Need help from devs. My LG G4 wifi was causing some connection problem yesterday.. blinking icon and dropping connection... but today wi-fi completely stopped working. MAC address also shows unavailable. I have tried factory reset twice with no result.
Is the phone gone for good here or is there a solution via rooting or such?
exactly same problem after yesterday update. H815, just yesterday (before update - google patch) worked fine. After update wifi icon start blinking and after 5 mins displayed message 'searching wifi network'. but nothing happens, it even unable to display networks list. all solutions at forum (clear data for apps) are not working. Thinking to go to lg service center.
Same here. Was working then updated the phone now blinking icon and no mac address. Updated the firmware via my pc but still no luck. Its totally stock h815 and no idea why the fff its wifi is now broke??? please someone help with this issue if you can.
anybody have found a solution? Or only way to go to LG service center?

Same Problem Here!! Any solution?
Not sure what's going on with your connection issues, but the MAC address will only show when WiFi is on.

Hello, I got the same problem and I maybe found a solution !
Thats what I did on my LG G4:
- Turn the airplane mode ON
- Reboot the phone
- Turn the airplane mode OFF
- Go to wifi settings and if the wifi is not activated, turn it on
- If the bug persist at this point, do the process again
This happened to me on Sprint variant. Did a factory reset and never got passed the Google setup. Had to return the phone
Anybody ever find a solution to this problem? I have contacted LG repair service but I have heard nothing back from them. Not what I wanted to do as my bootloader is unlocked...

Tried rebooting router??
Yeah, flashed a stock 5.1 kdz to see if it would help but still the same. I had flashed a 6.0 rom and it was working for a day and then the problem started. Flashing back to stock 5.1 didn't help.
The phone is getting picked up tomorrow and will be fixed within 5 to 7 days according to the email from LG. I just hope they will fix it because of the unlocked bootloader...
same problem here. very disapointed to lg. i heard that this is harware problem.
wifi icon keeps blinking. no warranty at all. bought in korea.

Just wanted to thank you for this. Ive had this same damn problem for 2 days and this worked as a workaround. This was the second time the bug surfaced, the first time resolved itself after a day and a system update that was pushed to my phone right before the bug started. It was already downloaded so i just installed it and the bug went away. A week later the bug surfaces again and Im pissed off ready to take my phone in and i stumble on this. IT WORKED! Thanks again.

I got this to work on my Wife's G4 when it was having the flashing WiFi issue, well, sort of. In addition to switching airplane mode on I had to toggle bluetooth and NFC, then all the sudden WiFi connected and stayed that way. I then rebooted and turned airplane mode off and everything seems to be ok now.
I have the same problem after updating my LG G4 to 6.0. The wifi is flashing and mac is bogus: 02:00:00:00:00:00. Bluetooth is also unavailable.
I contacted LG support and they told me to factory reset the phone. This did not make a difference.
Any updates on how to fix this?

Thanks AymericM!!!!! This was driving me mad, and your strange tip worked, i can´t believe it!!
Rebooting is just a temp solution and doesn't always work.
No dev here have any permanent solution?

I received notifaction about a new software update and its being downloaded .. When i left wi-fi coverage and went back it didnt resume so i restarted my phone and it doenst resume since then .. Though i have both data service and wi-fi working .. I guess the problem might be that the pacakge it partially downloaded has been corrupted somehow and needs to be removed so it can start fresh but i dont know thr name of package or where can i find it .. Please help

Same here - but I solved this problem.
It's as easy as it sounds! - Get in Touch with the LG-Chat-Support and tell them about your problem. They will ask for your IMEI and only about 48h at max. you will receive the OTA-Info on your screen, like it was on mine!
It's something because of IMEI's and their registrations... ask the Support for further details.

Lenovo OTA servers are down . Everyone is getting the same error message.

You can do it manually if you want.
Facing same problem after replaced screen from service centre.can't do anything but engineer in service centre said that some updates will come on 18 AUGUST which will solve some bugs in Nought update.
Now God knows whether update will come or not
And if comes it solves the problem or increase it?

Hey thanks I at last followed the steps and I was able to able to upgrade my android in Lenovo P2 and my phone works fine accept from the contact list, like what is happening now is if I add one number in my contact list it creates a duplicate copy of it on my phone contacts list automatically. Can some one help me resolve this issue please.
OK guys so this post for everyone who is experiencing trouble with wifi after installing the latest nougat ODIN update posted here in the forum by stek-karvari, so after i installed the update and everyhting worked well ,but the wifi wont connect to any network it will not even see any network but the cellular data was ok so i managed to get to the desktop and after alot of searching to no avail , i tried to install same update from another developer it is called BOXwares you can find it on androidfilehost.com but i had the same result i am telling you this becasue the following method was not tested onthe firmware that i first installed although it is the same build, anyways here is how i fixed it:
1-go to wifi and add a network that you know the name and password for (it will be added but wont connect)
2-activate airplane mode
2-go to the wifi which is now disabled because of the airplane mode and activate it whie in airplane mode walla it will now connect to your network
3-now the wifi will work all you have to do to restore the cellular signal is to deactivate airplane mode again
hope i helped anyone who got into wifi issues after this update
BTW why i wasnot able to downgrade to an earlier build? i searched about it and it seems you cant downgrade? really?
When i try to check for an update it gets stucked on Connecting to server and after few minutes it shows failed error. Is someone else facing this issue after august patch?
