Thanks. Will test it. Can you continue working on Lineage OS? Artemka has stopped working on it.
Just tested it, seems mostly fine, but the OS doesn't give you the clean and simple look (that's the point I guess).
Anyway, one bug is that the hardware navigation keys don't light up, and there is no option to get it working either.
The second thing I noticed was (not really a bug) but the security patch was Aug of 2018 :/ but I guess since its a test build, it okay.
Also changing the Accent colour changed the theme to black, so basically I could only use default accent with a white theme or, a black theme with a different accent colour. I also noticed that the black theme does not change the QS panel to black, but rather to grey.
When on dark theme, and on apps where the status bar switches to white colour, you can't see the wifi icon anymore, I noticed this when I was in the play store too.
Also, there are options such as torch, when we don't have a flashlight!
But a great attempt at the build! Thank you! And Keep up the good work!

Hey Artemka! You can update the security patch though. Anyways, you don't have a machine.
@G.S.T Can u do it? For Lineage OS 14.1, as that is the most stable with the best battery backup.

For what? Android 7.1.2 life is ended in the end of 2017. Nothing critical was fixed by LineageOS team since the last update. So, it does not have the point.

Now that the system is gradually perfect, maybe you should move to the kernel or driver and add new functions to the kernel. If possible, the Linux version is adapted for the kernel, and if it can be implemented, the perfect kernel is better.:good:

For the system, I prefer to have a better kernel and a better IO scheduler. It's better to have Android 7.12's general-purpose new feature shield kernel. Maybe its Linux version is too low to see too many features.
Nice !

Since ur already on shield blobs follow this (mostly taken from LOS 14.1 thread, not my work).
1) download TosForPSCI-0.1.zip
2) unzip TosForPSCI-0.1.zip
3) download recovery-03.11.2018
4) go to fastboot mode (power and minus button simultaneously)
5)on minimal adb and fastboot, execute command: fastboot flash tos your path to tos.img
6)then execute command: fastboot flash recovery your path to recovery-03.11.2018.img
7) reboot to new recovery(u can execute fastboot reboot holding vol+ button)
8) make full wipes system, data, cache and dalvik.
9) flash rom
10) reboot to the system
If you have questions on specific steps, a quick Google should give u the answer! I followed that guide and have no problems till date, so don't worry.
Camera is still broken? Is there any oreo/shield rom with working camera?
It is a nice ROM, i use RR for 1 year and im really glad to have 'new rom' in my mocha.
The old bug still there:
- Broken camera
- Hard to turn on after shutdown the tablet
- Sometimes cant charge when the tablet off
But its okay because i found some new things in this rom
- Smart navigation bar, in the previous rom i cant manage the actions for the button
- Its already root? Because i tried to flash SuperSU, it didnt succeed , but i have no trouble installed root access apps like Titanium Backup and greenify, the recognize my mocha as a rooted tablet
- Double tap to wake up or to lock screen
- The battery seems can stand longer than my previous rom
Thanks for all the devs who still work on this tablet development, you guys rock!

As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!
For Device specific changelogs, check the second post.
Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) and cache will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_gemini_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the firmware package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, after you've let it settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes, do not do anything else! Please let your device settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes after the first boot, otherwise the system wont boot after a reboot!
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM! Meaning, do not flash anything like Gapps, a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

Installation is a bit fiddly. Have to follow instructions and give it a time to settle. Then you get an. excellent rom.
Exposed works very well.
Great camera. Take pictures while recording video
Fingerprint works better than any other rom.
Am staying Paranoid .
Thanks dev

Hello @mauronofrio
But... Your ROMs (CM 14.1, PAC-MAN, Bliss, RR and this- SlimROM) are compatible with version Z2 or Z2_plus?
Because in the Thread write "Z2" while in the folder AndroidFileHost present only the ROM for "Z2 Plus"
I'm confused... Thanks!
z2 and z2 plus are the same phone
@Fedor917 @mauronofrio, can we re-enable long tap please? it's more useful than long press of the fingerprint/home button
separately, does slim rom support substratum/layers or use CMTE? would be great to have a z2 rom that supports substratum, since CMTE app themer engine is still quite buggy ...

