Hey guys, I've been looking to pick up a project treble testing/dev device and was wondering if the new onn tablets being sold by Walmart have an unlockable bootloader/are treble compatible.
They run Android 9.0 pie with a spec sheet as follows
1280 x 800 pixel display, a MediaTek MT8163 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage

Yes, Project Treble is supported but not seamless updates it's A-only. Bootloader is unlockable, commands have changed to "fastboot flashing unlock". Magisk, Riru and EdXposed work on it as well.

I decided not to buy at this point a phone with MT6580 when you can buy so many better phones with MT6737 or higher.

I got the mt6737 and I am browsing on how to root it so I can change the Lock screen shortcuts. Any info on how to root it safely?
The Nokia brand name is making waves in the smartphone world again following the arrival of the mid-range Android-toting Nokia 6.
Nokia 8 camera comparison 821 vs 835
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPi26Ov0n7s
A new video, surfacing online this week, claims the existence of a new handset that could finally give long-time Nokia fans what they’ve always wanted; a flagship Android phone to be proud of. The so-called Nokia 8 (also known as P1) has allegedly been spotted by the TotalTech YouTube channel, which says it took the images on the sly at CES 2017 and posted them without permission. We have not verified this information and, as a result of such a proclamation, we're taking this with a healthy dose of skepticism.
Specs Nokia 8 2017
There’ll be two models, both offering a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super Amoled display and a 24-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS + EIS. One of the phones would be powered by the new Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB RAM. The lesser edition would offer a Snapdragon 821 with 4GB RAM. A 12-megapixel front-facing camera is tipped by the video’s description adds, as is up to 128GB storage (expandable by microSD) and dual front-facing speakers.
what is about this
Hi,
I want to express here why I'm thinking to purchase the new Samsung Galaxy A50 Dual SIM with 6GB of RAM, instead of similar models from Xiaomi, Nokia or Motorola:
- Nokia: Why all models from this great manufacturer insists in use the hated Hybrid Dual SIM tray? If I purchase a smartphone win dual-sim and sd-card support I want to use both at time!
- Xiaomi: Why not include SD-Card slots in the medium-high models of this manufacturer? Even the flagship Galaxy S10 has it!
- Motorola: The Moto G7+ has a high price with low specifications. Why this company continues releasing the G models targetting the low part of the medium range? I've had (and do have) the models Moto G3, G4, G5+, G6+... but I feel the A50-6GB has a similar price compared with the G7+ which it surpasses by far!
My target is the medium range with price contained and Dual SIM + SDCard (no hybrid tray).
And I believe that for the year 2019 the winner is the Galaxy A50 with 6GB of RAM (discard the 4GB).
You agree with me?
What do you think about Poco F1?

Simple answer: Poco F1 has hybrid SIM-SDcard tray. So it's a no go!

Plus with treble, we don't even need much development for it, just OFFICIAL TWRP, OFFICIAL magisk and TWRP flashable Samsung's updates for a50, and we are good to go.
Poco f1 is not a good choice in 2019, mainly due to hybrid slot.

Yes agreed
Samsung displays are the best in the industry. Can't compare that with other brands.

Released.
I bought this Fusion5w104 tablet, which is based on the Emdoor emt8611 baseboard, with an mt8163 processor, and it seems really similar in specs to the BQ Aquarius m10 as well as the Acer Iconia One 10, which has the same screen size/resolution, and the same processor, the Mediatek MT8163. It has slightly less ram than the M10, 1gb instead of 2gb. Is the rom compatible or do I need to modify it to fit my device? What needs to be done to get lineage on this?
It's chip has support of it. But no one even says about if OS supports it. Can anyone confirm it has Snapdragon Sound aka AptX Lossless?

I know about chip supporting it. Question is if MIUI for Poco F5 supports it officially and can be enabled in rom. There are a lot of chips (mostly 8 gen and higher, also 888) support Snapdragon Sound, but developers didn't even do anything to make rom support it.
