Mi A2 Lite Bluetooth Audio Problems? Back To Oreo? - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi There,
Just bought my GF a Mi A2 Lite a few weeks ago and she is loving it compared to her old iPhone 5s but one major issue atm is that her bluetooth headphones seem to be giving her issues!
The audio stutters a LOT even when right next to the phone. Tried resetting the Bluetooth connection but to no avail.
I had a quick scan through the forums and seen that people recommend going back to Oreo to solve the issues.
Is there any clear guides or links on how to do this? I know my way around tech so should have any issues following a guide.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's a very annoying bug.... I have it too, but didn't find a solution
That's the reason why I downgraded to Oreo!
If you want to downgrade,
1. you must unlock the bootloader, but this will erase all of your data. So, don't forget to make a backup of your internal storage. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/guide-how-to-unlock-bootloader-official-t3885578
2. Install MiFlash and ADB on your computer: https://www.xiaomiflash.com/download/ https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
3. Download an oreo stock rom and unzip it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/fastboot-xiaomi-mi-a2-fastboot-images-t3824871
4. Boot your phone into bootloader
-> Connect your phone with your computer and enable ADB in developer settings
-> Shutdown your phone and hold Volume Down and Power-Button to boot your phone into fastboot/bootloader
5. Open the MiFlash-Tool on your computer and select the Oreo-Stock-Rom which you want to install.
6. At the bottom of the MiFlash window you must choose clean all, this will erase all of your data!
7. If your phone gets recognized from your computer and the programm, then you can hit the button flash on the top of the window
8. This procedure takes a while, so be patient.
9. If everything works, it will reboot your phone automatically.
10. Maybe you will have the bug of swapped SIMs. You must install TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/development/official-twrp-daisy-t3855396
and flash this file to fix it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4704476&stc=1&d=1550012435
11. Perfect! You downgraded to Oreo!
I hope this little guide could help you, and sorry if it's a bit complicated

If it's any consolation, I had this issue on Oreo and Pie!
I'm now upgrading to a Pixel 3a, but keeping this phone for development. Might try porting Ubuntu Touch some time. ?

Okay, that's weird ?
Maybe there was a problem with your Bluetooth headset?

If so, it was a problem with every one I tried!
I tried on a generic Bluetooth speaker, two different generations of Echo Dot, and on a current gen regular Echo.

It is channels problem. Bluetooth and WiFi are on 2.4GHz. Some frequencies are busy and it stutters. Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth on and connect your Bluetooth device. Wait 10 seconds and turn on WiFi. After this WiFi will avoid frequency where is Bluetooth device and use free frequencies.

Interesting... sounds like a pain in the ass, but I'll try this next time I get chance.
Thanks!

But it stutters also when wifi is offline. And on Android 8 I don't have this frequency-problem

You can solve by adding the the missing codecs, all the routes are still there, xiaomi removed licensed codecs

