Hello guys for me fast charging works greate with the original charger but not with other. For example I have a xiaomi power bank which supports fast charging and it is working fine with other devices, but not with this phone. The same is true with a huawei power adapter, not fast charging this device. I have tried to disable all the ai charging and power Master stuff. Dose somebody else have an advice or a simial experience?
Not possible

Nope
I think Dash charging isn't helping in real life multipurpose use.... but Qualcomm quite charging does that....
Oneplus should make dash charging support power bank or make 3/3T Quick charging 3.0 enabled ?
Well, OPPO's VOOC flash charge is the same as DASH, and people report their VOOC power banks work with DASH charging (with a Micro-USB to USB-C adapter).
OPPO link: http://www.oppo.com/ph/accessory-vooc-power-bank (I only found it on their Philippine page)
Amazon link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/OPPO-VOOC-Flash-Charge-Power/dp/B00SINEEXA (Out of stock)
Good luck finding one.
Try vooc power bank and it won't give you exact same speed as dash charge as dash charge because that gives output of 4amps but the vooc power bank by vivo give 3.4amps but that should also be fast and it should work because vivo and oneplus are owned by same company and use same technology with different names

any one know
this 5V 4.2A can charge like dash?
from gsmarena:
We initially thought that the Rapid charging tech used by Lenovo must be Quick Charge 3.0 since the P2 uses a Qualcomm chipset. However, our third-party QC3.0 charger didn't charge the P2 particularly fast, so the jury is still out on whether Lenovo is using a proprietary charging technology.
so... my car charger and my power bank, BOTH qc 3.0 are useless with this phone??
Our charger is a basic 12V 2A charger, giving a total of 24W Power. I don't see anything special in the charger. It's probably not the usual QC we had heard of. I have seen in some reviews though about this charging technology being different and very interesting.
A problem would be: what charger for the car???
i have the phone and i can confirm it only uses the QC feature with the included CHARGER
no way to use any qc 2/3.0 charger....mmhhh bad decision lenovo!

I don't see your point. This charger outperforms any other chargers in the market even turbo and dash chargers.
Why do you ppl always end up blaming others.
because i am against the proprietary charging algorithms..... dash charge is great? NOPE.... it forces you to use a special cable, a special charger, no 3rd part suppliers... high price of chargers, is it a good move for the customer?
same thing for this lenovo charging solution, ok the fastest one, but if i lose che official charger i am stucked with the NORMAL 5v 2a solution....
this is not a great thing imho, and all power banks i have qith 7/9/12v qc features are USELESS with the lenovo p2......
You're thinking only voltage my friend, check if your power bank can supply 2A at 12V. Probably no. Mostly all power banks bottlenecks at 1.5A.
So, there isn't a way to use another charger for fast charging?

my xiaomi power bank 2 20000mah does have qc3.0 and it's tested to arrive higher than 2A at 12v ... but even if other chargers are "only" capable to reach 12v at 1,5A ... it is still a missed quick charge because p2 uses proprietary charge coding
ok this is not THEp roblem, but just a con. like for dash charge people repeat at eveyone that oneplus is the fastes... but hey without an available dach charge power bank... that phone is s "joke"
I have another QC3.0 wall charger, when i plug to P2 it's out put at 2A only not fast charge.
But when i plug original charger from P2 to another phone fsst charge status is become.
???
How many times will you open new topic for the same problem ?

Hi.
I originally came from a vibe P1 which is now my gf's. One issue I had with the P1 is it gets noticeably hot during charging, which I take is not so good for the battery. Can I use a lower rated charger and let the P2 charge at normal speed to prolong the lifetime of this phone? I currently have a 2A charger from a Xiaomi RN4, I do not know how much current is the P2 charger rated. I'd appreciate all inputs.
Thanks.
you can indeed . of course it will take a bit longer to charge the phone . I use an old Samsung charger - 0.5A for charging phone and tablet .

Any chance that you know the Watt rate of the stock charger that comes with the phone? I have a 5V 2A charger which I guess is 10W. I have no idea how much W is Quick Charge 3.0 rated for but I'd like to have one quick charger to bring with me on trips and a normal one to charge it at home in normal situations.

