Well I'm asking of it's possible to create a pie room from the Moto Z3 for our zforce2 since hardware is somewhat very similar. Has this been done with success?
I once flashed a HTC butterfly three with a raw HTC M9 ROM with some success (camera didn't work.)

No port necessary, we have pie roms, for awhile now. Check out Lineage and Dirty Unicorn. Z2 Force aka nash.
Well do thoes ROMs have the Moto apps things I use dayliy like chop for flashlight and the like, I also assume ball the mods still work right?

The main thing, for me as well, is support for Motorola Moto Mods and the Moto gestures. Which neither los not dirty unicorn support iirc

Mods work. Only ones that don't are audio routing mods (gamepad audio jack doesn't work, but pad works and the speakers) and the camera mod. Others work fine.
Edit: flaahlight chop works fine. Other gestures don't. FP nav works on los

So the JBL Audio ones don't work? That is a slight bummer, is there any chance they are working to have it work in the future?
So the projector and turbo power pack (the two mods I use frequently) work?

Audio routing is dependant on vendor blobs for P. When P releases there is a chance audio routing would be fixed.
Yes, projector and battery packs work.
So the question of the porting of the z3 ROM is that a possible thing?

No. They have a different partition map, one uses treble, one doesn't (officially), they have different modem version, different greybus revisions, etc.
There's a reason we don't use Z3 blobs on nash.
Thanks man

That's not quite how that works. It would need edits. If you ran it though Erfanoabdi's GSI scripts probably, but the Moto features wouldn't work as the Blobs are all wrong, neither would mods, etc.
I'm bumping this with a new question, now that there is an official pie ROM can that be stripped of Verizon yuck and user on other North America models?

MoKee updated to 7.1.2
Any notable bugs?
How good is camera app compared to default ROM?
How is battery? With default ROM is good but with superluminal and official lineage is bad to worse.
I'm on mokee 7.1.2-zl1-201705030125-NIGHTLY and everything's really smooth including gaming performance.
I got an issue in gallery, when marking pictures I always have to hold each picture to mark them. Normally in google photos/quickpic I only need to hold at first selection and tap the other pictures for selection.
It also shares the same bug with other rom. Reboot on first fp scan and black screen/freeze when trying to share directly to Twitter from some games which is not happening on stock EUI.
All in all this rom deserves more attention. It is way different than the earlier build of Mokee. This is one of the best for our LePro3 ??

Camera crash when I set the resolution to 11.9MP/16:9 using built-in camera. But I dont find any bug using Footej Camera from google play store, camera and video recording works great as it should.
I can install dolby atmos successfully using dolby 2.4 by ahrion. But I dont notice the difference in sound quality after activating and tweaking the equalizer.

I have disabled it and still no difference. Or it could be Poweramp (which I use to test) utilizes its internal sound processing hence dolby atmos isn't effective. I'll test it more and report the result.

Sony Music App version 9.3.11 (with Walkman Logo)
That you can install like any other Normal app for any device running Android 4.2 and above. Root or No Root.
I have just made only one change that is removing the restrictions for compatible devices and unlocked it for all devices, there might be some bug for certain features that might not be supported on every device, but it works. I will update more apps that we all can use, even for unrooted devices. just don't ask for ETA's I am not that much in development actively.
Enjoy.
Download here
Although there is another thread for this app here which I saw just after creating this post and a better one than mine. So I will port and post some other apps that works on our devices.
You can also try these apps that I posted on other thread here. works on unrooted devices as well.

None taken and as much as I love to have all the options open for an android device, I have to keep this device unrooted.(I have 6 other devices in my home and all of them are rooted except this one), so for now, it's my 1 percent to the A1 community.
Good
Sony Mobile is committed to supporting the open developer community, and one way to show this is by publishing parts of our code as well as selected tools developed by our internal developers.
For some of the Xperia™ devices, we provide Android™ Open Source Project (AOSP) device configurations on GitHub. This means that the software will be open for you as a developer to use and contribute to. This is a way for us to support the open Android community, and it is also a tool for us to facilitate and verify contributions to AOSP.
If you want to build AOSP for your unlocked Xperia device, you find all the resources you need in the sections below.

Unified 4.4 kernel sources
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/kernel
Project git
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/
Bug tracker
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/bug_tracker/issues
Now you can build the latest Android with the latest 4.4 kernel
Thanks for all the hard work and keeping the resources easily accessible and up-to-date. I will be using them for sure .
Thank you for providing these resources and keeping up development for the devices they support. I notice that the dynamic resolution switch in the extended settings doesn't work on android 8.0 or 8.1. Are there any plans to add support for this back in at any point?

It says here that we can change the display to native 4K at 60hz or 1080 at 120hz with your AOSP https://androplus.org/Entry/4577/
The previous comment says it's not working in 8.0 or 8.1, but I don't see an open issue about it in your bug tracker. Was it fixed?
If it wasn't available for 8.0 and 8.1, what version is it available on?

Is there a changelog or something like that? I had issues with these binaries and AOSP builds from last week. A few days later I noticed a commit that mentioned these new binaries, but after that the "Fingerprint" setting is gone, so I'm now using a build of 08-03-2018 with the V10 binaries.
To be honest, I haven't tried a factory reset nor flashing userdata.img, so when I get home I'll update the repo, build a new version and do a full reset.
@jerpelea why Sony remove the FM radio feature on all modern Xperia phones? Why??? The hardware capability is there. Why you cripple the phone on purpose?
Can you please give a logical explanation about this issue?
When will Sony give me back this feature?
And why Sony block the Displayport alt mode? Again you cripple the phone on purpose.
And why I cannot root my phone without losing DRM keys? How to backup my DRM keys??? Please tell me.
I am waiting for answers but my patience is slowly running out.
Thanks Sony for being so user friendly.
If Sony don't fix these issues soon I will never buy Sony products ever again and I sell my Xperia's, my Playstations, my Walkmans, my Sony TV's and all my other Sony products. And I tell all the people that I know to do the same.
It's your choice Sony.

No. Some manufacturers actually care about their users. Not all smartphone manufacturers cripple the phone on purpose the way Sony does it.

I tried to use it and it was not buggy in the slightest except for not being able to receive calls/sms. Outgoing worked fine but I'm not really sure what the problem is. It may just be a Verizon thing.

I'm having an issue with SMS messages. MMS seem to work fine. I'm assuming this is an APN issue with Verizon since there's no mmsc server listed when I view the (read-only) VZWINTERNET APN.
When I get back home, I'll try manually editing the APN config to see if I can fix this issue. I haven't been able to find a functional APN editor app yet.

Turned out to not be an APN issue. After several hours of frustrating trial and error, I'm not 100% sure what fixed the issue. I *think* it was reflashing stock, then lineage, and then stock /vendor again.
This is getting weirder. I can always send both SMS and MMS, but receiving is a different story. After a fresh reboot I receive all SMS messages. UNTIL someone sends me an MMS. The MMS never shows up and then I stop getting SMS messages too. I'd appreciate any ideas on how to resolve this.

Also, just a little teaser [emoji6]