Downgrade helped as of 30.05.2019
Mi A2 lite
Bought Galaxy Buds. Stuttered and eventually lost connection.
NOTE:What comes ahead is my personal experience (with some software errors that doesnt seem to have effect on our goal) downgrading my MI A2 lite to Oreo.
Downloaded Android Oreo 9.6.11 , ADB and Fastboot, Miflash(latest from site) from links in the beginning of the thread.
Very few proper video tutorials (Indian mostlyXD).
Enabled developer options on my phone (tapping 7 times on build number). In developer options enabled allow OEM unlock and turned on usb debug mode.
Turned off phone and launched it it fastboot mode (hold "volume down" and power button simultaneously). Connect phone to PC via usb.
Open folder on PC where you installed ADB and fastboot software. Launch cmd.exe or smth. In black window type "fastboot oem unlock" Enter. The phone reboots (takes a lot of time dont be alert) and wipes data from your phone. You will see a scary message/warning (disappear s after few sec) that asks you to lock bootloader back.
NOTE: somehow my device did not ask for any confirmations for enabling unlocked bootloader.
NOTE 2: I was trying to do this whole process by video and text guides. Some ppl type commands in cmd "fastboot flashing unlock" and then "fastboot flashing unlock_critical" BUT for some reason this commands did nothing. So all I did is oem unlock command.
After OEM unlock command rebooted phone skip all phone setups and open developer mode again (if it is locked) and in dev options check if "allow oem unlock" and usb debug mode is turned on. Turn off your phone and load it in fastboot mode (volume down+power).
On PC unpack Android Oreo files. It should look like a long name folder with some .bat files and folder (avoid unpacking in place with strange name paths).
Launch MiFlash tool. NOTE: it gave me a prompt for installing drivers and after i pressed it gave an error. It is fixed by creating inside MiFlash tool folder a new folder and naming it "log". Then launch the tool again and press install drivers.
Once you are in MiFlash program there is a ling space where you can insert a file path. You need to copy a file path that leads to your unpacked Android Oreo files (the path should lead inside where the .bat files located). Paste this copied path into MiFlash path bar and press refresh button. If there is no error you can proceed by pressing in the bottom right corner a "clear all" option and in the top right "flash" button. This will install Android Oreo on your mi a2 lite.
After the process is done i had an error in MiFlash program BUT the phone reboots on its own with downgraded Android version. Turn the phone off, load it in fastboot mode, connect via usb and run in ADB folder CMD.exe and run "fastboot oem lock" command. The phone reboots, takes a while.
!!!
After it reboots immediately skip all phone setup menus especially wifi and account options and go straight in settings to unlock developer mode. In developer options TURN OFF AUTOMATIC SYSTEM UPDATES! After it you can finish phone setup process ,accounts, networks and everything else.
An Android message "update available" can pop up. To get rid of it for good simply swipe it slowly A BIT (not all the way) till you see a cog sign (options icon) and there turn of this notification.
Now you can go smoke a cigar. Android 8.1.0 Oreo installed AND it wont update automaticlly to PIE. You can use your bluetooth devices properly (or whatever problems you had).
Have a nice day. Gonna probably go buy Samsung A30. This **** is unacceptable. Pie update rolled out long time ago (Android Q is releasing in 3 months from now) and this stuff is still not fixed. Wtf

Solution
I did a simple step to fix pair
Reboot into safe mode, pair the select device, after pair reboot out the safe mode and you see the device paired.

[Q] Any other way to bypass activation screen. [Solve]

I have a big problem on my HTC Droid Incredible.
Bypassing the activation screen really irritates me and i can't turn on the USB Debugging which is the key to root and s-off my phone and to bypass the activation screen.
The procedure i did for bypassing the activation screen are: tap 4 corners, safe mode, call *228 and end call after few seconds (did this several times), cdma workshop, ##778 change the nam setting, and non of them works for me.
cmlusco member of xda told me that the best way to bypass it is to change the build.prop in any rom i'm going to flash on my phone. Then he give me this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306400 and i think this is it, but in the end still failed because i need to turn on my USB Debugging.
Please help me to bypass my Droid Incredible.
I'm here in Philippines and there is no Verizon network provider here.
I already solve this problem and I can use my Droid Incredible. Sweet!!!View the 3rd post how did i do that.

are you able to fix this?im having EXACTLY the same problem.
yup I already fix it, just follow this procedure.
1) try to enable usb debugging mode by doing this procedures.
for this,you should need wi-fi.
so,let's start
1)when the phone calls to *228 tap contacts icon, right to the "end call"
2)try to add a new contact and enter facebook or other socialnet dialog.
phone asks you to enable wifi, do this and connect your wifi network
3)next hold the search button and (via voice search) search in google "market"
4)tap to the official market page, phone asks you about opening this page, choose market app.login in the google accounts,if you need.
5)search in market "usb debug" app. install it and tap "open' in the market app
6)enable usb debugging and enjoy)
and for those who don't have a wifi connection in there home, this procedure is for you.
1. call *228 and tap the contact on the right side of end call.
2. add contact and put any information.
3. try to connect it in facebook to prompt the setting window.
4. tap setting.
5. tap search softkey and type application.
6. finally you can enable usb debugging without any problem.
thanks to ramazancik94 for giving this life saver step for enabling usb debugging mode.
2) root and s-off your phone by following this procedure root 2.3.4,downgrade,and s-off
3) if you already have CWM, rooted, and s-off your phone try to install some ROM using CWM in development section. Double check if your phone is s-off via hboot (press and hold power button and volume down), your phone is rooted if you install CWM, and find some ROM that suits your need.
4) Try to use the "end call bypass" if this method doesn't work with you this will be your last resort. Delete the phone.apk before you install the rom, to delete the phone.apk open the "blah blah blah rom.zip" and go to data> system app> find phone.apk and please don't extract the rom and delete the phone.apk or i won't work, just delete it from the zip.
Note: Deleting the phone.apk will result for disable your phone signal. So you're going to use your phone for music, game, watch some movies and wifi internet. You won't be able to use it for call, text and mobile data, and also please read it carefully so you won't **** your phone. You've been warned

All big thanks to cmlusco, ramazancik94 and tiny4579 for their help

You cant just click on the adb.exe file, it is a cmd line program. Open a cmd prompt on your pc and type " cd C:\mini-adb_inc " then type in your adb command, example " adb devices " this should show the serial number of your phone if connected to the pc and adb and drivers are setup correctly.
thnx for the reply
but this " cd C:\mini-adb_inc " seems to be invalid when im trying to enter n the command prompt window
i already tried removing those that i downloaded and download them again but still the same thing...

