"WILL update" at some future time after Android 9? Because already there's discrepancies in that statement.
See post just above this one...

I checked the page you cited and read it in Google translate. This attached screenshot is the closest question and answer to what you're talking about, but it doesn't say what you say.
LG says they're working on development to try to sync new LG UX installation with OS releases -- maybe even install in advance if the OS update -- but doesn't specifically promise that for phones updating to Android 9.
Unless that was something stated verbally but not posted on that blog page, or if there's something lost in translation?
For instance I don't see the list of phones you have. On that page -- unless I'm missing something -- all I see are refences to LG V40 and V50.
The blogger won an LG V50 at that conference.

these are the answers from conference participant
"1. LG V30 Pie OS will be released in second quarter of 2019 based on Korean model.
2. The firmware update session explained that V40 onwards, including LG V30 Pie, are 'LG UX 8.0' applied.
3. V30 Oreo firmware V21s has been deployed as of today (17th). This is the Korean market firmware with some bug patches with Google security patches.
4. Currently, it is confirmed that the Pie OS of the V30 Korean model is under development of V28a. We have an update plan within the second quarter, but we can't be sure because we have an inspection process for mobile carriers in the Korean market.
5. The new LG UX is under development and is expected to be available soon. Many developers and others were thinking about changing LG UX. I hope many foreign fans love LG Mobile."
and after that question i asked about that g7, v35 didn't get latest ux and answer was,
"By the time G7 and V35 pie OS were developed, LG UX 8.0 was not fully developed. The application of UX 8.0 to the LG V40 ThinQ was also made possible by the continuous push of the SW Upgrade Center Director. So LG UX 8.0 will be applied to V30 Q9 (G7 Fit) Pie OS and others in the future.
- Answer during firmware update session"
that is all.

Not sure if I'm looking forward to this. Does UX 8.0 keep the old theme engine? The only thing Pie has is Private DNS. Everything else is just gimmick that you can add with Magisk already.

I can only tell you the (few) things i noticed on the V40
Dual App support for certain messengers (im sure that list is modable xD)
Fingerprint Gesture support (our Fingerprint sensor should support it too, theoretically, as its the same as in the pixel 2 (xl) to my knowledge)
And yeah, the usual pie stuff (rounded corners, navigation "gesture" (same as AOSP), and so on)

Any update news?

Will full kernel source be released?
Will the full AOSP source code for the version of Cyanogenmod that it ships with be released?
- If not, will the community github version of CM11/CM12 be upgraded so that it can be flashed on it from launch (or very soon after)?
Will the bootloader be unlocked (or unlock-able as with Sony/Motorola via a website)?
Will the build quality be up to scratch (very relevant given's Micromax's past record)?

If all that is promised is properly and promptly delivered and, the build quality is comparable to Moto G/E then, this might be another phone one worthy of being recommend (well...at least to those that can stomach the overly large screen size...make it 4.5-4.7" next time Yu).
I might grab one just to see for myself...
Waiting for a review,Micromax improved a lot in last 1-2 years from hardware to built quality...I need a phone with good specs and awesome developer support , for me looks doesn't matter ..... I hope we will see good developer support like nexus or flagship phones of Samsung , Sony, Motorola, LG...

Just remember, Micromax does not design or manufacture phones. It re-brands phones made by Chinese/Taiwanese manufacturers. Even the Yu Digital spinoff company idea is a copy of spinoff companies already done by Gionee (IUNI) and Oppo (OnePlus) and others.
I am more concerned to ensure a device that I buy or recommend is not locked-down and controlled by others (e.g. devices by Apple, Xiaomi, Lenovo, most older Micromax's and, some Samsungs) or a dead-end device with no future updates because custom roms aren't available. Micromax/Yu is so far promising to be as open in this regard with the Yureka as the Android One handsets have been (due to Google pressure) - i.e. by releasing kernel source, device tree, etc.
Time will tell...

No.it does'nt design any of its devices. Those people can't even design a good logo let alone mobile devices.
EVERY phone marketed by them is either chinese, french, taiwanese or from an unknown land but surely not designed by them.

