Hi,
just wondering, is it possible to create apps that make use of the ToF camera or is it currently locked down/not documented by Honor?
If it is indeed possible, are there any resources available? Google searches didn't help me out this time, sadly.
Thanks!

I am an absolute beginner in C# coding and i would like to create a simple flashlight application, i know some basic C# coding but i was just wondering how i would go about gaining access to the hardware, like the flashlight, does anyone know of a link, webpage, instructional video etc. where i could find this information? all help is greatly appreciated.
again i do have some experience in coding, ive made a veryyyyyyyy simple app i would just like to expand on it.
Have you checked out the code samples on msdn yet? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff431744(v=vs.92).aspx, the second sample in camera deals with using the hardware like the camera itself, flash etc in your applications. There's also a section that gives code examples for sensors and what not as well as tons of other useful info on that site. Hope it helps. Ohh, and welcome to xda.
I know this has already been discussed in several threads, but none of them go further than just stating that it doesn't work. I'm talking about external mic support on the OnePlus 3's best video recording apps: OnePlus cam and Gcam. All alternatives are far inferior, but if you know any, please tell me (including voice recording apps that can record while filming).
I'm a total noob at making/modding apps, but I've go so far as to having converted the apks to java source code (or as close as dex2jar can get it. It just seems so simple to change from TYPE_BUILTIN_MIC to TYPE_WIRED_HEADSET with setPreferredDevice() in the interface AudioRouting. But that isn't the case, and I would like to ask if OnePlus cam and Gcam just have different names for these thing and it still would be quite easy to change, or if it's so entangled and proprietary that it's impossible. I have the java code for reference, but not sure if it's against the rules to upload even thought they're free apps.
Does anyone have experience with this and can help me/try and mod the apks?
Here's some files with audio in their names (is this where to look and if so, which?):
OnePlus cam:
AudioAttributesCompatApi21.class
AudioAttributesCompat.class
AudioManagerImpl.class
AudioManager.class
AudioManagerBuilder.class
Gcam:
AudioFrameProvider.class
AudioSample.class
AudioFrameConsumer.class
AudioTrackDecoder.class
In addition to the there are also files with names like: ExternalMediaSource.. MediaDecoderSource.. TrackDecoder..
Thanks in advance - ASH19
Hello everyone, I was recently gifted a 360 camera for my phone. Its A "LOLLY360 Panoramic Camera". Its cool. I found it on Amazon and apparently costs $80. You need to download the Lolly360 accompanying app in order to use it though. Which is kind of a bummer.
Herein lies my question: could there be a way to hack this thing to get it to "take over" the main camera of the phone? That way any app can utilize the 2 cameras on the accessory device?
I'm not sure where to even ask this question. Because its really more about hacking. But its hacking an accessory.....or possibly software? Like a man-in-the-middle approach? Any help would be appreciated.
This is what I think, because when I first installed the app and connected the 360cam, a popup asked me if I wanted to launch the app anytime THIS usb device is connected. And then, once connected, how does the camera talk to the app? Could there be a way to hijack this communication and use the accessory on ANY app that uses a camera? My fist instinct was to use it as a dash cam, since it has 2 super-wide angle cameras.
Anyway, thanks to anyone who can give some feedback...or a mod that moves this to the right forum...

I'm still curious if anyone has any input on this....so...bump
Hello everybody,
I recently found, after a bit of reserch, a good APK for the samsung notes app (since many say it's the best out there).
The problem is that to edit PDFs you need the My Files app that I couldn't find anywhere.
So I was wondering if anyone knew a download... And to make a more broad question, how can a person "modify" apps so that they can be compatible for the mi pad? (considered they do so)
Or is there maybe a certain version I should be looking for? As an example on apkmirror I found many versions of the same app, could it be a start point?
The problem is that many apks either not install or don't open after installation.
ANY help would be appreciated!
Cheers
I'm currently using the standard camera application that comes installed on lg android phones (at least on my particular model). But I know there are better camera applications available that offer additional features, I'm just trying to obtain some information about what's available. Thanks in advance for any information that might be provided to me concerning my question.