What makes you think the cd command didnt work, did it give an error? All cd does is change the directory to C:\mini-adb_inc where the adb file is located. It is ok if it says just adb and not adb.exe, your pc is just set to hide extensions. When you first open the cmd prompt to the left of where you type it will say something like C:\users\your_user_name\desktop >, when you type cd C:\mini-adb_inc it should go to the next line, and to the left of where you type now it should say C:\mini-adb_inc >Then type adb devices and see if a serial number comes up.
"C:\users\your_user_name\desktop" his is what i exactly saw on my laptop and when i tried enterring "c:\mini-adb_inc" a message appears say's like "incorrect path/directory"
im gonna try using another PC and hope this time it works..

You have to type " cd C:\mini-adb_inc " or what ever the path is to the adb file. here actually try this. Go to the folder where the adb file you unziped is. Then hold ctrl + shift and right click on an empty space in that folder, and select open cmd prompt here. then type in your adb command, ie adb devices.

Sorry to say, but if you cant enter hboot, or boot up to the os or recovery, then the phone is more thsn likley bricked. Unless its a battery issue. Does it vibrate at all when trying to start?

I've experience this, just a blinking orange led. What did I do was i charge it and a couple of minute the the blinking orange led stops and it become a steady orange led.
Easier way (offline)
Found what could be an easier way, I'm playing with my sister's incredible and I can get usb debugging enabled by using any of the official verizon update packages (could be a rom, but I downloaded the smallest hboot upgrade from htcdev), it appears to send some commands in usb mode that trigger the activation of usb debugging, what's funny if that if you either disconnect before it's done, or it fails, it leaves usb debugging on.
Non-sense.
EDIT: You just have to open the utility, you don't to flash or disconnect.
Such and old thread but I have a Incredible that a friend gives me and I couldn't access the market app by search function. What I did was search anything with voice commands, then a navigator window opens and change the URL to: market://details?id=usb, it opens the market app and I can install the USB debug app
Simple method, without the use of USB Debudding/rooting flashing:
Go to Emergency dialer,
Enter ##778, and press 'call'
Select 'Edit Mode'.
Password is: 000000
Select 'NAM Settings'
Make the following changes:
MDN = your 10 digit phone# (0000000000)*
MIN1 = your 7 digit phone# (0000000)
MIN2 = the area code of your phone# (000)
Press the 'back' key and go to 'HOME SID/Home NID' settings
Select 'Home SID/NID #1', and change the first value to '189' (Leave the 65535 alone).
Now press your 'menu' key
Press 'commit modifications' "button"
Phone Should reboot now.
Changing MDN using cdmaDevTerm
In some phones MDN cannot be changed, in this case you need to connect the phone to the computer as a "modem" device, and use the opensource cdmaworkshoptool / cdmaDevTerm from here:
http://code.google.com/p/cdmaworkshoptool/
Connect the tool, select manually / automatically the COMPORT for your HTC device, Read from device, Change the MDN to 0000000000 Select write
Disconnect and reboot your device.
It should now by pass the activation.

Nexus 7 2013 WiFi - WiFi won't turn on after Marshmallow upgrade - bad Mac Address

