Hi, I already tried talking to HTC support but they've written my phone off essentially. Thought I'd try here!
I've never tried to root or anything (not that I didn't want to, just couldn't figure it out) so I've never seen Fastboot before.
It ran out of battery about 36 hours ago and I left it overnight. When I charged it yesterday and booted it, it went straight into fastboot.
It says:
*** Software status: Official ***
*** LOCKED ***
A31_UL PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-3.19.0.0000
RADIO-INVALID_VER_INFO
OS-1.51.401.5
eMMC-boot 1024MB
Aug 27 2015,21:15:13.0
I've tried rebooting the phone, pulling the battery, connecting to PC (PC doesn't recognise it), doing a factory reset from the HBOOT menu (which just makes it reboot, the Radio line goes away, then when rebooted again it comes back).
I've been searching for threads with the same issue but every one I've found also has the OpenDSP-INVALID_VER_INFO line, which I don't have. And I think most of them also say unlocked.
It is an old phone now, so if it can't be fixed I'm okay to just get a new one, but I'd like to try. Any ideas?

To make a long story short, the Dinc is stuck at the Hboot screen. How it got there, not quite sure. Wasn't my phone and am trying to fix it for a friend.
I have a tested working SD card, and tested working USB cable. The phone, when power is pressed - boots to the white HTC screen, then goes blank/black. The phone can get to the bootloader by vol+&power, but when accessing recovery choice, again, white HTC screen then blank/black. I've tried flashing stock with pg32img.zip, but it hangs on recovery (30+ min).
I've tried connecting to PC, and the drivers are properly installed, HTC sync is removed and the device is seen by fastboot; but not adb. In fastboot, regardless of the command, I get an error. Again, any ideas and assistance are welcome.
Thank you,

fastboot devices should show as follows.
Hi there.
The problem is that I can't turn on my phone as it gets stuck no that green HTC logo.
It all started when I installed an app from google market. The phone was restarting every time I launched the app. Eventually it stopped turning on and got stuck. Also, I tried doing hard reset and other things from HBOOT menu, but there's the same problem if I choose anything except recovery— it gets stuck. I searched for the issue on the internet. So, I decided to flash a newROM. I downloaded 2.42.405.4 — Android 2.3 (with root+busybox, installs from Recovery). Renamed it as PC10IMG.zip and put it on a SD card. Then I tried to run a recovery through HBOOT. After few seconds phone with a circle of arrows appeared and phone turned off and did 7 short vibrations. Now, I guess, it's bricked completely as it doesn't respond to my actions at all. Neither the red light in the corner after I connect the phone to computer.
I managed to get some information from HBOOT menu:
Code:
VISION PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-0.85.0013
MICROP-0425
RADIO-26.10.04.03_M
eMMC-boot

Before the issue I downloaded official 2.3 upgrade.
Some help would be appreciated, thanks
So i had rooted my Htc one m8 a couple months ago and then it started glitching on me so i tried to put it back into factory settings but i pushed the wrong setting and hard reset it. After that i tried to re-lock it to see if that would help me. Well it just made matters worse. I cant figure out what to do i used twrp to root it. When i try to connect it to the computer it makes the sound of a device connecting but it doesn't show anything connected. I tried to connect it to htc sinc and it says its connecting but never does. I have been trying to figure this problem out for about 3 months now if you could help me. It would be much appreciated. I have also tried to use adb but it doesn't reconise the divice either.
The specs are:

What do you mean by "hard reset"? Folks usually use this term to refer to a simple reboot, usually using the button combo (power + vol up) while others use this term interchangeably with factory reset (which is what you were trying to do). So the statement is confusing.
Did you do this in TWRP or otherwise?

adb doesn't work in bootloader. Ever. Needs to be booted into OS or possibly works in recovery.
Does fastboot connect? Any response to command: fastboot devices
Phone must be in bootloader, and select fastboot, for it to work.
If it does work, you are in business, and just run the Sprint RUU.
Hello,
My friend gave me HTC One M8(possibly M8x, I'll send picture of model here). He told me that he gave that phone earlier to other friend and what he had to do was reinstall stock, but he f**ked up something there and now the phone gives me this:
https://youtu.be/aHfUmTGDHyc
I disassembled the phone, and looked on battery voltage and it's fine, when I plug the phone to pc or charger it gives me only screen with charging battery, red led and it's pulsing, and then after maybe 5-10 sec screen is black, and go to the charging screen again. I can't even go to fastboot because it turns off. Do you have any idea for this?
And if it will help you, this is what I see in recovery screen:

Hey, so my Mum has a HTC One M8, she hasn't used it in a while and she went to power it up today, but of course it was flat, so we charged it up and now its stuck in the bootloader screen. The phone won't connect to my laptop either. The Factory Reset option is futile and does nothing, aswell as everything else i've tried. I'm really not computer savvy and neither is my Mum, so i doubt she tried tampering with the system. Although it says

No one has used this phone in awhile, and when it was in use, it never had it's software tampered with.
So, to sum it all up, Phone was turned off for a long period of time, we turned it on, and it's been stuck in bootloader mode ever since and wont connect to the lap top.
Thanks in advance.
I don't think that version M8 has an RUU (ROM Update Utility), which would be a pretty easy recovery tool.
That being the case (no RUU available), the way to get the phone up and running would be pretty involved, and not that easy if you haven't done any phone modifications before. You would need to unlock the bootloader, install custom recovery TWRP, then copy the proper stock TWRP backup files to the phone, and restore that backup.
