Auto Clear Cache App for Fire Stick - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I'm looking to auto clear the cache for all installed apps the first time the stick is booted, daily. Anyone know of an existing app or is skilled enough to write a script to do it?
I don't want to do it at a pre-set time because the stick might not be running at the time, and I also don't want to do it every time it starts because I'd like to keep the daily data for faster loading of those apps throughout the day.
This is more for preventative maintenance for my rental unit.
Thoughts?

Need help figuring out whats making my phone run 100% of the time

half way through the day today, and a couple days ago, i noticed my phone slowing to VERY very much, huge lag and latency. i barley run any appas at work, ill check a couple of websites, facebook and txt messages. I checked spare parts > Battery History and Running is at 100%. when i check partial wake usage, no apps seem to be staying awake and draining my battery. any1 ever experience this? is there another way to see if there is an app/service bogging down my phone. sometimes i notice when im on 4G it also slows doen, but it has never drained my battery like this.
im considering wiping the cache and dalvik, would that help?
Yes wipe both and then go to "Other" and select 'Fix UID mismatch' while you're there.
Another app that can help narrow it down is "SystemPanel Lite", free on the market.
Or if you like, start using Juice Defender and maybe even buy the UltimateJuice for 3.99 if I remember correctly, It gives me a x1.87 boost, so It could work...GL
And I just found this useful bit of information on each method to save your battery or increase it in fact here it is the link http://home.comcast.net/~evobenchers/index.html viola enjoy
Thanks for the suggestions, ill see if it helps within the nest couple days
Good luck...nothing has worked for me. I have done all of the above and it still happens. 4g does seem to slow it up also. My phone runs around 100% but no apps are draining it. Very rarely will watchdog alert me on an app draining the usage. I do not want to do a hard reset but that is sprints only answwr.
Hey, are there any side effects to wiping the cache and dalvik without flashing a new rom? will i lose anything?
Edit1: also, i'm looking into WatchDog. which version are you using skillzo1?

None other than your first boot up will take a little longer as it rebuilds the Dalvik.
It probably could be considered a good maintenance step as is cleaning up "Other".

[Q] CM11 (Android 4.4.4) - Low Ram, constant service/app crashes

Hello All! Long time watcher, first time poster here. I'm honestly at a loss with my GNex at this point and wanted to see if anyone could help. Although I found posts elsewhere on xda and Google similar to this issue, it always seemed to apply to 4.2 Android, which does not apply to my situation. If I missed a sticky or something about this, please let me know.
Problem:
My phone is repeatedly overwhelmed by simple day-to-day activities. It is unable to cache many background apps, and (most annoying) frequently closes the service for cell connection and wifi. When this occurs, I cannot open any webpages (via wifi or 4G/3G) and must reboot. The past few weeks, the phone will close background apps, and occasionally the foreground app. About 80% of the time, it cannot load the app drawer without a ~10 sec delay and EVERY time I go to the home screen, it has to reload every app icon and widget. I checked the memory, and as I sit here writing this, I see (in the running apps page) that I am using 632MB of my memory (with 62 MB free). The few processes/services/apps listed as running only add up to 100MB or so. I cannot account for ~70% of my "used" memory.
Info:
I'm rooted and running CM 11 (Nightly M8). My previous ROM was CM 10, which developed the same issues eventually, but never became this severe. The flash was done from a clean wipe (didn't want to tempt fate with that one). I reboot my phone daily (often more).
Question:
I'm at a loss as to what in particular is causing this... and what direction I should investigate. Is this a known issue with 4.4? Is CM11 simply too much for a GNex? Is this a TRIM issue?
Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

What apps do you have installed? Some apps run in the background and take up free RAM. Use Greenify to hibernate them or boot manager (Xposed framework module) to prevent them from running again.
Another tip is to flash a kernel with ASRAM or SuperRAM (kernels that free up more RAM for your Gnex).

