(Take a Backup before doing anything)
First of all check check your base band version (Phone Settings-> Info)
if you are not on the latest version(2 different versions Chinese or Indian).
i not i would suggest you to download any version of your choice and then flash it.
once you are done with all of that. now comes the main part.
you have to now enable volte on the stock rom and try using it for 5- 10 mins and check if u get 4g network, else check you sim card to see if it is 3g or a 4g sim.
if a 3g sim, then just get the sim upgraded. (should consider doing this first). else you would have seen 4g network, thats all . follow all steps to root and unlock the bootloader.
Thats all any rom you would have 4g

I'm using the E975 and I've unlocked the bootloader, installed CM11 on it.
However I realised that the ROM did not detect any signals. I couldn't make calls or SMS.
I had to manually go to the network settings and find the carrier (Singtel) to register everytime I start the phone.
I then flashed savvy 4 ROM to see if the network was any better. It was, but then I was limited to GSM only. I couldn't get 3G or 4G.
Before I unlocked the bootloader, I had 3G and 4G signals.
Then I decided to KDZ back to stock ROM. I had network but only limited to GSM.
I realised my phone could only detect GSM signals from Singtel, M1 and Starhub. I couldn't see 3G or 4G.
I don't know what to do now. I need help. Must I flash any basebands or modems or anything? Thanks
have a rooted ls980 on CloudyG3, TWRP. I used basic flash tool to get sms and voice working on Page Plus
I cannot get 3g working. I do have CDMA workshop . any tutorial on using CDMA workshop to flash LS980 to page plus with working 3g ?

have you change from Sprint to Undetermined ?
I just flashed and followed CloudyG3 FAQ which shows how to get data working. I use mine on TMO. Look at the FAQ post for Cloudy and you will be fine.
Mind you LS980 only supports UMTS2100, so you may not get 3G unless your carrier supports that band. On TMO I only get 2G at 200-400 Kbps which is still pretty fast.

TMO is GSM not CDMA bro...With GSM, most of your programming is in the SIM and through APN setting..it's different with CDMA...we have to flash our carrier settings (not the same flashing as flashing a ROM)

Sorry I thought your carrier was GSM.
I am aware CDMA is different, I was assuming you wanted to use it on GSM. If you want CDMA then yes you have to flash carrier settings.
I know some carriers flash Sprint/Verizon phones for their CDMA network so you could try that.

Hey all. I'm currently running a D855V (Australian model) rooted on stock Android 4.4.2.
So I recently upgraded to Lollipop but couldn't use it fully due to issues with some other software of mine. So I used the KDZ method to flash back to 10E. Since then I've lost all 4G/LTE on my phone.
I've tried changing the networking mode inside the mobile network settings from GSM/WCDMA to GSM/WCDMA/LTE but once selected my entire mobile network will drop. From there it will regain network connectivity for about 10 seconds (minus any data connection) and then drop off again, showing no network. It will continue to do this until I change the network type back to GSM/WCDMA or reboot (which defaults the connectivity method back to GSM/WCDMA anyway). I tried flashing the 10C firmware too (for Australia) but this will do the exact same thing.
I've also tried changing the LTE RAT settings inside the hidden menu to GSM/WCDMA/LTE and it still won't connect. It will drop the network like the previous method but will then reconnect only with a HSDPA connection rather than 4G/LTE.
I've checked the SIM card in another phone and it works fine with 4G/LTE. I've also checked my IMEI and it shows that I do have one so I can rule that out. Right now I"m at a loss. I'm thinking I need to flash a new radio or baseband but I can't find any info about that from any of the other threads I've read.
Any info at this stage would be great as it sucks having the 2nd best 4G speeds in the world and not being able to use them.
Cheers all.
EDIT: Resolved it by flashing KK modem/baseband. Thanks to JDr0iD for the suggestion. Turns out the KK and LP basebands are done differently. Figures considering the massive overhaul they've done with it. Anyway the modem can be found here - https://mega.co.nz/#!61QBVS5B!pa2xdGyeWAJKyAazkz9O8qc5b9hJOpxX5kaU_aFdjq4

Hello, All.
I've successfully completed my quest in getting my Verizon Galaxy S7 to work with AT&T's primary LTE band; Band 17.
At first I was using the PE1 firmware with root. I first used Phone INFO (for Samsung) app to access the service code 2263. On PE1, only the factory Verizon-supplied bands were showing as supported. Band 12/17 were not showing in the service menu.
I took my chances and flashed the G930U firmware (found on the AT&T S7 forum of all things) and booted the phone with my AT&T SIM card. I ran LTE Discovery and achieved profit. Band 17 was working with the same signal as the iPhone 6S the SIM card came out of.
Also, the 930U firmware completely debrands the phone, which is perfect since I'll be using it on AT&T. After I confirmed band 17 I proceeded to root using the normal method of flashing the engboot and installing the root/SuperSU package per the root instructions. I did not use the Verizon PE1 debloater/fixes .zip files to make necessary tweaks, post root. I performed the tweaks manually (wifi fix, CPU governer: interactive, and SecurityLogAgent) .. Let me know if I'm missing anything in those regards please.
The ONLY thing I can't do now is view all the LTE bands in 2263 Service Mode. I get a "RAT Selection option: is restricted".. I want to see if all LTE bands are unlocked now. If you know of another way to see all the supported LTE bands, please let me know!
I now have exactly what I was set out to accomplish and it's great. The S7 is replacing my iPhone 6S on AT&T and I will be buying a Note 7 to replace the S7 on Verizon. If/when root is achieved on the Note 7 I will do the same and replace the Note 7 on Verizon with the iPhone 7 (I cycle my personal/business phones as a guilty pleasure if you can't tell already)

