the sync option from the android wear app?

I have a problem with my phone today.
Actually last days my phone was quite slow so i disable some applications like google music, google movies etc... that i was not using at all...
It seems however that this affects the system files as since I have unistall the google music i got an error like "the system service is not responding". Initially i ignore it but now I cannot start my phone.
I start my phone, boots in my phone, stays on a black screen(showing only the time at the top right corner and the navigation buttons at the bottom) and then restart by itself.
I never had a backup of my phone...
I don't care about my contacts as most of the are saved in my google account however I want to save my text messages.
Is there a way to manage to start my phone without re-installing the system or wothout loosing my data?
I am really new to this so any instructions to be follow should be for dummies
Thanks for any help in advance.