Oneplus 5T launching apps very slowly

Phone is the 6GB RAM 64 GB storage version.
For the last couple of weeks it slowed down to a crawl when it comes to launching apps. For instance it takes 18 seconds!, I timed it, to open Skype on my phone. Other apps also open very slowly. Once they are opened and kept in memory they are re-opened instantaneously so the problem is only when launching the apps the first time.
There is about 2.8GB RAM available, only 35% of storage space is used so there is no reason why the phone should run so slowly.
I have upgraded to Oxygen 5.0.4 but no change.
If I run it in safe mode I can't check if it's slow or not because no user apps are available.
I have cleared Cache and Dalvik cache repeatedly to no avail.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Does this also happen on newly installed apps? It could have something to do with the ART optimisations on app launch but you experience it every time you open it from scratch?
1. your phone is fake or defective
2. you have installed some battery saver apps
3. you have flashed some custom kernels
I have used OP5T for over a month and I have to say, it's the fastest phone ever I have till now, before OP5T I got S7E, NoteFE, Mate 9 and IMO Mate 9 is really fast with Kirin 960 but OP5T is better and smoother than Mate 9 in many aspects. The things I missed so much from Mate9 are Sdcard and extremely long battery, the rest are fine for me on OP5T.
SOLVED.
It was an application called ProtectMyPrivacy, PMP for short. If I don't start it after rebooting for some strange reason it slows the phone down incredibly. It's a very useful application, it blocks all the sleazy apps form accessing, unbeknownst to the user, things like Phone Unique ID, Contacts reading, Calendar reading, Fine Grained Location, Mac address, etc. It's crazy how bundled apps we aren't even aware run in the background collecting all sorts of information and sending them to who knows where. Apps like AdMob, Flurry, AppBrain, AppsFlyer, InmobiFabric, Hockey App, etc. that are part of a regular app that we download but we have no idea they are bundled in. Sleazebags.
Anyway, PMP blocks all these bastards from spying on the phone but I need to start PMP manually every time I reboot the phone. I sent an message to the developer, SynergyLabs at Cornegie University, to let them know about the issue.

Cache filling up to 1 Gb+ in a week

Can y'all help me figure out what's happening to my wife's phone? My wife's phone is getting bogged down. Apps will sometimes force close. We have been told that she needs to empty her cache when it gets up to 1 Gb, about once a month. We've been monitoring it and it fills up in a week or less. Three days ago it was at 2 Gb, we emptied it. Today it is at 0.9 Gb. I don't understand what is going on.
Here are my questions:
1.) Will a large cache (> 1.0 Gb) mess with her phone?
2.) Why would her cache fill up quickly?
3.) Is there anything we can do to make her phone more stable?
We've talked with the techs at Verizon but they aren't XDA.
Thanks.
the cache is not supposed to be filled up that fast. I believe big cache might have a slight negative effect on overall system performance, but this would not be dramatic. The bigger problem here is, WHAT is constantly creating such big data, which no doubt requires lots of computing power.
I would suggest freezing all possible apps and monitor
I would suggest looking going into Settings > Storage > Internal Storage > Apps and go through each app on the list and see how much data is cached. Then you can identify any badly behaving apps and know for certain what is making your cache grow so big so fast.

Automate device care optimize now button

Guys, i want to know if we can automate device care optimize button to run every 1 hour or 2 hours using a program?
You probably can but it will likely eat battery to a greater or lesser extent. Overkill.
A direct homepage Clean Now shortcut button be nice but I never got that to work.
Simply close open apps when done.
I use Clean Now or Optimize once or twice a day to clean log files etc. I generally use Clean Now. Troublesome apps need it after they're closed. Sort them out. I generally keep Google play Services disabled unless needed, it's a known offender.
Use Karma Firewall to block their internet access if they don't need it.
Scan with Malwarebytes occasionally or as needed.
Clear System Cache occasionally or as needed.
My current OS load is over 1.5 yo, still fast and stable. This is all I do.
If you are having speed or stability issues track down the root cause(s). This should be a fast running device as is.
If your SOT is higher than 12%@hr at 50% or less screen brightness, something is eating too much power.