Just sideloaded the Mashmallow update from 5.1.1 to 6.0 (downloaded from Google) and the update seemed to go normally - most things work as normal. But the WiFi wouldn't turn on, and it's mac address reports as 02:00:00:00:00:00. That address I know was an issue in the M Preview as a fake address.
I didn't want to hard reset it but in the end relented and loaded a clean new version of 6.0 from Google. When it restarts the second thing it wants to do, after selecting a language, is start the WiFi so it can log on. Of course WiFI won't start, and I can't "skip" so it's stuck. I tried Bad_Boyz fromXDA, and then going back to 5.1.1, and now forward again to 6.0 - same result. I suspect the WiFi mac address has been cleared. I found a little help that if I shell into the tablet, and write the mac address into /persist/wifi/.macaddr I might move forward. I know how to do this, but I can't shell in with adb. I can talk over USB, and run fastboot. When I connect via USB the Nexus mounts (sort of - the storage folder isn't shown when the tablet is at the "Select WiFi network" stage of setup)
When I run "adb devices" - I can't see any, even though I can "fastboot reboot recovery" and the like. I'm sure bluetooth (mac address) is broken too, but I"ll fix that later.
Does anyone have any idea how I can encourage adb to talk, so that I can "adb shell"?
Safe Mode
Just so you know - I started it in safe mode, which I have done before, but anyway - and the WiFi works. Also, USB debugging is presumably switched to off on a hard reset, and I couldn't log in to enable it without working WiFi. Suddenly my mac address is back. Don't really know if safe mode is the answer but it's worth trying...
To get into Safe Mode - long press on the "Power Off" question when you turn it off - it reboots in safe mode.

ATT Note 5 Native Tether/hotspot (NO Root) 6.0.1 MM

I am using an at&t note 5 (sm-920A) i downgraded from Nougat EQC6, 7.0.1 to 6.0.1. MM CPK1 with Binary 4 bootloader. This phone has never been rooted.
I now have access to hotspot in my notifications drop down menu, and USB tethering along with Bluetooth tethering work by just going to the option and switching them on.
My Goal was initially to downgrade to 5.1.1 to get root so i could make use of the Native Tether/Hotspot and other root apps on my ATT Note 5.
I am using this phone on the Straight Talk network.
This is my first how-to and first post. I apologize if i post in the wrong section or am unable to give more help to those in need.
I've searched/googled and although i have found workarounds i have not found any how-to's to get to this end result.
Ive been using my note 5 this way for a few days now with no problems. disabled att bloatware, knox, and system updates with package disabler pro.
With not having any issues, I flashed back to the 6.01 firmware to check my steps and write this how-to. Will update if anything changes.
WARNING!!
Some things i did may be unnessary but were in my process at the time of writing/doing this so are included
I haven't tested everything on this phone.
I don't know if there are any bugs.
I don't know what will happen when updated.
I do not garuntee this will work for you.
I take NO responsibility if your decision to try/do this fails.
The Search button and google were my biggest helpers.
Here is my process as laid out and straight forward as i could think to write it.
Things you will need:
1. N920AUCS4CPK1 posted by droidvoider (https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...lution-samsung-note-5-sm-n920a-error-t3545600 using odin) by droidvoider

Big Thank you to these guys for posting this stuff, and everything else they post.
I am assuming you know how to put your phone into download mode and use odin in the following instructions. I left my phone connected to my pc with sim card in the entire process.
1. Unzip N920AUCS4CPK1, then Flash using odin. Use all 4 files in their respected spots. nothing else has to be changed hit start.
After reboot I setup up the phone enough to get to settings and enable developer options. making sure to turn on adb debugging and oem unlock. then rebooted to download mode
2. In Odin, Flash N920AUCE2APB2.tar in the BL slot and COMBINATION_FA51_N920AUCU4APL1_CL6053901_QB11816686_REV00_user_mid_noship.tar in the AP slot. (I flashed these two at the same time)
Phone will reboot to binary splash screen then start regularly. For me the phone Played boot music and (vibrated then vibrate twice) repeatedly. Bootloop
If this happens to you as well,
2a. Shut phone off by holding volume down key and power button.
(If you are brought to a screen that says power key long press in yellow with other information below[well call this the info screen, not sure on its proper name],
then power off by holding volume down key and power key again, releasing both when screen goes blank.
2b. When the phone is completly off reboot to recovery by holding volume up key and power key.
Do a factory reset and wipe cache. Then reboot. (If it freezes at cache complete, power off with volume down key and power key).
Holding power button for 10 seconds or more will boot you to info screen again.
3. Your phone should load to a home screen with what looks like a debugging menu as the background.
4. Turn phone off and boot to download mode.
5. In Odin, load BL, AP, and CP from N920AUCS4CPK1. Leave CSC blank. No other options should be changed in Odin.
6. You will reboot to recovery. Use reboot option. dm verity check will start then phone should reboot to normal setup initialization.
7. If for some reason your phone shows the wrong storage size, go to back-up and resert in settings and o a factory data reset mine was showing up as 16gb where as it is 64gb
That was everything i did.
If with straight talk send a text to 611611 with the mesage being apn.
afrter a few minutes they will send a configuration message for browser and mms.
Install both. They should say installed when complete.
For others you will have to input your apn settings manually.
My phone showed H+ for the first few minutes, has been showing 4g ever since.
Just a few thoughts before i post, but are in no way tested or confirmed...
I'm thinking coming from cpk1 full firmware you could just flash the combination file in the AP slot.
Then after reboot to Download mode flash the cpk1 firmware without the CSC file and hve the same result,
but I havnt had a chance to test that yet as i need my phone running, and will soon have to go to work.
The main reason the N920AUCE2APB2.tar file was used was because i was playing around flashing different files it may or may not be needed. further testing is needed. but it was there during this process so i included it. Again I apologize if this could be simplified or if i left anything out. any comments are appreciated positive or negative. Thanks
So i did a little testing. Flash cpk1 all files. Then flash the custom binary and rebooting to download mode. Then flash the cpk1 files again minus the csc file. Leave that slot(csc) empty in odin and it will give you native hotspot and tethering. You get hotspot from notification drop down menu and No more contact att. It will take away the calls over wifi option though.
I will edit this walkthrough (if you canveven call it that) soon to reflect the changes. Thank you for reading.