The following commit tries to fix this problem:
https://github.com/SlimRoms/device_oneplus_oneplus3/commit/5d692e32436fa0617c32318238fbfa8e926ae7a1
After ROM compile, data still doesn't come back after wifi disconnect but comes on after turning airplane mode on & off. Only benefit is that you don't have to restart your device to get data on. But problem is not 100% fixed.
Note: any Dev with a complete fix for this, let me know. this is my daily driver.

hm never used anything above marshmallow for this device. Just assumed anything above MM will be unstable. Just use latest twrp - wipe system/cache/data. clean flash, all should work I guess.
I've just tried it and data is not working whether connection type I am using, but I had to go back on Cr droid:/

I've tried the air plane workaround but it didn't work out.
No I didn't downgrade but it is a good suggestion, so I should flash a twrp zui version
first the flash slim rom? knid of a pain in the ass if I don't keep the rom as a daily driver.

Its also recommend to upgrade to stock nougat first instead of flashing a nougat rom directly due to firmeware related things like baseband etc. so..

Have you managed to flash the rom with data working? Only issue I had in the past was Wi-Fi not working, fixed long ago. I'm guessing this issue has something to do with flashing rom from a Nougat base/rom (different drivers etc). In past devices i had to flash modem/bootloader for MM to get stuff working with MM Custom Roms. Not sure about about this device, never upgraded beyond MM.
If anyone tested this update & everything works let me know. If there's still issues, I'll remove the links.
Testing right now
Everything seems to be fine, flash with darkmoon kelner 4.1
Except Wifi/data but after turning on airplane mode and turning of, data works

Thanks. Are you working on the rom a or have you stopped developing it?
We would love to get some screenshots if you can.
A small video might be good too(if it's not too much to ask)
Hope the bugs clear out.

That's interesting never knew one could install ROMs with a locked bootloader. Did you have a custom recovery installed?
As for now you can try mailing Huawei. Or use DC unlocker, you might have to spend a few bucks.

Looks great man!!
Hey.
First of all thanks for Another ROM to this devices.
One question to anyone who maybe stumped on this?
All thread refer to the Bluetooth calls distorted bug, but there is one that at least on LineageOS is present: - Magisk will not work with a encrypted LG-G4 at least in LineageOS, and AICP roms with Titan Kernel from @kessaras . I suspect that will not work with any of the roms, can anyone she'd some light on this one?
So anyone who wants to go encrypted can only stay on Laos or AICP that supports Laos SU-Addon if you need root Access.
So, if it confirms can you add Magisk when encrypted to the known bugs where it applies?
Thanks and keep then coming ?

Even if we add it to known bugs , we do not develop magisk.
Someone already tried to report it to magisk thread and he grabbed logs and we checked them , but logs don't say anything. In dmesg and logcat we can clearly see everything going fine and when magisk start suddenly everything starts to die.
The magisk developer didn't even try answer to that guy.
So without a way to find the problem , we can't fix that problem.
If the magisk developer can guide you guys on how to get a log that's showing the issue and if the issue is somewhere in device tree or blobs or kernel, I will be glad to fix it.

Thanks.
I guess the developer is doing army service.
I was not complaining, Everytime a new Magisk major version cakes out I test it. So, let's wait, and LineageOS is working fine and been updated with Android monthly updates. Thanks for that.
Now if we could only buy a 3.5" Jack to a Bluetooth phone adapter, that would do the trick

Do I read the OP correctly, that I first need Nougat before I install this ROM?

please upload the new build as soon as you can, i don't know why i have problems with the 27/12 build
sometimes after it boot, booting animation > bip sound > text android > after the clock on unlock screen appears > screen bright at maximum, then black screen with a blu led and it freeze T_T
i re-downloaded rom and pico gapps 20/01/2019 .. i wipe everythings, i flashed in order rom, gapps and magisk and now it works, but even after some hours and reboot, it still slow to open everything, it not lag in menu etc.. wifi network is slow slow slow (i have a 200mbit) but 4g is fast, i can't understand which is the problem
I will re-try everything removing sd card and installing everything with usb-otg
I really like the rom style is very amazing, i hope with the next build, thank you again for your hard work
update:
i changed gapps pico with the 22/01/2019 release and now it seems it goes better (it's a little bit slow install apps: download and installation process)
it's not the first time it happened to me and with other rom that some gapp release broke something .. it seems strange or i'm just unlucky ^^ i really don't know and i'll not bore you about that, i'll continue to test and try about it
update 2:
it installed everything, a few reboot .. but it have micro freeze i notice because the seconds clock skip a lots of seconds and sometimes it shows the same seconds time :'(
update 3:
i don't know why, it's all very laggy and slow in every operations :'(

