unable to update flashed stock tab S (t-705) - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi its been a while. I'm wanting to part with my Tab S T-705 tablet. It was previously unlocked (to support any sim) and rooted. About 1-2 year ago I had difficulty but managed to re flash the tablet to run on a stock FW 6.0.1. As I'm selling it to an electrical exchange shop they run tests in order to pass it as a working trade in.
In its current state, it can be rebooted on its current fw. It functions like a stock tab s, access to play store, internet access etc. However tried to search for a new update as its been a while and got a message saying the following: (please see attachments for screenshots)
Why does it think a stock fw had been modified and how can I get stock fw to run on it so that it can search for updates and work as a stock tab s would?
Thanks

Android 4.0.4 update for second time?

Hi,
i bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 about two months ago, i'm from Spain so i'm not sure it is a T-Mobile device. I think the device came with 4.0.1 update of ICS and some weeks agot the device i got 4.0.4 update and then using CF-Root 6.4 and Odin 1.85 managed to get root access so i was able to install busybox and UMS application from xda forums. So everything was working fine. About 3 days ago i got an update notification which showed me a message which said "Updates will be provided in the request order preference" or something like this, i repeated the operation some times in order to gt the update but had no luck so i thought i had to wait for 4.1 update to get published.
The curious thing is today, when i woke up i noticed a firmware update was ready to be installed so went through it but the strange thing was when i went to settings to check the version and i saw it was still/again 4.0.4 version of ICS. Also noticed Google Play Books and Google Play Movies got installed so on one hand it seemed everything went fine cause new apps were there but on the other hand 4.0.4 versions was still there. After that, i went to check if i still had root access but i hadn't. Then tried to grant root access again using CF-Root and Odin 1.85 but had no luck, so now it's not possible for me get root access again and i'm also still wondering how is it possible that today's update left the phone with the same Android version as before the update. Does any one has a clue about it all? The only explanation i can find is the phoen came with 4.0 version, first update got me to 4.0.1 and today's update guided me to the 4.0.4 but i'm still wondering why root access is not working as it should.
Hope someone can help. Thanks in advanced!

[Q] Data connection problem, and queries about rooting, flashing and stock recovery

So, this is my first time (both on xda, and on android)...
I've got a unlocked AT&T Captivate Glide with GB 2.3.6 (with the AT&T bloatware) on it.
The problem is that although the (voice) calling and texting and Google Play is working perfectly, the browsers (built-in as well as Dolphin) cannot surf any websites at all. Dolphin gave me and error msg "of my carrier not supporting cellular data or some malware preventing data connectivity"
What (if any) is the solution for this problem??
A thing I have been wondering about since I found XDA is the ICS update.
As is public knowledge, the ICS update (unofficial) for the i927 is available, and the repaired Samsung official update should also be round the corner. So, how can I update to either (official or unofficial) and still keep my phone unlocked??
And although I really am keen to get root access on my phone, I was wondering if I can update to ICS without rooting??
Finally, while I am eager to get ICS on the phone, I am apprehensive of bricking the phone.
So, how do I take a back-up of my phone as it is right now??
And what are the steps to initiate stock-recovery in case of a stalled update attempt??
I am sorry for the long list of queries, but I am what you may call a "super-noob", especially on android.
Any and all help is appreciated.

1. Install CWM via Odin
2. Boot into CWM and make a nandroid backup.
3. Either flash ICS via CWM or the 1 click exe.
Sent from my SGH-I927 using xda app-developers app
official I927UCLJ3 to be flashed on unlocked ATT Captivate Glide?

I have installed CWM on my Captivate Glide and have the official I927UCLJ3_I927ATTLJ3_ATT.zip (from samfirmware) on my PC.
So, all I need to do now is make a nandroid backup and flash it with samfirmware ICS stock??
I apologize if I appear edgy, but I do not have the unlock code for the handset, and so I do not want disable (SIM usage on) it.
Thank you.
If you downloaded from Sam firmware you will not use CWM. Those roms are installed via ODIN. You can do that now. Just open up ODIN and flash it as you did to install CWM but without checking the PDA. Please note I believe this will remove your CWM and you will have to reinstall it again if you want it after you flashed the I927UCLJ3.

[Q] Need to unroot my phone.