This process also works using this firmware. i updated from cpk1 using my process in post #2. i left out the (csc) and pit file in the N920A_N920AUCS4EQL1_ATT_USA_7.0.zip huynhlam posted in the link above. I am now on 7.0 with native hotspot and mobile hotspot icon in the notification drop down menu working . i can upload pictures but atm im not familiar with the best free file hosting sites so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i will keep trying different firmwares and update with results.

4. N920AUCE2APB2.tar posted by TechNyne66 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-note5/general/att-note-5-n920a-teather-root-t3356666)
Thanks

[ATT Note 5. on straight talk]

Hello Badbrane, I followed your instructions and I succeeded
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: After some testing I found out a bluetooth issue.
The first time I turn the device on, the bluetooth works fine. Then, after a reboot, I can't turn bluetooth on any more.
If I go through a Factory reset I will get the bluetooth working again, till next reboot
I need some help. I'm stuck in 2b (yellow information screen). when i hold [volume down] + [power button] it restarts instead of turning off. What should I do?
The combination file is no longer on Android file host. Any chance you have another link?
Im blind

Update firmware with NetOdin

Hi all,
I noticed that the BSA4 update has been released everywhere except Australia. I've been able to get my hands on the firmware files but do not know how to get the watch to connect with NetOdin.
Has anyone been able to do this? I've seen videos of it for the Gear S2 and Gear S3 but there is no way to "restart" the device, only "power off".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers,
Hieu.
Actually nevermind I managed to get it working on my own..
Nice going!
so where you get firmware....and how did you do it...give us a rundown
Hi, have you succeeded? Can you give us a tutorial so that everyone can enjoy it?
Sure guys. Will put something together later today after work. Getting my hands on the firmware took a bit of searching but managed to find it on a Russian forum.
Will provide a run down of the process and links to the firmware (note: only know where to download the firmware for the 46mm and 42mm Bluetooth version, not the LTE).
0. This process will factory reset your Watch, so make sure you've backed up everything you need!
1. Hold down the Home button for 6-10 seconds until the message " Rebooting ... "
2. Quickly press Home three times until the Reboot Menu appears. (The menu is available for about 10 seconds, after which the clock goes back to "Rebooting ...")
3. The menu selection is made by long holding Home button. To go into Download (wireless mode) press the home button until "Download (Wireless)" is highlighted, then hold down the Home button.
4. Download mode will load in WPS mode. Press Home twice to change the mode to the AP.
5. Connect to the access point that appears (for example, SM-R800-a2a5) (ODIN for some reason does not see the device if several networks are connected.)
6. Run NetOdin3 and then set the firmware files for BL, AP and CSC, then click Start (Copying/flashing of firmware takes about 20 minutes).
7. After the files are downloaded, the Watch will reboot. Again, hold Home and highlight & select Recovery in the Reboot menu.
8. The "Setting Up" screen and "Resetting" screen should appear and after that the Watch will reboot and boot as usual.
N.B. It is advisable to check whether you have disabled the function "find my watch" or make sure you remember the password to your Samsung Account

Restart both devices and try again is what I'd recommend. And disconnect from your home wifi that you're usually connected to on your PC first before trying to connect to your Watch's access point.

