Help to root a clone phone (WELCOME P30 Pro) - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi! i'm trying to root a WELCOME P30 Pro, which is said to have a mtk 6592. I already unlocked the bootloader but as you can imagine there aren't any recovery to install on the phone in order to root it. So I've tried to install magisk through my PC, but i can't find the boot.img. Being in despair I also tried w/ Kingroot and OneTouchRoot, but none of them worked.
Do you know a way to extract boot.img?
Do you know where i can find the original firmware?
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks for the help!

Elephone P8 MTK6757

Hi Guys,
I just ordered an Elephone P8 2017 with the Mediatek Helio P25 and was wondering who is the right person to ask about support for these phones. I searched for this model but the closest match that comes up is the P8000. I definitely want to root this device and if a rom is created for it......flash to that.
I'm looking forward to any helpful responses.

Well, I'd second that.
Mine has just arrived after only 8 days, and I really want a custom recovery (TWRP preferred).
Custom-ROMs will follow in time, I'm sure, but a recovery would be really helpful for a start.

I was actually able to flash TWRP and do a backup but it would not take the SuperSU flash. After a reboot, I lost TWRP so I'm still patiently waiting on someone to get it to stick.
You need special versions of the SuperSU-Binaries to permanently root the P8.
You find all necessary files on needrom.com:
https://www.needrom.com/download/twrp-recovery-25/
BTW: I recommend SP-Flash-Tool V5.1728 )or any later 1.xxx-version) for the P8.

So have you been able to root your P8 (2017) and get it to stick?
I successfully rooted mine. I'm a freshly registered user here on XDA so it's not allowing me to paste any URL links in this message but there's another version posted on Needrom website. Navigate Needrom website to Home » Elephone » - Serial P » P8 MT6757 and the latest pretty good solution to this problem is the addition titled "Recovery/Root fix".
You need to replace your boot.img with the same but modified version provided. This allows TWRP to stick. My P8 has been rooted for around 4 months now. I can boot into TWRP whenever I want to make a backup or flash something etc. Magisk root v16.0 is also provided to handle the root. Tried replacing it with SuperSU but it grumbles and comes back with an error. I haven't looked into it any further for the time being because Magisk seems to be handling the root just fine so far.
How to replace boot.img?
OK I've found this link to using Magisk to replace the boot.img
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/solved-elephone-p8-max-root-t3838494
Trouble is that Magisk needs TWRP to load it on unrooted phones.
So how do I flash root.img onto this phone?
About to abandon this. Trouble is that I used Titanium pro on my previous phone but that requires root. So I cannot restore my files.
I'll wait for a fix later. Installing apps manually. Ugh.

Root G3121 android 8.0

Hello. I recently bought a G3121 with android 8.0 and I want to root it, but the boot.img from the post i founded here doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone in the same situation with me has found something. Thanks.
I have exactly the same problem, using firmware 48.1.A.2.50, tried many ways to obtain recovery and root, but without succes - sometimes phone wasn't working, sometimes only TWRP was working, but without system so phone was useless, Magisk doesn't want to install on my phone (Bootloader unlocked). What am I doing wrong?

How to root xiaomi mi a2 lite?

Finally bought it.
Still fresh and everything, also my first Xiaomi device.
I only ever rooted an old Samsung device and an LG device (forgot their series now, haha..).
So my goals/targets:
1. Root
2. Custom Rom (if any)
3. Unlock bootloader? If it is locked by default.
I haven't looked what OS version my device have, as I haven't booted it up. Rather finish up the rooting first before putting anything inside.
Thanks for your time!
1. Unlock the bootloader.
2. Root it.
3. No custom ROMs available unless you want to try a GSI.
For 1 & 2 go here.
For 3 go here. Really read up on how to install the GSI if you decide to go this route. There are some guides within this forum.

I tried following the link for 1 & 2
4. Now connect the phone with your PC via USB cable, open an administrative command prompt, move to the directory where the Android platform tools are placed and unlock the bootloader with the following command:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Got stuck here with "waiting for any device". Do you have any insight for this?
Edit: Nvm got it fixed.
But how do I root? Finished up everything on the thread but I'm still not rooted. The thread doesn't say anything about it either.
You have to flash magisk and install the app, then you can give root acces.

Ah okay, it seems to be the app that I wanted to test root on being the problem of me thinking root is not there (and well, older version stating its rooted)
Helium Backup doesnt seem to work with root here. Does either of you use it and knows how to use Helium Backup with root on Mi A2 Lite? Or is the only way with Helium Backup from desktop?
I have had only used titanium backup (freeware), sorry but I don't know anything about helium.
What are you trying to recover/backup, only data or entire apps?

I just got my wife a new Nokia 3.1 (Oreo 8.1) and Helium wouldn't work on it. I was able to back up her old phone running KitKat, but with Oreo on the new phone it was a no go. Neither phone could be rooted so it was disappointing that Helium couldn't do the job. It appears that Helium is not compatible with Oreo.

That's a scam, that won't work. There are plenty of things you can try but nothing will succeed. You have to unlock the bootloader and either flash the Magisk package in a custom recovery of your choice or patch the boot.img of your ROM on your phone with Magisk app and flash it via fastboot. But as you can see from the last statement you will need a PC in all cases. You can f.*k around with all those scams and Internet nonsense.. or you can save yourself some time and do it properly and successfuly for the first time. If you have an unlocked bootloader and a custome recovery already on the phone you are lucky, that's the only way to root it without a PC.
Thanks ill guess ill wait till i get home and do everything from scratch
