LG-G3 D851 - 4G stopped working on Android 7/8/9. - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear all,
I got a strange situation and I've tried several options already, but I'm lost.
My LG G3 D851 (T-Mobile) is currently running on Lineoage OS 8.1 and my 4G is not working.
Even though I selected 4G preferred. Highest what I get is H+.
I've found a modem file, but that screwed up my 4G and 3G completely.
It doesnt matter which custom rom I select it will not allow me to work with 4G.
If I go back to the original Android 6 Rom I got 4G.
Who got an idea to get this fixed?

Is your IMEI still There ? Does your Phone Show Up at qpst? You did Not Read
anything i grüess so you probably havent Backes Up your efs? Ist there No Connection at all? Flashing Roms will Not fix your problem. But you should Go to Marshmallow Stock For now.
Custom Roms only Work with 21c and lower maybe you Just flashed The Wrong Modem. Google For The XDA LG G3 Modem thread

My IMEI is still tere.
Dont know what you mean with QPST.
I've got backups and I can go back to any state, but I dont know what I should even consider check the EFS?
I'll check the Modem thread.
Maybe I can find a solution in there.

The 21C thing is incorrect. Each variant of the G3 has their own set of modems. There is no 21C for the D851.
If memory serves we had 10 series (KitKat), 20 series (Lollipop), and 30 (Marshmallow). I'm currently using 30D modem from last time I had a factory stock installed. I get 4G/LTE on all of the installed ROMs (KK, LP, MM, N, O). Even when I was on 20G they were all good, though I didn't have Oreo at the time.
@Mr-Dutch, I have a small collection of D851 modems up on Mega. Since your last stock was Marshmallow I figure the ones to try, if you elect to do so, is 30D or 30E.

LG G3 D851, Mahdi v2.9 ROM (4.4.4), microG (NoGApps), MultiROM, XDA Legacy

Yeah my Bad that was for The 855. And there IT says in The Post that IT only works Up to 21c but Not sure If thats still a Thing.
So have you tried flashing a Modem? And does IT Work now?

I screwed up on my f240

I screwed up my f240 signal. What I did was I flashed a E988 stock rom on it and since it was not working well (including not having a signal) I flashed back to f240 stock rom. Now totally no signal. I flashed the baseband f240s several times but still no luck.
Now im running stock f240s with no signal
Did I just bricked my phone?
anyone please?

Which is my phone? E980, E988 or F240L

I have done stupid things in my life, but this may top them.
I purchased an used AT&T Optimus G Pro (E980) few days ago. I bought it unlocked and was using it on T-Mobile network without any problem. I live around the area where I get LTE. AND I was getting LTE. I was successful in rooting it and was in the process of installing a custom recovery when I softbricked. No problem, right?
1. I first tried to use (TOT) found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420219 to get back to E980 stock. I could not get past 25% no matter what.
2. I then used (KDZ) to install F240L firmware. Dumb. I know, but at the time I did not know better.
3. I then used (KDZ) again to install E988. I had signal but only 2G speed.
4. I then used (TOT) to flash E980 stock. Great, but no signal. I tried various stuffs to get the signal working. I flashed all AT&T modems found. I tried installing different custom ROMs. I tried using dial pad method. I tried modifying bulidprop, but nothing is working.
5. I have also tried flashing Taiwan KDZ, Hong Kong KDZ, Central America KDZ, Panama KDZ, and German KDZ. I also tried 3 different AT&T TOT files. I can get signal on Taiwan & Hong Kong KDZ, but no signals on others.
6. I have successfully rooted my phone using Towelroot. I have installed SuperSu, BusyBox, an GPRO Kitkat Recvery.
6. Also, when I tried to flash different recoveries, it fails. PhilZ Touch CWM fails, and my phone is being recognized as the LG F240L and does not let me install at all even though I fully flashed Taiwan KDZ file (E988). LG 240L KDZ file is the first one I flashed when the AT&T TOT failed to flash.
I have no idea what I can do to get my LTE back. If someone can give any advise to get my modem work right, I would appreciate it. I am game to flashing any fimwares or trying different roms or anything.
Thanks.
Any help or suggestion is really appreciated.