Agreed, it is
Very reasonable mid-range specs, open enough device and platform plus promise of longer term company and community support (it's CM) is a nice combination. Did I forget the low price?
Instead of the fishy (*) chinesey branding (pun warning), why not choose some easily pronounced and internationalizable sanskrit word and build the brand around that? Laya, Vayu, Virya... or just buy out the Jolla startup and let them deal with it.
(*) Not that there's anything wrong with the fish...
I might buy this Phone! If my channel hits 100 $!!! Its on 80$ right now

Hopefully dev will be better than other mcrmx devices!
Headphone quality depends more on good quality headphones however they showed a pic of cyanogen equalizer (forgot its name) so positive signs there!
I juste look at the amazon Yureka page and see a "24 bit Audio" as specs, i assume it's a good thing
Wondering if that "doorstep service" would work given the previous record of after sales support of micromax!
Any thoughts people?

Huawei P9, Mate 8, and Honor 6X set to receive Oreo updates in a bit

The Huawei Honor 6X was released back in 2016 on Android Marshmallow. It received the update to Nougat a few months later and is set for one final blaze, with confirmation on Huawei's forums touting a May 2018 Oreo rollout for the device.
According to the post, the Honor 8, Honor V8, and Honor Note 8 will also receive the update to Oreo in May. A similar post also confirms that the Huawei P9, P9 Plus, and Mate 8 will also receive their Oreo updates in May.

I'm Italian and i only know English as another language, however seeing 2018 and 5 as numbers between Chinese characters, and an official announce that has been noticed on Weibo about other Huawei/Honor devices that would had received Oreo let you understand that beta tests would had place this May. In fact, 200 Chinese registered users (but the update package circulates online on some site, i saw) had started the beta tests.
Now let's see if in one month, something will be released globally for all variants.

Hopefully our Huawei watch will get this new update.
After seemingly neglecting the platform for a while, Google today announced a big redesign for Wear OS that promises a wide variety of new features and improvements. Now, we’ve been able to confirm exactly which smartwatches will be getting the update…
this update focuses in primarily on making it easier to access the Assistant, fitness data, and your notifications. Assistant now includes proactive information, Google Fit is just a single swipe away from the watchface, and notifications now appear in a “stream” rather than showing individual cards.
This redesign improves a lot of sore points Wear OS had, so for obvious reasons many users are excited to see this update roll out. Google didn’t initially provide any information on which watches would be getting the update, but we’ve since gotten the official word from big G.
In short, pretty much every Wear OS device is getting updated with this redesign. Google confirmed to us that if a watch was updated to Android Wear 2.0, it will be getting this redesign. That means popular watches including the Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro, Ticwatch E/S, Fossil Q lineup, Huawei Watch/2, and many others will all be updated with this new software.

October patch from 2017? My HW1 shows AW 2.16, Android 7.1.1 and October 2017 security patch... I'm pretty sure we are not getting the redesign, only the updated AW app, which is basically nothing.

Actually this AW app update brings the redesign. You will see soon.

So, it is a server flag. If you have the latest update you have the new interface...it is just not activated yet.
The OP. In Reddit posts explains how to get it working if you have a modded watch.

General OnePlus 2.0: Oxygen OS - Color OS merge in 2022

OnePlus’ OxygenOS is going away – and so is Oppo’s ColorOS. The code bases for the two will be joined together to create a unified operating system (which will probably have a catchy name, but that hasn’t been announced yet).

What are your thoughts on this change coming next year?
I can't find a definitive answer yet, but will the new OS be applied to current oneplus models or just new 2022 phones onwards?