So, I recently "rooted" my phone. With the aid of KingoRoot. Which was a bit troublesome at first cause I didn't exactly know how to handle the forever boot loop but it didn't take me long. Anyways.
After I rooted I couldn't use Samsung's Screen Mirror feature. After a couple of quick searches, I learned that I couldn't use the feature because I rooted my phone. It displayed an error which says something about a hardware issue. I want the feature back.
So I decided to unroot. I thought I did. Using, again, KingoRoot. But the error was still there and I couldn't use the feature.
I misread my android version number As 4.2.2 so I decided to update my phone as well (It was actually 4.2.2.). When I went to the software update menu and pressed update now and pressed okay, it says "The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way. Try downloading software updates using Samsung Kies on your PC, or visit a customer service center."
So I thought the root wasn't fully removed. Once again, I rooted my phone using KingoRoot. but this time used SuperSU to unroot. This also produced the same result and I still have not been able to use the feature.
I tried to use Kies. Tried Firmware upgrade and initialization. Didn't work. Tried several times. It always "fails",
My friend suggested that I use Odin to flash the stock firmware. So I went to Sammobile. Entered my model number and found lots of firmware and was confused cause I couldnt find matching firmware. Anyone know how I could get the right firmware? Or a better way to unroot?
I used "*#1234#" To get this information: AP: N7100XXUFNE1, CP: N7100XXUFND3, CSC: N7100XAFNE1.

Possible to flash sm-p600 rom onto sm-p605v?

So, I ordered a refurb sm-p600 Wifi-only tablet from Amazon, but I received a Verizon sm-p605v. Now they show out of stock on the Wifi model. Am trying to arrange a swap, but don't know how successful I'll be.
It's my first tablet and I absolutely LOVE it and don't want to give it up.
So, it's basically the same thing, but there are issues:
1.) Has Verizon junk all over it.
2.) Complains about no SIM card - if I put in a SIM card it complains about activation. (These don't appear to ever go away)
3.) Have to keep it in airplane mode or it will drain the battery trying to connect, if I keep it in airplane mode, at least one app (Accuweather) complains about no network
4.) And this is the biggest issue - can't check for new updates - I really want Lollipop so it matches my phone, but it basically says update is unavailable. I assume Verizon has it set up so that you have to pull updates only from them.
I'm never going to put this on a mobile plan and I'd really prefer to have the non Verizon tablet, but if I can't, is it possible to flash the stock wi-fi sm-p600 firmware onto this so that it thinks it's a sm-p600 - or is this a recipe for brick making?
I also haven't been able to find a sm-p605v lollipop image, so I may be out of luck assuming the answer is no.
I'm in a similar situation. I purchased what I thought was a SM-P605 (international version) and I got shipped a SM-P605V (Verizon edition). In my case, the vendor listed the device as an SM-605, but it was an SM-P605V. Further down in the listing it listed it as a Verizon edition, so that's the reason they declined the return.
Unfortunately, you cannot use SM-P600 firmware, as it is a different processor.
There is a way to update it to 5.1.1 though. When plugging the tablet into the PC, there is a Verizon utility for Windows on the tablet that lets you update the software. (it's based on Samsung Kies). I just did it yesterday. Works fine. I'm trying to figure out if I can put a non-Verizon factory Samsung image on it so I can at least have the option to put my own custom image on it (the Verizon edition has a locked bootloader, which prevents you from putting non-Samsung ROM images).
I personally am sick of vendors customization of Android to the point where it is not recognizable. Give us the option for stock Android...
After 3 attempts I finally got them to send me the correct Wifi only model, which works great!

Getting back to stock/MobileIron

I've rooted and flashed custom roms many times during the years on many devices, but this is the first time I've needed to go back to stock and it didn't really go as planned.
The reason is I planned to use my old retired One X as work phone and use my work phone for other purposes and our company is using MobileIron which requires an unrooted phone and also adds several other limitations to the phone (requires a five digit pin, doesn't allow stuff on the lock screen etc.).
I was previously running a Resurrection Remix (Android 5.1) on it with the new layout, but I installed an old Philz recovery, reformatted the sd card, flashed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970, that was supposed to be completely stock, not rooted, no busybox etc. and then also installed the stock recovery after the rom. After that I was able to take an official OTA update to fix the heartbleed bug (4.18.401.4) and I thought everything was fine.
I then registered and installed MobileIron and also that looked fine and I got a nice green checkbox that all was ok, but when I did the final step to try to connect to the corporate Exchange ActiveSync that failed and I got a mail telling me something like "Critical. Your mobile device has been detected as compromized (jailbreaked or rooted). All access to corporate information has been blocked/removed from the device.".
Does anybody know what MobileIron is looking for and if there is any way to be more stock than I currently am? I don't suppose it will check for an unlocked bootloader? I do have an old RUU lying around "RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed". But it feels wrong to use a RUU to downgrade the phone (if that's even possible on a S-ON phone?), and even if I did would I be able to upgrade to the current version using OTA's in that case? If it matters my CID is HTC__Y13.
