Hi, I've been trying to add files into my DevDB downloads section. Whenever I click
Code:
Add a file
a window pops up saying
Code:
Missing or incorrect project information
.
Is there any way to resolve this? Even on a new project this error pops up.

I've never encountered this specific issue myself but, you should be able to obtain some guidance within the following thread that's specific to the DevDB.

Hi how come I can not see some posts?
anyone can help me thanks..
vBulletin Message
luxio, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

A few changes have been created to help the fight against spambots. As such all new members (until they reach 5 posts...used to be 8 but I believe its been reduced to 5) will have some restrictions such as unable to post links, access to certain areas and also their first 5 posts are monitored and approved. Once you have reach this limit these restrctions will be removed.
Thanks for you patience in this matter
Rick
OK: I'm curious why I can't download basic stuff like MTTY, even though I'm listed as a "senior member" with over 100 posts. Insufficient privileges, but why?
I've brought this up in the moderator forum. Hopefully the admins can look into this for you.
Also, try the suggestions I made in reply to your other post.
Ta,
Dave

There are new restrictions on posting links / pics etc but there are not supposed to be download restrictions. As Dave said above this has been raised by the Mods and Admin is aware - but I'll check on it.
Mike
thank you i just need to get post counts up
You do not have permission to access this page
I get the You do not have permission to access this page message when I try to view http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639168 It's the MobilePad thread. Is the whole thread closed or is it about MY account? So far I have 13 posts.
Could someone of the senior members try to view that thread and report back here?
I'd apprectiate it.
Regards MaeSiuS
I can't access that thread too, so the count of posts would not be the problem.
I'd guess that thread got removed for violating forum rule #11:
11. Don’t post with the intent on selling something

The thread has been moved to a restricted internal review section of the forum as it appears to breach Forum Rule #11. The XDA Admins have already been notified.
Regards,
OK thanks for pointing that out.
When I try to create a new XDA: DevDB project, I get the below error:
You do not have permission to edit a project. If reaching this message in error, please notify an administrator.

What's the reason?
Is there any pre-requisites for NEWBIES to create a new project?
If so, conveying that message, instead of a generic sentence would help a lot
Thanks.

Hi
I hope this is the correct area for this question?
I am having a go at building crackling for the Wileyfox Swift (1). I have set up a Unbuntu machine for this purpose as per the instructions on the Lineage website.
The problem I am having is downloading from git.
All goes well for a while, but then I start seeing -
Fatal: Not a git repository: /home/Ubuntu/android/lineage/.repo/projects/external/guice.git
The last folder and file in that string vary.
I have tried git init but that doesnt help.
What I am doing wrong?
Regards
Tubster

Here's just a handful of Guides available on the forum and I believe that one or more of them will be helpful for you. Don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within one of them.

I DO NOT provide support via PM unless asked/requested by myself. PLEASE keep it in the threads where everyone can share.
Thank you for those links :good:
Unfortunately only one of them mentioned the problem I have, but it had a solution that didn't apply for me.
My problem isnt the setup (I think), as I have copied exactly the instructions on the lineage website.
Most of the source does download, but there's a few dozen areas where it fails with the above metioned error.

What is the proper way to request features or report bugs for a given ROM (e.g. Xiaomi Mix 2). I saw a maintainer name was listed but there's no way to contact him.

If you go to the following LineageOS link...
https://download.lineageos.org/chiron
... at the top of the page (under the words "Builds for chiron"), select the "Device info" and it takes you to the following link...
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/chiron
... scroll to the bottom portion of that page and the listed "Maintainers" reflects "@mikeioannina" as the Official Lineage Team Maintainer for your device.
Fortunately, this individual has the same member name, as follows, on XDA as well.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3839575
With that stated...
The only thing that I can guide you to is the following Official Lineage Link that reflects a way to either Contribute and where to ask for support.
https://www.lineageos.org/community/
You now have all the information on where/how to contact the Lineage Team and the individual via XDA and the above link.
I hope that I had explained this okay via text...
Good Luck!

Thanks, it did help a lot. I'll try to create a forum post here and @ mikeioannina.
I publish a firmware update (for Xperia M2) every month and edit the first post.
After editing on May 25, the whole topic disappeared.
Nobody sees her, I only see her in my subscriptions - but I can’t open it (you do not have permission to access this page.)
I checked it now on another topic - the topic also disappeared, after the Edit project.

When will the problem be fixed? How to publish firmware now? Forget the lost topics and make new topics?

Sir, I apologise that it took a while but the web gurus were able to create a fix that seems to have solved the problem.
Please have a look; as far as I see your "lost" threads are back.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