It will launch on Oneplus10 model and then it will be applied to all previous supported devices (still receiving updates) when they have a version of Android 13 ready. So either very late 2022 or 2023 before older devices see this unified OS.
I think a LOT of people will make rash, early comments before they even know what the unified OS ends up being. Oneplus CEO (Pete Lau) said "OnePlus has a unique group of users, therefore we will customize the unified OS specifically for OnePlus devices to make sure it meets your expectations, for example by keeping it as clean and lightweight as before, and continuing to support unlock bootloaders." Considering those of us in the states only have 2 choices for manufacturers with unlocked bootloaders, I'm fine with all this. If I don't like their new unified OS guess what? I can replace it.

A copy/paste from Android Authority:
Next OnePlus flagship will be the first to come with a new unified OS that merges Color OS and Oxygen OS.
OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 8 series will also get the integrated operating system.
Older OnePlus phones will continue getting their promised Oxygen OS updates.

Thanks. I've also seen it where it's being said that the OnePlus 9 series is to get it before the end of this year, so I'd just like to hear something definitive.
I understood that we won't get it this year, but only after the next flagship, at some point in Q2.
This was also announced on the OnePlus blog by Pete Lau:

I agree people will be quick to judge before the final product and am happy they will remain committed to unlocked bootloader's. But there are 3 OEMs in the US market for that, since I presume 2nd you're thinking is Google, and 3rd would be Motorola actually. They make you go through additional steps but I've unlocked a Moto G Power 2021 easily and am under the impression they're all similar (though you need an unlock key not dissimilar to carrier OnePlus devices, though easier to obtain)

True, Motorola can't seem to decide what their stance is on bootloaders. I haven't looked into them in a while since they stopped trying to compete in the flagship market for a few years (I know they're returning). I used to love their devices though. Had the og Moto Droid 1 and tinkered with a few others. Also miss HTC devices of old. I would also like to see how willing they are to support a previously unlocked bootloader phone. Oneplus and Google don't seem to care too much unless you really did something crazy. Also....I try to stay away from carrier versions. US carriers are one of the things really holding us back.

Color + Oxygen = CO2
Well, internal name is "OplusOS" (found in Nord 2) but they continue to use OxygenOS

Agreed, I bought a carrier OP9 originally and realized I'd have to wait to pay off + 2 weeks to get bootloader unlocked so I returned and bought unlocked on a credit card w/ similar financing terms. Plus I wanted the green which T-Mobile didn't sell.
Motorola does unfortunately take a hard stance on "this voids your warranty" and require your SN to unlock the bl so no way around the warranty. As much as US carriers suck, they are the easiest way people can afford flagship phones, but it's not like every American needs one, we are sorely lacking good mid-range options, and it's most definitely their fault with their pricing structure and marketing tactics pushing customers to either the lowest- or highest-tier phones

They already did that with OOS and HOS. The merge made it worse and caused the data leaks. The merge pretty much killed of any remnant of Parandroid code.
Color Oxygen or Oxygen Colors
Oxygen was better...
Color OS was verry clean an slim Os when i test/use it on a HTC phone if i'm not wrong...
If the new merger brings the restrictiveness that Oppo implements, then i will be leaving OnePlus sharpish. By restrictiveness i mean the inability to unlock the bootloader and root etc....

The CEO directly said the bootloader would remain unlockable and has even been mentioned several times in this thread above.
Surprised no one's said Cologen (collagen) yet.
Coxy Lorgen.
It's 2am and I'm delirious.
Honestly, I'm indifferent. Don't know much about ColorOS to begin with. Haven't been super impressed with OOS as of late. As another said, kudos to the team for keeping the bootloader unlocked so we can flash something else.

Or CollagenOS..
And I should read the entire thread before replying..
ArthritiOS or ColonOS

Question Any updates on when this device will receive the Android 12 Update?

I'm really excited to use Android 12, but Motorola doesn't seem to care. I have heard the news that Moto phones will receive Android 12 in Feb, but there isn't any timeline.
Do you guys have any idea?

Really the only thing you can do is wait.
You can see which models are getting updates on the Moto update tracker.
Just search by codename (hanoip) or Model # (XT2135)

G60 got Android 12 in India last week.
Seems slower now. There are a few bugs around status bar. May be it needs a factory reset.
Overall it is alright.