Sometime I have that lags when wanna flash any Oreo ROM.. So..
• Download MM bootloader with N modem file
• Clean wipe (System, Data, Dalvik, Cache)
• Flash MM bootloader with N modem file
• Flash DotOS 2.5 and Gapps (nano or pico recommended)
• Reboot (Don't flash Magisk!!)
• It should be lag-free now, setup your Google account
• Reboot into Twrp and flash Magisk
Try with this way..

RELEASE
This is an alternative ROM for the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, offering several privacy features.
Please report any issues you observe apart from the ones listed below. Logs are needed for me to fix anything (preferably dmesg and logcat). I can't test NFC very thoroughly, to please report your findings.
FEATURES
Signed with dev keys
Up-to-date kernel
WireGuard kernel support
DOWNLOAD
You can download the latest ROM releases here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=333224
Latest TWRP: https://dl.twrp.me/lilac/
Check the ChangeLog below for firmware requirements!
INSTALLATION
Before first install: flash and boot into TWRP, format data, reboot to recovery and wipe all internal partitions.
After above step / any subsequent dirty flashes: Boot into recovery, put the ROM, GApps and root (if needed) on sdcard and flash.
Note: There is not going to be a LOS su addon anymore. If you need root, flash a root manager of your choice. No guaranteed support from LOS for this.
When updating from previous builds, simply dirty flash the ROM, together with any GApps and/or other modifications - addon.d will not work due to currently unavailable TWRP decryption.
Recommended GApps: MindTheGapps-12.1.0
KNOWN ISSUES
Stock camera is not working anymore due to incompatibility of stock library (libimageprocessorjni.so) with new libgui
You tell me...

Hi guys, an first of all thanks for the work you've done.
Now i'm bit confuse, i'v achieved the flashing of the os correctly (or maybe not) but i didn't update the firmware (an i think it's why my sim card is not detected). Question is : where can i find the firmware update "2022-04-20 | 1.3| 47.2.A.11.228" ? On sony website i only see 2021-12-06 for xz1c.
Am i missing something ?

Hello, nice job. What TWRP version is needed ?
Very nice work! Haven't been able to test much yet, but when I picked it up just now after some days, I could see that battery drain does not seem to be an issue:
(This is not real-world usage though: wifi is on, but no SIM card, and just sleeping)

Magisk 24.3

Running this on a spare XZ1 for testing. If the camera does eventually work one day, I think ill go to ebay aand buy a new XZ1c.
Thank you for all your hard work.
I'm currently on Havoc-OS 4.16 but can i flash Lineage 19 over Havoc? How to create backup of current Havoc in TWRP if i want to get back from Lineage OS 19? What should i select when creating backup?

Hi! Do you lose the homescreen arrangement (widgets, folders..) when you do this? (Trying to see if there's an advantage to dirty flashing)

Hi, check the last pages of the 18.1 thread, there's a link there. Someone got it working, seemingly. Still an early version, slow motion mode at least doesn't work and I'm uncertain on whether there's actually an improvement in quality vs open camera (took 2 pics to compare but didn't see any difference) but, still.. It works!
Hi and thank you (also to Derfy )! Great to see LOS 19 for this thing .
Question: I dirty flashed from latest available LOS 18.1, wiped Dalvik & cache, installed the MindTheGapps package as recommended, but swiping is gone on the AOSP keyboard. I can kill the AOSP keyboard forcibly, and then swiping came back just once but immediately disappeared again. Anyone else seeing this?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
(tends to happen on first boot, no idea why)

Do you lose the homescreen arrangement (widgets, folders..) when you do this?

Maybe. I didn't use Trebuchet with LOS 18, so I can't say if the icons were in same places.
BTW guys how can I set an accent color in LOS 19?

By changing the wallpaper, it automatically chooses accent colors based on it. It's how "Material You" works.