Hello, I hope you already solved your problem by the time I'm writing this, but if you haven't, here is some extras to consider.
It could be funny to think about it, but it happens to everyone, we do everything we should, and we forget the basic stuff.
For basic stuff I'm referring to going into network preferences and setting up 4G/LTE as preferred network, you may also try to scan networks and see if a 4G/LTE network is on the list for your carrier, and obviously select it, if you don't see 4G networks then there could be an issue with your modem-rom combination, try something else.
Other thing is the APN, remember to set up the proper APN, maybe your phone had the proper setup when it came to you first but you wiped it all when you started flashing roms.
There are other advanced options that I haven't used to try to set 4G as preferred networks, but since I don't have 4G with my carrier I haven't had your problems to know they are, be sure to google them or search here on XDA.
Hope this helps bro!, let us know what works for you of if you still need ideas.

Thanks for your suggestion! I have an option to select GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto which has been selected. I have also manually entered the correct APN setting. I think I had messed up my phone when I flashed F240L firmware, but I am still looking for a way to get it start working properly again if possible.

ls980 says its d802

i have an american sprint lg g2, and before all these issues i was having the phone was a ls980, now that i have flashed a few roms and miraculously gotten download mode to work it says that my phone is the d802 model. I have no idea how this happened or whats going on. How do i get it back to ls980 so i can tot back to stock? Something is going on here and im starting to get kind of upset...
UPDATE:
SOMEHOW I DID IT! I flashed a ls980 rom and it moved the model back, and download is still working. Dont know how i did it exactly to get everything working, but im TOT'ing back to stock and trying everything all over again.
May have flashed a ROM with a modified build prop.

[Solved]Can't boot past lg logo

Solution: Needed ZV8 modem, that's all.
First of all, let me get this out of the way: the only access to being able to search the forums is via the XDA premium app, and I can't seem to figure out how to make it search for complete terms so when I search for "ls980 won't boot past lg logo" it searches for each word rather than the whole search term, so I end up with results for people wanting to make a logo for something, or talking about other LG phones, etc. So I apologize if this question has been answered a million times before, I personally have had no luck manually searching for an answer.
Basically, my issue is that my brand new insurance replacement LS980 won't boot past the LG logo when flashing things like the lollipop version of AICP. I've tried flashing a few different baseband and modems because I vaguely remember having this issue before when ZVA was still new, that most AOSP roms would fail to boot if you were still on ZV7 or ZV8, or were testing a version of ZVC.
So, can someone tell me what I need to flash to be able to run lollipop roms? IIRC I had this issue with some CM11 based roms too, but not all of them (as I'm currently running the very last AICP before they transitioned the nightly to lollipop)

If you still have custom recovery. Is it TWRP at 2.8.1 or higher.
Download zv8 modem from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451426
Wipe everything but internal. Flash ROM, radio, gapps. Boot.
This is how we upgraded zva to zvc on d3rp.

Ah! That's the issue! I was assuming it needed a more recent radio, like ZVA or ZVC. Didn't think ZV8 would be the one. Thank you!

Can't connect to network after restoring LG G2 LS980 to stock

Hello,
I followed this guide to restore my sprint LG G2 to stock Kitkat 4.4.2. Everything went fine, the phone is working, the only problem I have is that I can't connect to any network. The phone is not recognizing any of the local network providers. I bought this phone on ebay and it came with a custom rooted rom installed on it, so I decided to "clean up the mess" and restored stock kitkat. As I mentioned before everything went fine, but the network is not working (it was working with the android version before i restored stock 4.4.2). Maybe its because I'm not living in the USA (I'm from Bosnia/Europe). Should I flash a different radio on it? The phone is updating atm with OTA and I'm pretty sure that the updates wont help. Did anyone else had these issues? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Update: My phone just got upgraded to Lollipop, but the network issue is still present
Update 2: I just reinstalled "cm-12.1-20151031-NIGHTLY-ls980" Lollipop 5.1.1. and it had no problems to find all the networks in my area, so this clearly has to do with stock LG android 4.4.2.
When you say you can't connect to network, are you referring to your mobile carrier network, or like WiFi?
If it's your mobile carrier that you can't connect to, you might need to switch your radio. Take a look at this guide and the section about using radio switcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g2/help/how-sprint-lg-g2-ls980-to-t-mobile-t3230685

Hey there. Sorry for the late response. I kinda gave up on making the stock LG ROM work, which is why I kept on using CM12.1 . What I was referring to was my mobile carrier. The phone has no problems connecting to any WiFi signal.
I didn't try to flash any radios at all after restoring the LG G2 stock ROM. Maybe I should have tried one of the radios from this CM12.1 for LG G2 tutorial. Here is a direct LINK to the full list of LG G2 radios, where I downloaded the radio for my phone. I'm not sure if the other LS980 Radios would work on my device. There are 4 different radios available for the LG G2 LS980.
Do you think flashing one of these radios would help solving this problem after restoring the LG stock ROM?
