the 960u is mainly a US model as it uses the snapdragon processor. Other than baked in carrier apps, you shouldnt really be remiss in flashing any of them.

g960u firmwares

g960u1 firmwares
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s9/SM-G960U1/
there is a firmware downloader tool that an xda member made and its crap tons faster than what this site offers for speed, but you have to install a small program, and if youre just downloading one, it might not be necessary. But holy crap is the downloader tool faster, i have it on my home computer. Cant recall what its called off the top of my head, maybe someone can chime in with it.
EDIT: here is the downloader tool thread. Trust me when i tell you that installing this tool and figuring out how to use it is faster than waiting for the firmware to dl from the site directly

the U1 firmwares are usually debloated versions of the U firmwares. Carriers inject tons of crap into the image and installs junk like games or carrier apps that let you see your data usage etc etc, the U1 versions dont have all that garbage in them. Also, you can flash any g960u or g960u1 firmware on any g960u, they arent region specific. Can you post up your entire firmware version in a reply? I didnt see a UAE specific firmware in the listing at all. I bought a UAE Galaxy A8 and flashed a German region firmware, Russian region and UK region as well with no issues. These phones dont require a specific region firmware to accept a GSM card and change the APNs and so forth in order for them to lock on the network and function as they should

[Q] Cricket Samsung Galaxy S III Back to Stock

I'm having trouble getting my Cricket Samsung Galaxy S III back to stock. It's currently on the 4.4.2 ROM from Samobile.com, and it won't pick up the Cricket network. So that's why I'm trying to go back.
I'm using Odin v3.09, but trying to flash to 4.3 keeps failing.
Look, I know this is the Sprint version forum, but I'm at my wits' end here. You guys seem to know what you're doing; that's why you develop for Android daily.

Once on the 4.4.2 bootloader, your can NEVER Odin an older version. If it succeeded, it would've bricked your phone. You can flash any to You like, but never Odin a stock ROM earlier than 4.4.2.

Alright, I learned that the hard way. My phone works fine now on 4.4.2 for some odd reason; might be because I added the APN correctly.
Anywho, if I shouldn't use Odin, what should I use to flash with now? I wanna root 4.4.2 so I can use TriangleAway and get rid of KNOX.

You can use Odin to flash the latest Philz Touch Recovery and use its re-root in its settings. You can use Odin, you just can't every Odin anything older than ND8. You can Odin anything else that's not a stock ROM as normal.

Boot loop before and after restoring
I recently rooted/rom'd my phone I was running the Alliance ROM for about a month. Yesterday the problem began:
-Unplugged, dies then boot loops the NOTE 2 logo
--can get it to recovery just fine
---I wiped and reinstalled Alliance, still continued
Next I Odin to stock via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2780984. Odin'd ok. Runs fine as log as its plugged in.
-Still, Unplugged, dies then boot loops the NOTE 2 logo
-New issue, red x on Sprint Signal.
If it stays plugged in its fine. Seems like it could be a battery/hardware issue. Any ideas? Seems like I've seen this issue before from others. Can't find anything though.
Edit: Now reboots while plugged in, will actually boot to home screen through.

Ok, so you have SM-T311 (Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 inch, 3G version). Confirmed by the photograph.
Why are you trying to download SM-T113 (Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 inch) firmware to it?
As long as you can enter into Download mode (what is seen in the photo), you can use Odin to flash some correct firmware (e.g. TWRP, then some Android image).

You can download firmware from Samsung-Updates dot com (I can't post links ). There is none for Middle East, but there is for your device: T311XWUAMG3. It will download at low speed, but it does work.
As an alternative, you can flash TWRP via Odin, then install some alternative Android, like CM13, straight from TWRP.

The sboot.bin file is the bootloader. This file is failing to flash because you need to usb a different usb cable, a different usb port, the bootloader in the phone is newer than the bootloader in the rom you are trying to flash, the rom you are flashing is not made for the phone, or a combination of these things.
Did you try the latest ROM from sammobile.com or updato.com?

The model number in download mode is the gt-n7105?
Tried flashing with Odin 3.07? Tried with Windows 7?
yes it's gt N7105, i tried with odin 3.07 but i never tried with 7
I always flash using Odin 3.07, Win7 x64, USB 2.0 ports, and the original Samsung USB cable for any phone before the Note 4. I'm not sure if these things make a difference but it's always worked for me.
Have you ever heard of this samsung octopus software? could it be useful for my situation?

Can I install this firmware selecting "home_csc" on Odin?
I flashed it on a spanish orange device. No problems.
Anyway, oneui 4 is essentially exactly the same, same old oneui.... very not exciting

Yes
Updated yesterday, I have XEO version and it stayed that way. No problems so far, used home_csc so data stayed. As mentioned before, changes in oneui 4.0 are rather subtle, especially when not using stock samsung launcher.
I am having an interesting issue with the firmware downloaded from Frija.
I connect my Note 10+ to Odin, do the necessary steps and as soon as I click start, it finishes the upload in 2 seconds and restarts the phone. No error from Odin, nor from the phone.
Any idea what is the issues?

Maybe you need a newer Odin version?

The file you have downloaded is not the single firmware, you need to unzip it and then select respective files in Odin, from above log it seems you have selected the single file option
Carefully read flashing instructions of the same firmware on Sammobile it will help

That log is not normal. It's skipping everything due to a RQT close request. That is either a wrong firmware, issue with Bootloader or simply wrong files?
Have you checked the oding version? Is it the same as in post #1?
you can also review my post for installing 11. It still has some issues with thunderbolt. If you are updating with a USB-C to USB-C cavle you will have some issues ...
also, can you check your files... something's off there...
