If you don't want pie then zui is best or the citrus caf 7.1.2

I'm currently using viper os based on 7.1.2 and its the most stable rom for our phone for better battery life with this phone try heliox kernel version dated 15-10-17.
Firstly you will have to unlock the bootloader and then install a custom recovery (you can find many videos on youtube for this)

Viper OS with nougat is the best ROM in terms of smoothness and stability. But if you wanted more latest stable ROM with support for portrait cam try CrDroid nougat ROM.
can anyone port the oos camera to oreo based custom rom ?
there's a thread about oos camera port but it only supports nougat :crying:
Just install newest version from apkmirror. It works for me on los 15.1

no android p for ugg/ugglite ... source is nougat , official rom nougat... Custom oreo boot but camera is not fixed wait...
Why riva can go to Pie 9.0 / Oreo 8.0 on Pixel ROM?
Riva have same chipset sd425 like ugglite on Nougat too.
Ugg/ugglite still stuck on Nougat 7.1 (forever).

for now no stable pie , but we have pie ROM working which have camera, sound, brightness bug.

Now all PIE custom roms i have tried with PUBG lags everytime i play, and have alot of glitches so any PIE rom doesn't make that lag on this game??

Nope , you should stay on oreo for now if you use your phone for gaming untill pie conpletely stable
AOSP Extended Official build has none of these problems and along with syberia has less bugs than many Pie Roms

I am on global stable Oreo 10.2.2.0 and i am waiting for my bootloader to be unlocked ( !!!! Hours )
my question is
is better to upgrade to Beta miui PIE 9.3.28 before flashing my first TWRP
OR
stay on OREO and flash TWRP
is better to have PIE base OR OREO BASE?????
For now, Oreo base is better for almost every custom ROM.
MIUI pie it's still unstable right now, better stay in oreo if you using it for dialy driver
