Hello,
My problem is that after updating LG G7 to Pie Whatsapp microphone stops working. It looks like that when the screen is on and i turn on speakerphone mode everything is good, but when screen fades out to black i can only hear my interlocutor, but he or she can't hear me. So that i'm forced to turn on screen settings to 'do not turn off' when i want to talk with speakerphone. Camera mode works normal, also when speakerphone is off and i use phone to normal conversation everything's good.
All permissions for Whatsapp are set to 'allow'. Does someone have similar issue?

Hi All,
Just the other day my speaker phone stopped working. I can hear the people I am calling, but the microphone doesn't seem to work. They cant' hear me. Not at all, it is like I have the phone muted-- but it is not.
Any body else with this? Any ideas, besides hard reset to try?
Thanks

There are loads of software apps that could interfere with sound, have you installed anything recently that you can remember?
have you applied any "tweaks" that you can remember.
Does it only happen when on speaker-phone or during normal calls.
It may be worth removing the back cover to make sure that nothing has interfered with the Mic Mute button on the rear of the device.
Give us some more info an I'll try to help further.
Cheers,
Beasty
Hi Beast0898
Here is a list of software that I have installed in the last 2 weeks:
CarlosP ToneManager
cRaCKwHoRe's Snooze options
merlot mToolbox
Shubaroo Contact Fix
tarkim Keyboard controller.
I had not used the speaker phone for a while. Not since I installed any of the above, so if it is a software interference, it could be any of the above. Ideas?
The mute button is not blocked. And it happens when I enter speaker phone by turning it upside down, and when enabling it with the button on the dialer.
Any ideas?
Did you get it to work? I've encountered a weird problem recently myself where suddenly all system sounds seem to stop, including dialing tones etc.. but if I let the phone go into speaker phone mode, that does work. I hang up the call and suddenly sounds are back.
It seems to only happen when I use Groovefish and/or Nitrogen, so I wonder if one of those is causing some weirdness, just haven't pinned it down yet.
if this is the same bug I had on mine, you can either toggle the speaker phone button twice or do this:-
There is an easy workaround for this problem. On your Touch Pro 2 go to the home screen. Slide to the "Settings" tab. Tap the "Menu" softkey and choose "All Settings". Tap "Personal" then "Phone". Open the "Advanced" tab and change "Reduce noise in phone calls" to "Never".

Here is a fix without turning off noise cancellation.

Hi,
I have a strange problem and I really don't know how to solve it.
The problem is related to the sound when ringing.
If I set the "sound and vibrate" checkbox in Sounds, then the phone rings and vibrate a little and then stop the sound.
The screen still show the incoming call and the caller still hear that the phone is ringing.
The ring sound sometimes stop immediately after it's starting, sometimes ring 1, 2, 3 ... times.
BUT, if I unchecked the "sound and vibrate", the phone ring normally, as long as the caller keep the call open.
Does anyone met the same strange behavior?
The ROM is stock 4.1.1 XXALIJ, rooted with CF-auto-root.
At this moment I don't have any sound manager / profile manager installed.
I tried also to clear cache from recovery, but nothing.
What could be the cause?
What can I try to make it acting as it should?
Regards,
Stefan
I hope it is not affected by any motion settings, i.e you are covering the screen with your palm or turn it over?
If you are asking if I'm covering the phone with my hand, or if I'm turning it WHEN it's ringing, the answer is NO
But if you are asking if I have these options checked in settings, the answer is YES. I have them checked.

Hello,
I have the zenfone 5z Indian variant and I have a peculiar problem. Whenever I make a call in Skype, WhatsApp or Hangouts and then hang up, then listen to music, the audio feels weird like I'm still on a call. When I press the volume buttons, it shows media volume and call volume even though I'm not on a call anymore. It's like the phone still thinks I'm on a call even after hanging up. Anyone else facing this issue? Any solution? I'm on the latest update.
I've been having an issue where if I get a phone call while using the USB headset and I go back to the home screen, the audio drops for the call, no one can hear me, I can't hear them. I have to open the phone app screen full screen and mute/unmute the call to get it back.
Has anyone seen this issue or know of a setting I might be missing?
Thanks,
Matt
The phone turn into ear mode instead of loud speaker when playing voice in whatsapp and calling. Turning screen to black. It's so annoying. I have posted this question on some fb group, many of them say is system problem, many of them also have this problem. Is that true? or anything else i can do with that?