I received the phone today. I think the charger that comes with the phone is some kind of quick charger because it is rated for different voltages, about the same current. So the verdict is the p2 has quick charging, just not Qualcomm's quick charge 3.0?

I have 2 fast chargers in the house. Upstairs and downstairs, both are unbranded. Both chargers works flawless and i get the rapid charging status on both. One is fast charge 2.0 which charges my mi a2 lite fast and the other is quick charge 3.0 which charges the same amount of time as the 2.0.
Hope this helps.
I doubt any QC charger actually uses QC-Mode, they just use 2 Ampere at max like the charger which came with the device.
I could complain about some features of the phone, but charging time is none of them. IMO 2 hours for a full cycle are totally fine. My old Moto G4 (3000 mAh battery) used to charge 4 hours+ with the shipped charger, hehe.
Hi guys
I recently bought a poco f3 256g 8g ram, it's a great phone but one thing I have noticed is that when you try to fast charge it, it works then stops with the charging icon saying its charging even when you pull the charging cable out. I checked it with accu battery and it show that its not charging with minus amp age going in. You then turn the phone off and the charging icon resets. It charges fine when you don't use a fast charger and use a non fast charge brick. I don't have the original f3 charger but have tried my mate 20 Pro fast charge brick as well as my old s8 plus charger and new cables it only charges on a non fast charger. Any ideas anyone?
make sure the fast charger is 33W
Hi thanks for the reply are these phones really that sensitive to the the wattage, the charger I had is a 40w Huawei fast charger and the other a Samsung 18w both start to charge then stop and you cannot charge it with any charger until you turn the phone off. I have tried to get a official poco 33w charger but they are not easy to find.
i have used my 33W charger and another charger 18W fast charger and everything looks fine. if your phone is still under warranty, go to your nearest mi service center.
Hi I got it secondhand so I can't I'm afraid I'm sort of wondering if its a protocol thing as it charges fine with a non fast charger I might flash it in time and see if its a software issue, I can live without the fast charge but it would be nice to have the capability.

They are ... You need to look at what's written on the charger , not the big W numbers.
Original charger supplies 33W by using 11V and 3Amps.
Written like this on the charger : 11V=3A 33W
Nothing else will work , I for example use 6A cable and it does not charge well - the amps are enough as you can see but the cable most likely can't handle 11V...
Open google , search for authorised xiaomi repair center and buy charging brick/cable from them. Sometimes they too just pick random charger so you'll have to check when you receive it that both the cable is rated at 3A and the brick supplies 33W like written above

Yw. My reply above mainly covers how to get 33W charging , but I have no idea why it's refusing to charge?
Oddly enough I have the same exact issue happen like bi monthly... Pretty rare but usually happens when phone is REALLY hot ( mine is modified to allow higher temp ) + the charging port is fked and I'm using non compatible cable lol.
Is possible that every once in a while it all lines up so that the phone doesn't recognize charging brick due to bad port situation + it being rly hot sends it into some sort of charging lockdown?
Either way mine is very rare.
I suggest you first get the cable/brick those are like 20/30$ + I bet any repair store would ship it to you. Then if it still doesn't work you can start troubleshooting software/port/motherboard see where the issue is...

Hi thanks for the reply I have found a poco charger on ebay and a lead not too sure about the lead but I think its suitable. I'm not sure what's going on with it but I will let you guys know if it works. I did read somewhere that someone had a similar issue and that they disconnected the battery and after that didn't have a problem, I think I will try the charger first.
Hi guys got the charger connected it up works then goes into minus amps and stops charging until you turn it off again. So I'm wondering if its worth flashing it? Really frustrating

Hi guys just a quick update I connected it up the other day and watched the ampage and voltage go into minus again frustrated I just left it and came back 10 minute later and it charged. It turns out with the original charger it goes into minus amps and voltage but if you leave it it charges and ampage goes up with the voltage.if you disconnect the charger while its in minus amps and voltage it says its still on charge and you have to reset or turn the phone off before you can attempt to charge it again. But if just connected with the original charger without disconnecting it while in minus volt and amps it will charge and the volts and ampage starts charging. I have come to the conclusion its a glitch or bug in the charging protocol for the fast charging or software..