It says that 5 seconds after being connected to network, via WPS or AP it's the same... 5 seconds ? Too slow ?...

Nothing. You don't need to activate anything in developer menu. Have you tried on another computer?
My connection is always stable on AP connection mode.

[GUIDE] How to downgrade to Android 9

Make backups!
Go to Settings - About Phone - Software information, and under 'Service provider SW ver.' you will see something like : '..._SM_A505FN_OXM_LUX_QQ..... etc...' The important thing is a: the model number, in my case A505FN and b: the country code, which is LUX on my device.
Then go to https://samfw.com (very fast download), you also have https://samfrew.com/ but download speeds are slow!
Enter model number, select Country and filter by Android version 9. Select the latest firmware. Enable Captcha and press on 'Download on website (need big ram)'.
Download Odin and USB drivers
Extract zip firmware files, install USB.
Open Odin.
Turn off device. Press Volume Up + Power until you are in the Android Recovery. Connect USB. Then with Volume Down you select 'Reboot to bootloader'. Press Power to confirm. If everything is good you will see a blue box in Odin. In my case it says: '0:[COM4]'.
Add the firmware files for BL, AP, CP and CSC. In the Options tab only check 'Auto Reboot' and 'F.Reset Time'. Press 'Start' and wait.
If you see the green box in Odin that says 'Pass!', disconnect USB.
Go through normal Android setup.
Make sure to disable automatic updates, or it will auto update to Android 10 again!
Go to Settings - Software update - uncheck 'Auto download over Wi-Fi'. Then go to About phone - Software information - tap several times Build number until you unlock Developer options. Then go back to Settings - Developer options - uncheck 'Auto update system'.
Disable security update policy: Settings - Biometrics and Security - Other Security Settings - Security Policy Settings - uncheck 'Auto Updates'.
After a day i still get a notification to update... So the last option is to adb and disable the update package: Download 'minimal_adb_fastboot_1.4.3_portable.zip', enable USB debugging in the Developer Options, connect USB, accept, unzip the file, open 'cmd-here.exe' and enter:
Code:
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.wssyncmldm
result: Package com.wssyncmldm new state: disabled-user
and
Code:
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.sec.android.soagent
result: Package com.sec.android.soagent new state: disabled-user
Now enter 'adb reboot'.
If that didn't work, I'm out of idea's.
Done!
edit: This guide only works if you upgraded from Android 9 to 10 with software update. If you flashed Android 10 with Odin you cannot downgrade anymore...
Thanks!

Can ya send me that firmware? Because i didnt find BIT 5 android 9
does it work after 1 year with all monthly updates?
I was just done downloading usb driver, ODIN, and firmware...... attempting to go back to latest/last Android 10 update prior to getting into Android 11. I installed android 11 update on April 5th and it lead the phone to do suicide on April 13th (pressing on power button and tapping on screen did nothing, charging the phone even using my husband's A71's charger didn't help). after a good 2 hours of headache and mild stress, I managed to remember to try pressing the volume button and power button. and.. the phone finally booted up.......... phew... and went to samsung SC yesterday, only to get stared at while asking "how to backup my phone into computer" ...probably the ladies there think I'm a dimwitted person looking for trouble, as they kept on using "Factory Reset" and "Flashing" interchange-ably to shoo me away and told me that downgrading will kill my phone, that had been out of warranty for 2 years. oh well....... wish me luck in downgrading...

Does the same apply to flashed Android 11 with Odin? :<
My battery life is horrible after going to Android 11. Can I downgrade?
Thanks!
Hi.. I have had less features and terrible radio reception for data ever since upgraded.
I downloaded the mexican file for android 9 from sammobile and I removed the bootloader lock so i get a message now that warns me it is unlocked and insecure when booting. The phone was reset before doing.
I followed the instructions but I get this error:
check fail boot loader device binary 4 pit_flash_binary unsupported version
The best I could find on Google from translated Russian was that the BootLoader has been upgraded when I went to version 11 and it is not allowed to downgrade.
I highly doubt i downloaded the wrong version and I have the sm-a505g number in my file which is my phone too. (I have the world phone with 2 sim)
So how can I downgrade my phone back to its real original state?
The internet is pretty much useless on this phone since the over the air update and I need to use a portable wifi router to get internet to work on my phone.
I also miss changing color of my photos to b/w in certain areas.
Shame on Samsung for doing this.
ps.. Living in Myanmar.
