Ok and what is the word?

As it is written in the Rules. Ye shall search before ye shall post a question. That is the word.
Thou has posted without searching. Thou has ignoreth the word.
Thou shalt go unanswered in the name of Root.
Amen.

Since when is there root for the 3xl? I know root happened for the 1 and 2's. But the 3's have new partitions now with Q. If I'm wrong, do tell!

I seen the 1 and 2 get it on Q with Magisk but not really on the 3. There is another thread about root but lets just call it Unofficial:laugh:. [Guide]Kinda root Q DP1[CROSSHATCH] by J0SH1X

And I read about that. However, it seems like it's not real true root and some things just don't even recognize it as root. That's why I asked this question.

Not ready yet for the 3's on Q. He just started working on it again, he was on root for the S10 for quite awhile.

[Q] Temporary Root?

Has anyone tried any methods on the G4? I havn't found any specific information for this device other than somebody saying it can be done.
Z4root?
Wondershare?
iRoot?
1. i dont think anyone tried any of those, brcause the devs saying that there is no root yet
2. if you want you can try it out
Someone in the AT&T forum tried oneclickroot.com and his phone is bricked. If there was root available for any variant other than the 815, we would all be rooting right now.

Well put. And the devs. Are currently working on trying to simplify for people to root, and less chances of people bricking their phone. So we just have to be patient and let the devs do what they are good at. Once they figure it out it will be all over xda. Until then lets just be patient.

Still the safest and THE only safe source of rooting IS XDA. Don't linger around on other weird 'we root all' apps/sites!

Please point me in the right direction...

Ok sorry in advance for seeming like a noob... I haven't rooted an android device since the galaxy prevail years ago.... I currently have a sprint galaxy s6 ( BOL1 UPDATE) and I have been looking for how to root it but either I'm missing something or I haven't seen any root specific posts regarding the BOL1 UPDATE... I just want to be safe before flashing anything so any guidance in the right direction would be greatly appreciated...
Unikernel or Systemless Root with the new SuperSU will work.

Might be time. I would want to bring in @JoeFCaputo113 who created the original guide that we all used to get started.
Joe, a lot of people are asking if the same methods work for OL1. (They do, but people ask.)
And we can address using the new SuperSU (which Joe originally posted about) as well.
Thoughts?

You think it's worth putting off the new update or just go ahead and do it since it's not looking like we will get root

I don't see root coming anytime soon my friend. Devs have been working on it since last October with no luck. Heck, the origin Verizon pixel just got a root method a month or so ago, and it's almost 2 years old. I'd just move on down the line if I were you

Should I root my A50?

Last phone I rooted was my mi 9. So far i Havent yet, should I? what do you guys think
Don't root. Not worth the risk and effort. GCam does not work no matter you root or not.

Can anyone recommend what rom I should get?
So is it true, that you lose root after rebooting? I dont want to root if thats the case

Upgrade to OUI 2.5 or stay at 2.1 Bootloader 3

Is it worth the upgrade to OUI 2.5 over staying at Bootloader 3 with 2.1 waiting for possible root in the future or no? I've been holding off updates for it but wondering still since rarely I have gotten root on a Snapdragon Samsung phone (cept a S7 just a few months back)
Nothing in One UI strikes me as, oh, earthshattering. I'm not into photography so the improvements there don't matter to me. I don't use Dex so wireless Dex isn't meaningful. Google can help you find articles detailing everything that's new in One UI 2.5. If some of what you read sounds good for you, then I'd suggest upgrading.
But like you, I don't root anymore, so there's no need to preserve older boot loaders.

There are ways to unlock bootloader on US snapdragons. I have the US Tmo Note 10 +5G and I got my bootloader unlocked. I am now rooted and on One UI 2.5.

It's a tradeoff. Installing a custom recovery, the way I remember rooting, trips Knox. For me, the secure folder is more important. But I recognize different people have different priorities.
EDIT: Magisk came along after I quit the rooting game, and I've recently read through the steps for rooting without a custom recovery. I might give this a whirl someday.

I know there is that method but I know my dad or me if I can make dough would be able to get the total bootloader price for root. Im more or less waiting on a root vunerability than custom rom for themes and stuff

Good luck with that. The Note 9 people spent years trying and couldn't find one. Wish you the best.

There is no crystal ball on exploits. This is a decision you kind of need to make on your own.