nice work, thanks for taking the plunge
Just did the same on a friend's S7 that he was trying to get on Cricket's LTE, as the VZW firmware kept him on HSPA+ at most. All I had to do was flash the AT&T firmware and bam, LTE. I forgot to check what band it was on but at least it's an additional proof of concept.
Thanks for the info!
Can u link that ROM
I haven't tried with Samsung, however, most phones with Qualcomm modems can be accessed via QXDM or similar PC software. Often the so called hacked HTC modem driver will allow QXDM to communicate with the phone.
There are XDA threads detailing how to access the appropriate LTE bands and selecting bands of choice using the above method.
AT&T and VzW both use bands 2 and 4, so you probably have all the bands that you need covered already.

The factory Verizon firmware did NOT have LTE band 12 or 17 unlocked so I was only getting HSPA+ with little spurts of band 2/4 LTE every once in a while with the AT&T SIM card in it. Flashing the 930U unlocked band 12/17 for me so I have full LTE coverage in the same spots where I only had HSPA+ before.

One thing to note also is that the G930U firmware auto detects your carrier settings and has you restart after first boot. I'm assuming it will unlock correct bands depending on the carrier SIM you use. The G930U firmware does NOT, however, like the Verizon SIM. Upon updating carrier settings with a Verizon SIM installed, the device will reboot into recovery. Every time you power on the device it will prompt you to update the carrier settings and will have you reboot again.. back into recovery. Rinse and repeat. I had to refresh the U firmware to get my band 12/17 back after putting the Verizon SIM in.

With flashing the 930u firmware being possible would it be possible to then get twrp recovery working? Debating on trying just because I have an extra s7

Currently on stock. I get LTE with a att sim card until i place a call then it reverts to 3G. Any known issues with this method? I would really enjoy having full LTE coverage if possible

The issue I have is with the U Firmware. However, the method does not trip knox. Make a Smartswitch backup and give it a go. If it still doesn't work flash back to AT&T stock and restore from your backup.
OP: if you haven't been able to allow the RAT selection i'd suggest this.
go to Service mode main menu (either broadcast cmd 27663368378 or app like shortcut master), 2. ue setting > 1. setting > 1. protocol > 5. sim > 4. EF_RAT Free Supporting > 1. EF rat free supporting on (select even if it shows on)> now RAT Free Support.
Then business as usual.

Your call is being transmitted over LTE so the data reverts back to Hspa during the call. Mine does this but returns to LTE after I hang up.

Thanks for the explanation. So at this point what is the point of this method? Does unlocking the band lead to a stronger signal?

You unlock the band that AT&T primarily uses for LTE. Much more LTE signal throughout the nation on band 17.
My friend brought an original refurbish Samsung N910v android version 5.01 which was working with GSM 2G if not 3G until when I tried to update to new version android v6.0.1. In the menu>setting>about when I checked first before anything it showed me N910 F v5.01 but in boot mode Odin it was N910v.The problem started when I just typed *#9090# the phone immediately started reboot loop. I have managed to unlock the boot loader and root the phone installed custom rom version 6.0.1 by Paul Pizz rom VRU2CPJ2.r-1 but still can not have 2G or 3G GSM network. Please help to revive the phone again whether it meant to go back to 5.0.1 that would work with gsm cause am full stack now.
Have you checked to ensure you have the APN information in place? I have a Galaxy Note 4 N910V now (just got it a few days ago) and when I put my T-Mobile SIM in it from the very first time I have to manually put in the APN data - on custom ROMs it's usually picked up and there automagically but not always so, my suggestion is that you check to make sure your APN information is currently there as it should be.
Settings - More - Cellular networks - Access Point Names - make sure the one you need to be using is selected and if it's not then you'll have to put that info in manually and save it.
As for the actual model number, take the battery out and see what the model number is on the sticker in the battery compartment area - if the sticker isn't there then it could be a device that someone has done some experimenting with because that info can be changed. The sticker should be there, of course, but sometimes people take 'em out when they're mucking around with stuff, who knows.
Initially the phone is from Verizon but was working on 2G ,3G GSM network with N910F firmware version 5.0.1.it was working on airtel network until when I wanted to update. May I have the Apn settings, please

The APN will be your network. Are trying to use Verizon? If so, you should have a spot to tic the VZWINTERNET. If not, then you have a sim card issue.

Is the sim from verizon? If you have a good account go to a corporate store and have them give you a new one. It's free.
Also, what are your APN settings and I will compare to mine. Everything works on mine.

I now rooted this n910v android version 5.1.1 still no network, am in Africa where there is 2G&3G GSM network, how would I make this fone to work again with the gsm network now that I rooted. On the network bar I get a circle with a cross ,how to make this work

- N910VVRU2CPJ2_FullFirmware_NoAboot<--- Full Framework with no aboot so you will not re-lock bootloader, but will unroot and restore back to 100% stock. once your on the full stock check if your connections are working fine, if they are then install custom rom, otherwise change the sim card
go in settings, connections and select network mode to global, should be fine
