S9 EXYNOS - Lost IMEI Status - Custom ROM - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hi guys
Hope there is anyone that can assist. I rooted my device and installed TWRP recovery etc. I installed various custom ROMs, and was running with Ambassadi latest version (Cross device Section)
I then decided to get my device back to stock, downloaded the latest ODIN version XFA from Sammobile, and flashed it via ODIN. Once the device restarted, i noticed that there was no network. (No IMEI) I then tried to reflash the original PIE ODIN version DBT that i had downloaded. Same thing.
Luckily, i made a TWRP backup of my IMEI when i was on the DBT (PIE Version). I then booted the device, enabled dev mode, but there is no unlock OEM option. Current state is Prenormal. Which means i will need to wait 7 days.
The files i have is:
efs.ext4.win
efs.ext4.win.sha2
efs.info
recovery
How would i go about, to restore my device again? I hope i can flash TWRP, and then restore my IMEI via TWRP? Or is there any other way to try and fix it?

Wooooooop nevermind. Got it sorted. I managed to get TWRP installed again. Format data, reflashed custom. and done )

Hi everyone,i am asking for your help i am noob at this. So i wanted to install a custom rom on my s9+ (Pixle Expirience),after using the rom i installed a random android pie kernel, then the rom woudnt boot.So i installed a normal custom rom that i knew it worked.I flash that but i didint have mobile data and i coudnt see my IMEI and my flight mode was plain blue instead of gray(but my wifi worked like everything elese). Then i installed stock firmware via odin, still nothing.
Then i panic and found some software which with u can insert your IMEI,but i have accidentally wiped my efs.So now when i install firmware it is stuck at samsung logo, and in TWRP it says failed to mount /efs Invalid argument. So i ask u if u can guide me on what to do and how to get efs file.Your help is appreciated.Thank you.

Have you tried resetting with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923956
With this you can flash the stock boot image back, and hopefully after that you'll be able to flash everything else you want.
Alternatively you could flash stock Rom and Kernel with Odin.
If you have Kies installed, make sure that it is not running while Odin is running. They don't like each other.
You said you wanted to flash a Rom, what exactly were you trying to flash? Are you sure it was the right Rom for your device?

I tried to factory format my phone through TWRP, then when I tried to restart again, it never comes back.

Plz help me.
Many thanks.

What format option did you select in TWRP and hope you didn't accidently remove your OS? The device could fail to boot if you don't have an OS installed. You may be able to flash a complete stock restore image via TWRP. Would you recall what Android version you were on before the brick? Also what is your phone model and carrier?

Mine was ATT S3 I747 with Android 4.3 system. I did wipe my OS during recovery. That caused the whole problem. Then I use TWRP to flash a system and a kernel in. I was unable to flash bootloader and modem in; I did not know what is the problem. The weird thing is that I successfully start my phone and used it for a while. When I rebooted it, it dies again. I tried to install the some boot update in this January. It never works again. Any advise?

You can try flashing a complete stock system to get your phone back to working condition. Since you already had 4.3, flashing zips often fails if there is a bootloader incompatibility. The stock restore should do it. Please go to the following thread ....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486
Download the stock restore zip to your PC. Use another device or something to load it to a (micro) SD card. Insert the card into your phone. Boot into recovery mode and flash from TWRP. When done, wipe your cache/dalvik and reboot to system. Let's know if this works for you.

[Q] No OS installed, stuck on Boot

Hello guys,
at first i like to thank everyone for their effort to "open the mind" of the hima. i appreciate your work.
Now to my problem: i got a "live demo unit", which i want to flash with a stock firmware. In this Demo-Mode are necessary options blocked (e.g. adjusting brightness) and theres always a demo displayed on the sleep of the device.
At first, i started to unlock the bootloader and flashed twrp. Until this point everything went fine. I just tried to flash a firmware from this post via twrp and thought, that the flashing is only possible with the stock recovery, as adb sideload didn't worked for me. So i decided to reflash the stock recovery. From this pointit's not possible to boot anymore. i can only access the bootloader & download mode. the stock recovery is running, but can't mount the data from the internal storage an tells something about that he can't access to it. Now i reflashed twrp after relocking & unlocking again the bootloader. i would hopefully try at next to flash a custom rom via twrp.
Any hints by now? Everything would be helpful....and btw: sorry for my bad english

revert to stock issue6

I have installed unikernel on my g925t s6 edge regular edge.*
Now i need to revert to stock kernel but i can't. If i do a fresh install of the lateset build OI1 from odin the flash procedure complete succesfuly but the phone after that wont boot because it stuck at Samsung logo powered by android. And when i go to download mode Recovery mode is Samsung official and System status is custom. I tried to factory reset with recovery but nothing. I have also tried to fully wipe the phone with twrp but nothing. After i flash the official lastest build with odin the system status is still custom and the phone is stuck at Samsung logo. I have to flash this kernel again in order to boot the phone. But i need that phone works with stock kernel and stock system. I also did an efs folder wipe, which means i have flashed another efs with odin and after that imei said unknown. Than i have repair imei and have my phone back to function. But i cannot revert to stock
Any ideas ?

Tablet wont reboot in recovery mode after flashing TWRP

Hi to everyone.
Recently, I wanted to mod my tablet (SM-T805 chagalllite) and install the TWRP, and then a custom ROM. I followed a guide, dowloaded the twrp.img.tar file, dowloaded ODIN (3.13) and continued. I started my tablet in Fastboot/Odin mode, selected the file under the AP checkbox, connected it to the computer and then flashed the recovery. It said PASS and immediatly after it rebooted I pressed the key combo Power+Home+VolUp but it started normally. When I returned to the fastboot mode, it said KNOX WARRANTY VOID 1, so it did something. But simply the recovery wont start up, although I retried another 3 times. I tried with the AutoRoot package, it did the red android thing, the SuperSu app was there but the Root Binary wasn't. Any help?
P.S:
The twrp and odin are both at last version.
Nevermind, I solved my problem. I installed CF Autoroot which reinstalled stock recovery, and flashed TWRP using its official app.:good:
I need help was using twrp 321 some thing for quite a while and had no issues flashing ROMs back up ect. But I tried to do a restore and it failed due to , unable to mount system.

Ok I fixed it the back up from twrp curreupted the recovery partition. Even reinstall twrp doesn't work or trying to get the stock recovery. To fix it you need to download the entire stock ROM and install the ap via oden in odin mode. My system didn't even boot stock but this fixed the recovery partition and could flash twrp and install a custom ROM
